[QUOTE="Conanfan1"][QUOTE="WhySoCry"] [QUOTE="Sonic_on_crack"]wow its on 360 , I had absolutely no interest in this game until I found that out Verge_6
It's coming out later, and as usual, the crappier version. Why pay an extra $10 for a version that is inferior?
Because the $50 version would look like a PS2 game on my computer...
Ignore him, even the Hermits have disowned him. The devs stated the 360 version will be almost exactly like the PC version, sans keyboard and mouse. If C&C 3 was able to make good use of the 360 controller, why not WIC?
Problem is the PC version can differ per PC - which means the 360 version could look like well... anything.Knowing how much C&C3 and BFME2 were scaled in visuals, im guessing it might look like the PC version on med-high DX9. There is also the problem of the 360s memory, and CPU - which seemed to riddle C&C3 and BFME2 with slowdowns - not the GPU. Also notice the unit cap.
Im sure WiC will suit the controller much better than any other console RTS - compared to the base building and micromanagement in all the others (even freaking Halo Wars), but still, with such a fast paced game using a controller could become a real hassle.
Another issue is how modified things like the MP, or game itself might be to fit the 360. And who knows if the free content will go to the 360.... And it'll lack user content.... And I strongly doubt its multiplayer community will anywhere near as large.
Ah well, what can you do. RTSs and consoles were never meant to be.
edit*
Actually without hotkey micro, or a mouse, I can see how such a fast paced RTS (noteably in MP) could become very difficult - if not frustrating on a console. Heck, its faster than C&C3...
