[QUOTE="Bluray001"] No, you pay for Peer to peer matchmaking. All the other XBL content is free.Malta_1980

Which is superior and worth it. You can spin as much as you want....

This is the kind of attitude MS wants from us 360 owners, PAYING EXTRA for a service being offered for free on other systems and defend that by saying it is superior..

I personally pay for XBL, i have no 'problem' with that but I am not getting anything more/superior from what is offered by PC & PS3 for free..

Definately true. MS teaches to accept faulty hardware and pay for online; Then defend it at all costs. It seems that cows have a much higher standard. What are cows constantly defending? The price? Yes, it's a much higher quality unit...So it costs more...Any questions?

Uh, if it is multiplat, why would you need another system to play the same game? That's the problem with the 360. All they have are multiplats. Even their "exclusives" are multiplats. Think of it this way. Microsoft is the only company where their signature characters are multiplat. Nintendo = Mario, Link, Zelda, Luigi = Exclusive Sony = Kratos, Sackboy, Nathan Drake, Elena Fisher, = Exclusive Microsoft = Master Chief, Marcus Fenix = Multiplat?!?

It still behind XB live free or not,P.S there is lag,the no lag thingy is just a myth.

No lag thingy as you say may be a myth, i can agree, so why pay extra for a non Lag Free service ??

Nothing is lag-free.

I pay because I use the party system and cross-game chat.. I use the cross-game invites on a regular basis. I use the feedback system and participate in their community calendar events. And I will use last.fm (which is Gold-only btw).

That's good enough for me.

What? Elder Scrolls Oblivion runs better on the 360? In all seriousness, recently it's been a coin flip and even then the difference is negliable. Generally if lead development has been on PS3 then ported to X360, PS3 version will be better. Vice versa is true.

Look, no-one is saying 1080p streaming is as good as Blu-ray. But there seems to be this prevailing attitude (especially among PlayStation adherents) that if it's not Blu-ray, it must stink. That's simply not true. 1080p streaming will provide a great movie-watching experience. Heck, 720p downloads on Xbox Live already provide really good quality.

The prevailing attitude is that MS fans are jumping on every longshot new tech that's not Blu ray. As I said before streaming movies and such have a VERY limited selection. Your not gonna have every new, current movie available to you to stream. I can watch pretty much any new and many old released movies on Blu ray and not worry about my internet connection. Just like you said if everyone could upgrade their equipment, well ALOT of people have to upgrade their internet speed to enjoy a none buffering 1080p movie. When the best solution is a Blu ray player and Blu rays either netflixed or purchased. Bragging to people who can watch a WIDE selection of top quality HD movies about a streaming service is not gonna get the jealous reaction you want.

History is not with you, I'm afraid. Sony has tried this before with audio; they put out the SACD format with super-high-quality lossless audio that you needed to buy a new player and new discs for. And then iTunes came along and everyone switched to downloading relatively low-quality MP3s. Why? Convenience.

The same thing is happening with Blu-ray.

Two completely different markets. Music downloads are a matter of MB while HD movies are a matter of GB. Not to mention having tons of music on the go is the natural market for music since listening to songs while you workout, work, walk around etc.. is a matter of minutes. Streaming will only hurt the renting market. I mean the truth is this is nothing new, On Demand and pay per view have been around for YEARS and DVD sales still boomed. As Blu ray prices go down and blu ray prices go down people are gonna wanna use their new HDTV for HD. And with Comcast and Satallite fighting over peoples money with promises of more HD channels everyone will want to watch their new movies in HD as well. Thats where Blu ray will come in. Besides itunes havent stop CD production.

No, funny how cows make things up like this everytime XBL continues to excel over the free mess known as PSN. At least you still have that joke known as HOME...

AlphaGamer469

Uh, you do realize that the only thing you actually pay for on XBL is peer to peer matchmaking.... all that over stuff is free.

No we pay for the superior console online gaming experience. I know because I've gamed on both. Anyone who says PSN is just as good or better is just deluding themselves...

Then don't play Gears 2:lol:

If lead development was on ps3, you actually end up with no difference, i have yet to see a game that actually looks or runs better then on its 360 version, because porting to the 360 with game code made on ps3 is actually quite easy.

???? Dude, I don't own a 360 and won't be buying one. I don't believe in faulty hardware, paying twice for online, and overpriced hdd's. That's how I feel about MS. If any of that changes with their next gen, I might would consider buying from them. As it stands....no.

Ohhh party chat I forgot about that feature which killed online gaming. So if you happen to be playing COD by yourself you can have complete and utter silence since everyone else is in a group, yeah great feature. The game invites are fine in COD:WAW since it pretty much has it's own lobby system like KZ2 or SOCOM, all the EA games. I honestly don't really play any other online games outside of those so I guess I have not noticed what you are talking about I apologise.

I got to agree. The last thing I would describe Digital Distribution of movies as being is "convienent". There's the issue of wanting to buy movies and storage. For renting, there the issue of how movies "self destruct after a certain amount of time. For streaming movies, there's the issue of buffering times and downloading. Lastly and most important, there the issue of download time. Downloading music takes seconds. Downloading movies takes hours. Why would someone spend hours downloading a movie instead of taking 10 minutes to drive to the local video store and renting a movie? Also, we havent even gone into internet bandwidth caps yet.

[QUOTE="Bluray001"][QUOTE="delta3074"]because multiplats run better on a 360savagetwinkie
What? Elder Scrolls Oblivion runs better on the 360? In all seriousness, recently it's been a coin flip and even then the difference is negliable. Generally if lead development has been on PS3 then ported to X360, PS3 version will be better. Vice versa is true.

If lead development was on ps3, you actually end up with no difference, i have yet to see a game that actually looks or runs better then on its 360 version, because porting to the 360 with game code made on ps3 is actually quite easy.

Elder scrolls PS3 version is significantly better than the X360 version. Less pop ups, higher resolution, higher framerate, more consistant framerate...

[QUOTE="Javy03"][QUOTE="UnnDunn"]

[QUOTE="Javy03"] The prevailing attitude is that MS fans are jumping on every longshot new tech that's not Blu ray.

Besides itunes havent stop CD production.

people would rather download movies to there PC than buy blu-rays cos it's cheaper, here in blighty hardly anyone buys blu-rays, it's cheaper to buy DVD's and upscale, like it or lump it, the entertainment industry is leaning towards digital distribution and MS are following a trend that SONY cannot stand against, also having SKY sports on the 360 will sell more 360's, everyone loves football in this country.

no party chat while playing games, and game invites blow on psn

Ohhh party chat I forgot about that feature which killed online gaming. So if you happen to be playing COD by yourself you can have complete and utter silence since everyone else is in a group, yeah great feature. The game invites are fine in COD:WAW since it pretty much has it's own lobby system like KZ2 or SOCOM, all the EA games. I honestly don't really play any other online games outside of those so I guess I have not noticed what you are talking about I apologise.

Its not like any one talks on ps3 games lol, and who said I'm playing cod waw, its mainly useful in single player games, or organising a group for a game, granted its not that difficult lol. Me and my friends drop out of party chat when we group for a MP game, otherwise staying in party chat is sometimes more usefull. I remember one time trying to get into a group, psn kept **** up trying to join each others game, not having party chat made it even worse while trying to do this.

I never buy movies to Download for my PC I would much rather have a hard copy Blu-Ray as would many others.

I thought the addition of Facebook and Twitter were great. But what I liked more was instant 1080p HD movies (I had a really bad experience with PSN's network here), and the ability to download full games off the Marketplace. Also the Avatar Marketplace sounds pretty cool so long as they continue offering free stuff as well. I just don't like that they're ending Xbox Originals after one more release. And before you guys latch on to this and claim MS is ending BC on their console, Xbox Originals was just one of many avenues to play Xbox 1 games. You can still purchase the disc somewhere (probably for a lot cheaper, too) and it will work beautifully on the 360.

Seems to me all of Sony's efforts with regard to PSN are going into adding more stuff for you to buy in PlayStation Home. On the Xbox Live side, we're seeing programmed content in the form of Xbox Live Primetime finally launching, 1080p movie and TV streaming, social networking withlast.fm, Twitter and Facebook, live TV with Sky Player in the UK (and rumors of Hulu in the US), Video Party (MST3k-style) and Games On Demand, cutting out the hated GameStop.

UnnDunn

In Europe Play Tv has been out for almost a full year with tv.

The DSi, PSP ,PS3 and Wii are already able to access last.fm, Facebook and twitter using the web browser they just don't kick up a fuss about a small feature.

It's been possible for people to stream Tv in the Uk on there Ps3's for some time of BBC I-Player and the channel 3 and 4 equivalents up to a month after it first aired.

Also on June 11th VidZone is being released in the Euan online music video service, operated by London-based company VidZone Digital Media. The online service allows for free streaming of music videos from the VidZone.tv website, in addition to music distribution through a number of mobile networks worldwide. The VidZone catalogue encompasses over 1.5 million tracks, 25,000 music videos and 15,000 realtones, including full access to catalogues from Sony BMG and EMI. With major concerts dating back to 50's with famous concerts such as Live8 and Queen in Wembly etc.

I just proved your argument wrong, I now await a cookie from the next kind person to read my post. Death to fanboys :)
