Xbox One S Sales Underwhelming so far? UPDATE: It appears not

Friend of mine just ordered the 2tb version. Looking at Amazon it doesn't appear to me that version comes with any free games though, not even one. That's kinda lame.

I think at the end of the month they're going to get a big bump from the other two units, not just because they're cheaper and offer options on storage, but because they're launching bundles like the Halo MCC + Halo 5 bundle is going for a $299, the Madden bundle comes for $349, that's basically the cost of the base units with the games for free. Anyhow, surprised the Gears of War 4 bundle is $449, seems they're including the price of the game into the bundle there. But not with Madden?

Anyhow, I imagine the Halo and Madden bundled XB1S will shift quite a few units too. Not so sure about the Gears 4 bundle, the price doesn't look that attractive to me this far into the generation, especially next to the other deals, plus I don't like LE artwork like this, nor the LE controller, plus I have big doubts about Gears 4's SP game. Maybe they'll nail the MP game, but so far very unconvinced by the SP footage. If that game flops, they're gonna have a lot of pricey LE bundles leftover.

They do it while they ring you up. So they literally blast you with questions. Especially if paying by card. Waiting for the transaction to finish is a green light.

Interesting way to gauge demand is see how much the third party sellers are scalping them for, and on Amazon UK they're going between £500 and £650.

Selling out at stores means nothing if you don't know the allocations.

According to GAF, July's NPD coverage ends on July 30th, not August 2nd or 3rd like I thought. That means the PS4 will likely outsell the Xbox One in July, but not in August.
