most likely the PS3 can beat the 360 in sales the 360 only has a 6-7 million lead just in september alone PS3 gained around more than a million in that month alone now as for the wii none have a chance the wii will take 1st place that's a given but second is up for grabs.

I would just be happy if PS3 starts selling monthly more than 360 anyways like it's doing now:)

I dont think PS3 has been a failure or game over... It's not a Sega story... Just PS3 targetted the wrong market in the absolute worse economic climate. Its no wonder they sacked Head of Sony Entertainment (No matter how good PS1/PS2 was). 15-25 y/o didnt want to fork over $600-$1000 (Depending on your region) for a gaming system... And at launch Blue Rays were few and $40 a piece. And GFC hit and that put even more pressure on "Fine Goods". Xbox was better value proposition. I am somewhat surprised that people put up with RROD though.

it doesn't even really matter, who cares who wins, be grateful you have a console and games to play on it, a lot of people don't even have that.

lol you do not see the big picture PS3 outselling the 360 = more software sales for ps3 and less for 360 as time goes by and the PS3hardware sales becomes higher so will software sales.

look at now how good uncharted 2 did and how well MW2 did compared to the 360 and it's 7 million lead it just shows a sign of what's to come.

I can't believe 4 high impact system sellers were released for 360 in one month and it didn't manage to move consoles enough to win the PS3

what you're failing to acknowledge though, is that ODST sold 3 million copies (according to vgchartz). Regardless of being Halo, a new system model is going to be a bigger deal to a consumer in terms of "I need to go out and buy that system" than a game will be. However, I think that next year, Halo Reach will probably move some systems.

I'm pretty sure Pro PS3 users here are confidant with the PS3's monthly lead of 30-40k over the Xbox360 is significant.

I suppose, though I would say that's the same situation any sequel would be in. Once a beloved franchise makes an appearance on new hardware, I'd assume that the majority of the fans would make the required system purchase. When a sequel appears on the same hardware, the hardware sales would tend to be muted, not matter how the title was termed.
