[QUOTE="CPM_basic"]And I tried to play online for free on the 360 and realized I could not...Wow the PS3 dashboard is stupid and confusing compared to 360.
It took me 10 minutes just to figure out how to download a demo.
Then I tried to cross-game chat and realized I couldn't on PS3.
see what i did there...

how does that relate to the ease of use to a dashboard?
downloaded a demo on 360 had no idea where it went after the download. took a long time to find it.
took about 10min to figure out how to add a friend to my friends list.
theres about 10 menu's that you can scroll up. then about 15 more options that your can scroll too the right
360 has a horrible clunky interface

After you download something you can just hit the xbox button when it tells you it is done and it'll take you right there, something the PS3 doesn't do. And when you download a demo, it will be in your games library. Where else could it possibly be? To add a friend, go to your friends list and its the first option... BTW the PS3 friend list is a mess.

Maybe his free gold trial ran out.I don't think the 360 menus are confusing, just really slow compared to the PS3, PSP, or Wii.paradigm68
It unarguable takes longer to navigate the menus of the Wii in general with the shopping channel and starting games. And I could do pretty much anything on the 360 as fast as a PS3 or at least without a noticeable time difference.
meh the PS3 xmb pisses me off when it takes to long to load or freezes up in the middle of a MP match.
Its froze on me when i went to send a message to a friend as i was playing BFBC2 online, and its ridiculously slow in the middle of a game in madden 11.
I find this pretty hilarious to be honest. The dashboard isn't difficult or complicated at all.
If you find it confusing I wouldn't be surprised if you guys needed lessons in how to breathe.
That can actually say how far some gamers have fallen (in intellectual terms). Both systems have crappy and overly complicated interfaces to the average person actually.

*prays mods won't get mad at me for that*
For me though, everything was pretty straight forward.
A few button pushes and then I got the hang of it (both 360 and PS3).
Though that thing always happens to me when I use an electronic device (eventhough it is my first time to use it).
There have been reviews based off how easily settings can be changed for each console, guess what, ps3 is last each time. mystervj
Huh?

hah that's pretty awesome. LOL to anyone who thinks people picking Emmys know anything about gaming and different dashboards. There was an article a couple months back in Gameinformer which placed the PS3 last (wii first) in how easy it was to get to settings, they were focusing on age restrictions. So.. who knows and uses gaming consoles more? People from game informer, or people picking Emmy awards?[QUOTE="paradigm68"][QUOTE="Heirren"]hah that's pretty awesome. Really? I swear the wii came in first.. but no surprise the 360 won. Oh your right, they listed Wii the first, but then rated the 360 above it, my bad. Still shows the ps3 is last.. as usual.[QUOTE="lundy86_4"]
It certainly isn't the most intuitive for certain aspects. Still, it looks good, and is still relatively easy to navigate.
PS3's has it beat in simplicity though.
I still prefer the old 360 Dashboard I dislike the new one because the old one was easier to find everything. Its really the same thing as the old one, except the fact that if you want to view it the old way you simply hit the guide button in the middle and poof there is the older dashboard in a smaller format.[QUOTE="paradigm68"][QUOTE="Heirren"]hah that's pretty awesome. You said it yourself that was talking about age restrictions, (like how it limits them), That has very little to do with what we are talking about. So go try to get a valid point.Huh?

I said thats what the article was about, I don't care about age restrictions myself at all. It just shows how it's easier to find options on the xbox then it is to find them buried somewhere in the ps3. Seems like a pretty valid point.. then again it goes against you right? so therefor it can't be true? Sorry.. it is. Get a life?[QUOTE="fastr"][QUOTE="paradigm68"] hah that's pretty awesome. paradigm68
