This has never been an announcement scheduled for the next xbox. People assumed the count down to E3 is going to be one, but MS hasn't said anything. MS sure doesn't want to give up any news early, because we all know Sony will copy, just like they did with the PS3.

Lol. Probably a last-minute RAM upgrade for the console. Since it was rumored the 720 would have 4GB then boom Sony reveals the PS4 to have twice that. M$ might as well just wait for E3 at this point, maybe their E3 will be something other than showing how not-about-gaming their system is.

Microsoft management nor their investors are interested in taking massivve losses so that is irrelevant. It would be a foolish move to put all their money into consoles when they are trying to compete with superior companies like Google and Apple in other areas.

I think it's pretty obvious by now MS has been completely overwhelmed by Sony and it's awesome PS4 specs.    They're probably making changes as we speak to make the next XBOX a better specced console than the PS4.  Of course it doesn't mean jack without any games to show.   But perhaps Sony should of waited until MS showed their console first then unleashed the PS4 specs.   Then again, the preorders are through the roof for the PS4..  So maybe now was a good time to announce it.

Its impossible to re-spec a console at the drop of a hat. If they actually are then be prepared for a mid to late 2014 launch.

Sony has said their specs are subject to change. They left a bit of wiggle room to respond to Microsoft...

Sony forcing M$ to adjust the next-Xbox specs and features after seeing how incredible the PS4 is.  :cool:

and is not just the 2nd place but the fact that the Xbox brand is in a miserable state right now. M$ already abandoned the 360 (just like they did last gen) and all lems have is to cling and hope for next gen to arrive already. But this is what happen when you bet on the wrong horse.
