True I love my DS and the games it offers, but that "reminiscence" is on more than one level (as I mentioned before). This isn't really a fair comparison between systems.

Maybe because Guitar Hero DS isn't as good as the other Guitar Hero games? But in terms of JRPGs, the DS has more and better ones than consoles right now.

well it seems like it. vesperia is the only one that did good in japan on the 360 3 years after the 360 launched. why launch a game when the install base is 600k and it not growing any faster now that jrpgs are coming. the ps3 and wii install base is up in the millions. there no denying it if it had been on a different system in japan it would of sold more.

I simply said that they don't officialy count as "AAA" as console games do. It was more a matter of protocol than one of quality.

as someone else said in this thread bragging about ms having rpgs is like bragging about having an std. seriously... hopefully lems will stop saying the 360 is the rpg king. because its not at least wait until the reviews come out. its better to have no game then waste $60 on a game that scores a 6.5

Really? I see plenty of people rating DS games against Xbox 360 games. Listing the AAA games on the DS compared to that on Xbox 360 when they aren't even graded on the same scale because of the huge difference of platform. So do not even try to back up and change what you were saying. I wasn't directing it just at you, I was directing it at the majority of people stating it.

No, I'm asking it here. Because this thread is made to answer lemmings who claim "the 360 is the RPG king." In my experience (and there have been too many threads on this topic recently), lemmings who claim this are talking about consoles. Not the PS2. Not the SNES, not any previous gens. And certainly not handhelds. So I'm asking it here, breaking the context of this thread because the thread itself is breaking the context of the very question it's based on.

So again, assuming we're talking current gen consoles... which is RPG king?

i think your taking this to serious. why would i pay full price for a crap game. i rather not play it at all then force myself to play it and look like a fool for buying it. what i mean in my first post is the ps3 did not get iu but since the game flopped i glad it didn't. i can go without and know im not missing out on anything. prior to the review i did want to play iu. it seemed interesting.

But why are you making that assumption? You know what they say when you assume something, right? The title of the forum is Systems War. If you want to talk consoles, make it specific in the OP. When the OP claims that one system is the JRPG king, you have to compare all the systems. That's why the DS is the JRPG King over the 360.

It's when people start to realize that their favorite system is losing that they must go ahead and make these little justifications like "console JRPG King" to justify them owning it. Yeah, if it was so great, then why do you have to hide by bringing these little parameters to strengthen your argument?

Bottom line: DS JRPG lineup > 360 JRPG lineup

Actually, it does in comparison. Not every historical king was Louis XIV, after all. Even a poor king is still king in comparison to the peasants. the only game i would seem intereted in on the 360 side would be lo. tov may come to the ps3. operation darkness got a 2.5 on ign. Spectral Force 3 got a 4.5 iu we all know that score ff11 is on the ps2 so i can play that. two worlds and me i can play on a pc. the rest are crap. what was the point of this. you proved that rpgs suck on 360. so i guess i choose the ps3.

Yep PS3 has some nice future rpg's too....360 too but not as much.

Why? Because Star ocean will eventually come to ps3 as most of the (for now) exclusive 360 jrpg's are coming to ps3. What's left for 360?...Fable 2, but that game is better to be played on a PC (like most games).

So again no 360 is not jrpg king now and will not be jrpg king in the future.
