wow half life 2 is overated

I don't know enough of Halo to question your judgement reagarding the actual story.

For halo's story to become interesting, i had to use EXTERNAL MATERIAL other than the game (book)

If that doesn't say how lame the 3 games story is, i don't know what will.

Half life Story Saga

All that ^ goes on IN THE GAMES. It's more subtle in places, yes, because the Half-life series uses scripted sequences instead of IN YO FACE cutscenes.

It's a brilliant story.

It isnt really good on Pc either...The ending was ok though. I prefer Halo 3 TBH

I only bought HL2 to play Garrys Mod but the begining of the game was very good

how many people praise this game as the best ever? this game is so boring i almost gave up playing through it. the drivingparts are the worst vehicle sections ive played in any game and people criticise halo 2's ending wth is up the the end of this?

Hours? o_0 I guess you didn't find the atmosphere when you first entered city 17 violent or freedom denying? It really does set a good tone for the rest of the game. Just because a game doesn't instantly give you rocket launchers to shoot down wave after wave of spacecraft means it's a boring beginning? :| Hours must've been an exagerration, because there were many parts in the first few hours I would consider brilliant and fun/enjoyable.

Ive played both versions, it doesnt just stem down to KB/Mouse, this game was designed for the PC in mind PERIOD.

The game is about survival not a 1 man army Master Chief Esique ... although you are percieved as that kind of hero "The Freeman" , the atmoshphere from that perspective was perfect, Music isnt always needed in a game, especially a game of this style.

It took me 2 years to beat this game because I couldn't play it for more than an hour without getting bored.

This game still looks really good andusing interactive NPCs instead of cutsceanes was revolutionary.

I just figured I didn'tcare forFPS when it got so much praise and I didn't like it.

I agree that it's overrated. I bought it in 2004 when it first came out and didn't see anything special about. I guess because I didn't play the first Half-Life or something.

It's just my opinion, so there's no reason to bash. :?

Um, I'm trying not to offend you here, but try playing it again. And again. And yes, AGAIN. This game is 4 years old now, and it's still awesome. It's the best shooter I've played, and this comes from a guy who played this game for the first time in November 2007!

Were you asleep when you were playing??? The story was awesome, and nothing was boring. Everything about it was so memorable, it was ****ing epic!

And get over the driving. What is it, Halo?? You drive in junkers made out of crappy parts. Of course it's gonna be bumpy. And that's how it is in real life. HL2 has physics challenges, awesome AI enemies, awesome weapons, and awesome level designs. It's like you're living in a movie!

Get with the program, already. Suck it up and play some REAL games.
