X360 in a drought?

and yea, my kinds of games haven't really been coming, so for me, it's in a drought. a "creativity" drought, if you will.

I also had another point that is getting overlooked. You can't win this gen with just multiplats. PS3 and Nintendo is in a position to have a very strong 1st party library; however, 360 doesn't look to go that route. I strongly think there is a correlation between AAAE and sales.

The Console market could be in a drought excluding the Wii and DS. It was only until recently that the Xbox 360 became a profitable venture for Microsoft. In terms of market share the PS3 is a market failure. In the console market the cost of entry is very high, and the entire console market is trumped by one PC Game World of Warcraft. The new CEO of Microsoft is Steve Balmer who is a money guy, who wants to see the stock price go up, will cut divisions like the Xbox division if it's not profitable enough. Because at the end of the day its the profit that matters the most to them. for microsoft, xbox is about them getting into your living room as your source for entertainment. its not just about video games. in 10 years, when we always stream movies from the internet in our living rooms, Microsoft wants to be your provider. i think they still consider this the investment stage. sony's got the same idea.

Why buy an Xbox, now? It's nothing but a cheap version of the PS3. Most of it's great games are multi-platform.

How in the world is the 360 in drought when there are so many good games coming out for it this holida and Just because ps3 got two good games that have score 10 mgs4 and Little big planet 9.0 (which glad it did) and wii is slaughtering ps3 and 360 and the wii will win the console war and 360 is doing pretty good since it's outselling ps3 for two monthskyacat

Seriously, they are releasing so many great games right now it's hard to keep up with the purchases.

problem with system wars is fanboys and there stupidness when it comes to perfection aka anything that is under 9.0 is a terrible game.

360 has plenty of great a, aa, and aaa titles

wii has plenty of great titles...

i think system wars needs to be renamed fanboy wars due to population of fanboys that run wild especially during big game reviews. so what if fable 2 didnt get aaa at gs that doesnt mean anything or that the game sucks

As this war unfold, Sony gameplan has become more evident and prominent to success of winning. Many laugh at Sony for losing big-hit exclusives, but Sony knew that it was all about 1st party exclusives. Now, their 1st party line-up rivals, if not, better than Nintendo. Bad idea for Microsoft to go after exclusives that are on the "downhill." Microsoft must establish a strong first party library for the future, or it's Bye, Bye Microsoft! When making statements such as this, you should consider GS not being the world, and infact take into account gamerankings.

Let clear this up! I'm totally aware what is reality and pseudo-reality. I know in the "real world" there is no such thing as a System War. However, I'm posting in a forum called, System Wars. In case YOU didn't know, their are guidelines we have here in this forum. I'm using these guidelines as the bases of my argument. The fact is, X360 is in a drought of AAAE games. We don't use gameranking. We don't care about your personal opinion. We only go by Gamespot. If you cannot handle that simple guideline, I suggest another forum that actually likes your opinion.

"We" have rules in this forum to play by? Who says? I'm a member of this forum and I say those rules are completely rediculous. No one with an ounce of common sense would base any decisions on that kind of criteria, so why should my discussions be restricted to them.

So, to sum up your point for this thread...

1) If all you care about are games that a Gamespot reviewer gave a 10.0 to, released in 2008, then yes, 360 is not the place for you.

2) If you only care about games a Gamespot reviewer gave a 9.0 or better to in 2008 that are only availabe on a single system (PS3, 360, Wii, or PC Note: Doesn't matter if it's only available for 360 and PC, still doesn't count). Then yes, 360 is not for you.

3) For everyone else, there is 360.

So, to sum up your point for this thread...

LOL yeah. If your not an RPG fan, what has 360 come out with since Halo 3? Pretty much nothing. Gears 2 is the only title that will break that ice.

Ninja gaiden 2, Fable 2, Viva Pinata 2, and if you add tales of vesperia the 360 has released the total amount of AAEs (in less than a year) than what is found on the PS3 even after nearly 2 years.
