@quadknight said: XboneX holds up pretty well and is excellent value for money I would say but people like Ron have been completely rekt.
Out of the 6 games tested the GTX 1060 won in 4 of them and tied in only 2 with the XboneX.
It's nowhere near a GTX 1070 like the clown claimed. The price to performance ratio is excellent though, especially now that GPU prices have skyrocketed it would be good for anyone looking for midrange PC performance at a decent price. Especially if you don't care about the lack of exclusives, mods or running your games at 60fps. It also proves that you don't need a $1000 PC to wreck the XboneX, more like $600-700.
"? Bu...bu....bu....but Ark dev said it is like a GTX 1070!!!1"
"? B...bu...bu....but Forza wet track!!11!"
Xbox one X hovers between a GTX 1060 to GTX 1070 depending on the optimization and cpu workload. The GPU by itself is as strong as a GTX 1070 and can outperform it depending on the optimization methods.
Anyone claiming a GTX 1060 outperforms the Xbox one X's GPU is shortsighted towards the other specs at play. The Mighty X has a higher bit memory bus and much higher memory bandwith than the RX 580, not to forget it also has custom Vega architecture changes the RX 580 does not posses. Next to that the X has a much higher Vram count than a GTX 1060, allowing for even higher texture maps with further draw distances.
On a handfull of games the X performs even slightly better than a 1070. You can look up the benchmark charts yourself. Fact of the matter is there is so little fidelity difference between pc max settings and X, that with cpu optimized games the X can get away with 1800-2160p solid 60fps gaming. For console gaming, that's revolutionary.
Wolfenstein 2 2008-2160p 60fps -exceeds GTX 1070
Forza 7: 2160p 60fps -exceeds ultra PC
Halo 5 1800-2160p 60fps
Titanfall 2 1400-3400p 60fps (but can drop to 1400p in very intense sequences)
Battlefront 2 1800-2160p 60fps - exceeds GTX 1070
Gears of War 4 - 2160p 30fps - exceeds PC ultra
Shadow of War 1800-2160p 30fps - Exceeds GTX 1070 at same settings
Assassins Creed Origins 1800-2160p 30fps- exceeds GTX 1070 levels after 12-12-2017 patch for its 12gb GDDR5 platform
Hitman 60fps 1440p, 30fps 4k -exceeds GTX 1070 performance (yes at same settings)
ETC and more coming..
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son
