What the hell is wrong with ps3 fanboys on this site. Let me get this str8. When 360 outsells ps3 month after month for few years its no big deal but the minute ps3 outsells 360 by 20k -40k for couple of months than ps3 fanboys scream how its doom for 360.

Come back and talk to me when ps3 ousells 360 for 8-10 months in a row like 360 did with ps3 in recent history. Even then ps3 will still be in the last place.

360 does not need to make a come back if even with increased ps3 sales ps3 is still in the last place 2-3 years from now.

Its like in basketball for example. If you losing by 50 points it dont matter if you make 35 points in a row and other team zero. Fact still remains after the final seconds run out you still lost and other team won.

those other jrpgs not selling well has little to do with final fantasy not selling on the 360.

final fantasy is a MUCH MUCH bigger name in NA and europe than those other games you listed...

if ms advertises well enough, FF will have great sales...

One thing you need to realize is NO MATTER HOW YOU SPIN IT , AFTER ITS ALL SAID AND DONE PS3 IS STILL IN LAST PLACE AND WILL CONTINUE BEING IN LAST PLACE UNTIL THE END EVEN IF KEPT OUTSELLING 360 BY 40K A MONTH. Plus companies like EA and Activision not only look at how many consoles one company sold but how well games sell on that console!! Microsoft both spots covered. Not only is 360 a head of ps3 in consoles sales but software sells better on 360 as well.

For example. If I own EA Electronics It does me no good if ps3 outsells 360 three months in a row when 360 still has way higher game attach ratio. If im EA im gooing to lean more towards 360. Games sales = MONEY for EA.

As I said. Spint it all you want in the end its all about Bottom line and bottom line is ps3 is in last place. microsoft makes money of every 360 sold, software company could not be more happy with 360 since 360 has highest game attach ratio.

I find it funny that for the better part of 3 years, while the PS3 was getting crushed, sales did not matter.

Now there are threads all over touting PS3 sales.

Plus you have to be insane to think ththat 360 wont outsell ps3 for few months in the next 10 months.

In order for ps3 to catch up ps3 will have to outsell 360 by huge numbers month after month for next few years. Winning by few thousand numbers a month wont cut it.

For sony to go from dominating video game market to being neck to neck with microsoft i would say thats a huge lose on sony's part.

Did you really expect two of the most Overrated games this generations to make a difference. Those games aren't worth anything.

Its unfortunate - Sony PS3 was/is a very good system and a complete high-quality package. The best of the Wiii, 360, PS3 group. PS3 outta the box you get everything you need, plus more, and there is no cost on cost on cost other than games.

BUT...

Unfortunately, sony for some reason forgot how consumers operate and also forgot the age demographic of its core customers... Sony thought "Hey we will release the BMW of consoles". Consumers (especially the bulk age group of gamers) don't buy BMW, they buy Hyundai (Even if the dam thing breaks down endlessly). Consumers buy the cheapest price tag, so long as it is reasonably comparable on core functionality... As the consumer needs extra stuff they buy it. Consumers are completely unaware of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) its just spend, spend, spend in small cumulative blocks.

eg. "Feels" like 5x $100 is Cheaper then $500.

IMO PS3 new price point will put PS3 in front (period over period, almost definitely not in total life-time sales) IF and only IF M$ doesn't start ramping a new XBox720 within the next 18-months (Which they likely will because it makes sense).

The question for Sony is... Was BluRay worth sacrificing leader of consoles in this generation...? Or would it have been better to go in with a cheap gaming machine, with wide appeal, like M$ did...? Idon't think the answer is is as obvious as it may seem... Time will tell all :)

the ps3 is barely beating the 360 and this hasnt been the cae for the last two weeks in the United States the number 1 market. So expect NPD numbers in december for november to have alot of fireworks. MW2 sold 1.5 million more on the 360 and the trend will continue as weeks go on. The PS3 is a huge failure and had to slice its price in half to be competitive with the 360. Its game over in 2010 with the release of Project Natal and Halo Reach and most likely a price drop. So much for those days of owning 80 percent of the market with the PS2, so much for brand loyality, and so much for SONY dominance. Man - I got no "alligence"... Gears of War is one of my fav games... and most of my buddies have Xbox360's. But I choose PS3 because all the guys with XBox360s had to keep gettin them replaced and I'm a fiend for Movies and hiDef.

Each to their own... XBox clearly has this gen owned and I stated why (Imho) in my above post.

obviously they are wrong. I had a look at there Weekly US sales and as a total they had 360 at 19.5 Million and Ps3 at 10 mill. If 360 is beating the Ps3 by 1 mil in Europe that means Ps3 is more then 10 mil behind?

like I mentioned 360 also had a price drop and released a HALO game and a GTA game and still was not able to sell more systems than PS3 so I doubt youll see the 360 sell more than ps3 again unless they start giving the system for free.

fact is the 360 is old news and so is halo people want a PS3.
