Dude you crazy. Bloodborne is going to be huge for Sony. This is the game that every PS4 owner have been waiting for and with 20+ million PS4's out there, it's going to sell like crazy. BigShot, I just meant you guys in the sense of asserting the machine is doing okay. It's not. The momentum from the price drop and holiday bundles ran out around mid-Feburary in the US. Outside of the US, you will probably never hear MS even mention its sales. Hell, the fact it had to go all fire-sale for it's first legitimate holiday season speaks volumes to how weak the thing is in terms of the console market.

Unless a miracle happens at E3, price slashing for the holidays will not keep this thing going. It's starting to turn and the expiration date is showing.

It didn't have anything worth playing at the time but then again neither did the PS4. If I knew about all the delayed games on the PS4, I wouldn't have got that one either.

Anyway, unlike you lame ass cows, I don't put limits on the game systems I play. If it has games I want, then I'll buy it. I have ZERO brand loyalty, especially to these greedy money grubbing companies.

However, I do think people are making way too big a deal about this 10M consoles sold mark and publishers probably see the same thing I do which is how MS got there. Not to mention, we're 1/3 of the way through this calendar year and no one even dares put a time line on when they expect the XBone to break 15M or 20M.

I stand by my assertion here. If MS doesn't win this year's E3, it's on a downward slope and there's no getting off it. All the boisterous talk about how much money MS has and super duper secret Skunkworks weapons projects that are too Microsoft to Microsoft a Microsoft is going to be blown to bits and the confidence people have in the brand will vanish.

In all seriousness, I'm sure both parties should have solid E3's. But we pretty much know Microsoft needs to show Halo and Gears at this E3. If they throw in Forza 6 that doesn't leave much room left for anything actually surprising. Great if you just want to play the same games again, but if we are looking for new experiences I'd rather hope for NEW announcements. Something that cannot be predicted.

Oh okay, I know a lot of Sony Fanboys take any critism against their precious machine that they bought and not made personally and want to automatically label that person as a Xbox fanboy. I have all the consoles, I play all the games so I don't give a damn if any one of these consoles go under, as long as the other 2 are around giving me my games then I'm good. But the whole Xbox is in a bad position is just ridiculous to me. They have about 12 million consoles sold in 2 years, they have a pretty good library of games and their console is still selling and probably will sell more as time goes on so how are they in a bad position? You always hear they have no game, they have all the multiplatform games that's out on the PS4 and exclusives out now and coming in the future but all that is ignored cause of fanboy blinders. It's all just funny to me.

It did. It sold over 15 million in it's first year. After 17 months, the Xbox One hasn't even reached that.

Well, it's true. I was one of those true believers myself once upon a time. That the word 'Microsoft' was synonymous with endless wealth and strength. The first XBox was a beast of a machine and even though it couldn't possibly compete with the PS2 that had already run away with Gen6, the XBox was there and it was really doing things. When the 360 came out, it was like that red-shirt freshman college player everyone was talking about having a really good look that was ready for the big games... and it did, for a while anyways.

And even now, after a terribad debut and a market presence more turbulent than a Cessna flying over a volcano, we're still here talking about how good it is doing because Microsoft essentially moneyhatted life into their own fucked up product by cutting the entry fee to the damn thing by $150 before we could even bake it's first birthday cake. Real ass talk.

But what people want are games. Not just HaloForzaGears, but games. Lots of them, for lots of different gamers. After all the repackaging and rebranding and re-evangelizing and reinventing and rescoping of what this machine is, all of it will amount to nothing if there's no meat on the Bone. People want to see those billions of Microsoft muneez do something. Microsoft has been rather boastful about their ability to leverage money. Their fans sure as hell have been boastful about it. Now, the XBox is backed into a corner and people smell blood. It wouldn't be the 50th item on Amazon in the US if people weren't starting to feel a little unsure about it.

I dare MS to walk into E3 this year and show a gratified montage with cross-plats and less than a hand full of exclusive AAA titles with no release dates. Oh, how the Lems on this forum love to hand them a victory for "Just talking about games" while ignoring all the promises and hypetrains because there's nothing to show for it. It's a tactic worthy of a used car salesman. And it fools exactly no one with an IQ higher than a potato.

It's selling fine. And one amazing game does not make a library. The WiiU has a lot of great games. A lot of the good or great ps4 and xb1 games are multiplats and not exclusives.

I get heaped in as an Ultra Cow on this forum because I am the bearer of bad news for the XBox. I freely admit that the design philosophy behind the machine, the branding, the cheap rebranding and double-speak about issues like Cloud and DX12 make me pretty much a die-hard Lemming's worst nightmare and I have earned some of that hate. However, I was a gamer long long before there was a Playstation and if they shut their doors, I will be a gamer long after. I think my criticisms of the platform are justified, but not because of any brand loyalty. Of course, antagonizing XBox fanboys has become a rather fun hobby at this point.

Playstation fans on this forum make me feel embarrassed to go out and actually buy a PS4.

Im really enjoying Bloodborne, but it is in no way a killer app. The souls games are very niche and don't sell like a halo/uncharted type game. I don't think Bloodborne is going to sell a ton of additional PS4s this spring, but Id like to be wrong. It is a great game.

It will be interesting to see what happens this fall when Microsoft has multiple big exclusives/timed exclusives lined up against PS4 with not much on the exclusive end. Then again E3 could change all that. Will be fun to find out!

I'm not buying it. Numerically speaking, you are flat out wrong and the PS4 has more exclusives. However, I know you mean specifically Gen 8 exclusive AAA budget titles. The thing is, the 360 had absolutely abysmal years before the Xbone launched. So, what little internal development muscle MS had went into launching the new product rather than supporting the current market a year or two beforehand.

I got news for you. Gen 8 is underway and Sony dropped games like TLoU and Gran Turismo 6 as well as Ni No Kuni and all kinds of other titles right on the door step of the PS4. Do you think they're just going to roll over while they have the market lead? The money is in the software. The money has always been in the software. The money will always be in the software. I can absolutely guarantee, without any kind of doubt, that bombshell AAA announcements are coming. It's inevitable.

Yeah if they share the whole library it will most definitely have an impact on the Xbone, that said, console gamers will still go to the bone for those shared games, so no reason to own the system would still be going a bit too far.
