X360 in a drought?

Yes, it has been 14 months since X360 had a AAAE. While MS is cashing out millions to companies to prevent Sony having 3rd party exclusives, they're forgetting one thing -- Having exclusives for themselves. Why buy an Xbox, now? It's nothing but a cheap version of the PS3. Most of it's great games are multi-platform.

As this war unfold, Sony gameplan has become more evident and prominent to success of winning. Many laugh at Sony for losing big-hit exclusives, but Sony knew that it was all about 1st party exclusives. Now, their 1st party line-up rivals, if not, better than Nintendo. Bad idea for Microsoft to go after exclusives that are on the "downhill." Microsoft must establish a strong first party library for the future, or it's Bye, Bye Microsoft! You can't win the war by having the same games as the opposition...

According to who? Aside from SOCOM: Confrontation, I haven't enjoyed any PS3 game this year. Call me a blind lemming, sorry for having my own opinion though.

stagnate? It got Tales of Vespeira, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden, Lost Odyssey, and will get Gears of war 2 and Banjo soon. I don't think that is stagnation.

I think Fable 2 and Ninja Gaiden 2 are good games. The 360 also had Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise and Tales of Vesperia. Then there's also L4D and GeoW 2 to come.

Last time I checked the 360 had 4 AAAE's and now PS3 has 1, PS3 isnt winning, it is just losing by less :).

No the 360 is not in a drought, but it is a little short on exclusives this year, especially if you want to compare its position last year. Certainly, that is a little bit of a concern if you are trying to win system wars, but that doesn't mean that 360 gamers are being deprived of games to play.

Microsoft doesn't care about exclusives as long as it is not on a rival console. I mean they have essentially purposefully release their first party published titles to the PC to garner more profit.

And with that in mind, they could have had more AAAE, but its a superficial measure of quality for a system anyway. What really matters is getting your money's worth, by being the system with the best selection of games for the best price. And the 360 has done that imo.

First ToV isn't a flop, was hyped AA, and gotten AA. But also being a flop in System wars doesn't make the game horrible (edit: according to Gamespot they are Good to Great). R&C for the PS3 was a flop, and it is one of my fave PS3 games.
