Xbox 720 Announcement Delayed From April To May

It's hilarious watching so many people on this site talk like this means a complete or even partial re-spec of the machine. People obviously have zero clue as to how development of such things happens or and the business aspects behind it.  I'm no expert but I'm not dumb enough to think OMFG sony scared Microsoft now they are making their machine better and stronger. Ya because years of research and development go out the window just like that... People are idiots. This site seems to have a lot of them too.

Minor really minor. They all ready have their silicon designed and manufacturing is almost set in stone if not all ready if it's set for a 2013 release. If it's not set for a holiday release then yet re-specing the console is completely viable. A company as large as Microsoft wont throw the last 7 years of R&D out the window just like that and people thinking they will are delusional. Millions and millions of dollors would go out the window and a large portion of Microsofts investors don't want Microsoft in the gaming console industry. So them throwing all that away wont happen as the investors wont let it happen. Software might change as well as their direction with the machine but on a manifacturing standpoint they are most likely set in stone for the most part.

I'm not making outlandish claims on this site. I speak more sense then most people I've seen posting. Based off of what we've heard and seen with the direction they've taken with the 360 do you really think they are going to change their architecture drastically to better suite the hardcore gaming crowed? I doubt it. They have been going the way of family/casual the last few years with the odd IP to make their current fanbase at least slightly happy.  I at least sound grounded in what I say More then half the people on this site come off as fanboys or people who spew random information with zero thought behind it.

Again as easy as it is to bash MS, they know what they are doing when it comes to things they are good at. The Xbox brand is something they are good at.

Easiest way out, add a gimick and sell it as if its the newest thing since sliced bread. Then the common gamer will overlook whatever the hardware specs lack until its too late. I mean, unless the leaked specs from last year were fake to get Sony to jump the gun while MS actually worked on an already superior console... but that sounds a little far fetched.

That's okay, Sony still has some wiggle room with their specs as well.  As long as we haven't seen what the console looks like, that means no one can interpolate what kind of colling solution it will use.

Anyone remember the heat sink on the original fatty PS3?  That thing was almost as much a space heater as the original XBox.  We know Sony can go big when they have to.

That is exactly why Sony did not confirm the exact specs of the GPU or CPU...for all we know they may intend to increase the specs of both from what we were told. Sony announced first, but didn't give every thing away.Certainly put some heat on M$ though!

I doubt they are changing anything, Sonys hype conference died so fast, satan got converted to a jew, the only reason why they are doing it later is to be earlye noguh to get people interested, buit have enough hype lstill left into E3.

Sony is the only company that stated they will start focusing their products on women, and Usher is on sony's record lable.

and people are saying wiiu is a joke wait and see if ms launches a console twice the power as ps4 then what will you say then remember we have no  confirmation on those rumored specs,   and this is what happens when sony launches first lol ,    you can bet every sony fanboy will say its ok its still next gen ,

in any case--- it could be good ms is pushing it back or it could hurt them
