When your only defence is "but TV's get better colour faster" ... against everything else. you know its time to let it go.
above 60 FPS? nah slightly better OLED colour.
Gsync/Free Sync? Nah slightly better OLED colour.
Ultrawide Curved at 2k for immersion that can reach 100-140fps? nah OLED colour.
Most OLED TV's (and TVs in general) have poor response/input lag, unless changed to a mode that reduces the colour considerably.... making the advantage pointless in gaming? Nah OLED Colour is more important.
You can have profiles that make PC games *simulated* HDR to some extent, while being able to tweak it however you fancy.. not a forced setting? Nah Forced over-exagurated Shadows and Light bloom is the best!
"I'm a casual lol" - OLED and Atmos.
Maybe you are in terms of computers/gaming? I don't know. but your setup is designed for cinema, not f*cking gaming.
LMAO tag me next time kid.
You're clueless if your going to lump Contrast, HDR, Color Saturation, and Color Accuracy into one category that you have decided to call "OLED Colour"
Curved Monitors? That shits still going on? Thought it died in 2015?
Immersion? I pull up my gaming chair and sit 4 feet from a 65" 4K monitor, rain falls from the sky, jets engines pan over my head, explosions and bosses shake me, and my surrounds to the core. THAT IS IMMERSION
FreeSync 2 is baked into Xbox One X, we already addressed this, so hows that a win for PC.
Response Time and Input Lag are two different things, pick one. OlEDS have 1ms response times, the 144hz 1080p Asus VG248QE has a 5.5 ms response time, the 1440p AOC Acon AG271QX has a 8.2ms response time. Literally the only thing PC Monitors do better is Input Lag
You think changing to Game Mode brings OLED Image Quality down to LCD levels, no it doesn't, not even close. Game Mode when calibrated hardly looks any different while gaming. And it's still light years ahead of LCD bullshit
Digital Foundry raves about HDR implementation in games like HZD, Witcher 3, and more, but i guess what their technical analysis is only valid when it fits the narrative your after. And Profiles to simulate HDR? LMAO what a joke, because fake HDR is always better than the real thing right? And than you bitch about bloom? Bloom is the exact opposite of HDR, bloom is the FAKE HDR.
You're entitled to your opinion, however wrong it may be. But id never give up my setup for your shitty headphones, and low image quality LCD
