this is so stupid the both take out crap they don't need because it only benefits the pc.

so now less features that is not needed = more power?

you guys are so bad at trolling.

funny how not one series x game comes close to demon souls or ratchet and clank or miles but yet everyone praises teraflops and stupid rdna 2 instead. haha we have rdna 2 and more teraflops instead of saying haha we have new games to play.

xbox players love to play specs instead of actual games and knock on ps5 exclusives. instead there using gear 5 update as a series x launch title or old forza game and xbox added them to the launch list. that's like sony adding god of war update as a launch title.

so were are these rdna 2 full features in the series x games?

yet digital foundry most impressed next gen games are from sony console but yet you xbox guys will ignore that and say omg look how good ark looks on the series x. look how good last gen game looks on the series x.

who needs new games when we can play last gen games at 4k/60.

Whats more likely a company leaves out features due to cost cutting or timing

or

a company leaves in features that are not going to be used at all

As you put it don't be stupid.

Enjoy your 2 launch games, its down hill from there.

Those games would look and run better on Xbox Series X. Shame they will never reach there full potential on console.

hmmm Interesting

With the upcoming launch of the Xbox Series X|S on November 10, together we are ushering in the next generation of gaming delivering a level of power, performance and compatibility never before seen in console gaming, powered by AMD’s latest “Zen 2” and RDNA 2 architectures. Xbox Series X|S are the only next-generation consoles with full hardware support for all the RDNA 2 capabilities AMD showcased today.

I was reading this on resetera just now, people need to cool their jets, this could be talking about MS implementation across the board, it is known now that 6800 line like 3000 line will have direct storage just like the xbox series S and X so across the board all the features are supported by MS on all hardwares.

Can be that or maybe sony chose its own implementation, lets not forget that MS also acted like Tile resources was something unique of the xbox one when it wasn't it was just call different on PS4.

Not only is it fake RDNA 2, it also can't maintain clocks hahaha

Yet they had the gall to charge $ 499 lol.

Infinity cache might help Xbox run at a higher FPS. But not sure if it helps in their own DXR Ray tracing. Just gotta wait and see.

Hey tormy, remember that 33% from a few days ago? Well, guess what? It has now increased to 40%. The massive gap has widened even further.

These are the kind of things Sony was hiding for this whole time. You know what else they're not confirming or denying? That 9.2tflops everyone likes and enjoys. So if it is confirmed that the PS5 isn't even full RDNA2, then there's even more chances of it being just a 9.2tflops machine that is able to overclock a little bit.

Dude, its not hard to understand. AMD had old stock of prototype RDNA1.25. They sold it to Sony, and Sony thought they got a good deal 🤨

AMD trolled Sony, literally.

A few months ago, i was told that the PS5 has RDNA3 features, turns out they can't even get to RDNA1.5, they're just hardstuck on RDNA1.25 for the next five plus years.

Now what about those Dirt5 devs saying that its all the same working for both systems 🤣

Great now share the link with us where AMD confirm they sold sony a batch of RDNA 1.25 GPU.

Because well i can claim sony got RDNA3 features as well, doesn't mean it is true its just to show you how this board hold what ever shit you type on it.

Please share your link.🤣

First it was a rumor and now its officially confirmed. If the Series X|S are full RDNA 2, then the PS5 is not and is closer to the leaks of it being RDNA 1.5.

Could this mean that the 9.2TFLOPS is also true. 😎

I think i struck a nerve 🙃

You're one of those that will always find a way to make it so a Sony system doesn't look bad. B b but its custom tech, guys, listen to Cerny he knows better, guys. Accept it as is already. Its sub RDNA2. Tflops weaker than the XSX, hundreds of gb less storage space, weaker cpu and slower boot. The system just can't catch a break.

You know who doesn't have RDNA 2? Or even 1? Or even 0.1? Nvidia.

They seem to be doing just fine. Besides, from what I've been led to believe here, the SSD will make up for all RDNA 2 missing features anyways.

According to tormentos since we don't know what it's missing it will be RDNA 1.99 which is just 0.01 less than 2 so in practicality it's RDNA 2.0.

That's because full RDNA2 includes memory management and has other parts of the spec where PS5 breaks from that and uses a custom solution. It could never be considered RDNA2 complete if it doesn't implement the RDNA2 as-is. This is MS saying "it's toasted", using this idea to set them apart when in reality they are just using a stock part and didn't have their own optimizations.

Proof?

@vfighter: VRS allows for more efficient rendering by using less accuracy in shaders in areas that are in the dark or has low contrast. This improves framerates.

Mesh shaders are a newer method of rendering mesh transforms and allow for better occlusion and tessellation. This improves framerates and model complexity. It maybe also be present on the PS5, don't hold me to that.

Sampler feedback, allows for more efficient use of memory by analyzing the frame and only using or loading the best mip map based on pixel coverage. This improves memory allocation and usage.

I can easily answer your question with a question. Why is the PS5 not even RDNA2? Was Sony lazy? Did they underestimate Microsoft? Last week, the ps5 was in a 33% disadventage. Now its at 40%, a number you dislike, i understand. But its not my fault its going south for Sony. Its not your fault either.

You obviously have never owned a gaming PC before. When you upgrade to a new GPU, one of the awesome things is you get see your old games running maxed out in high fps and that is awesome. That inspires you to want to replay your favorite games looking and running how you've never seen them but always dreamed of running them.

No one upgrades their new GPU and then says I will only play brand new games that take advantage of all the features of my new graphics card or else I will play nothing. That's ridiculous.

Of course you understand the concept because if you're a Sony fanboy then you know that you are running all giddy when Sony decides to remake one of the older first party games. Imagine getting all of them remade for free. I hope you understand why running BC with huge upgrades is awesome. I hope you are just playing dumb here.

So you did exactly what ronvalencia would have done and what Pedro did run.

Your question doesn't answer mine.

Oh good you arrived at 40% maybe you hit 50% by early next year.😂

Does the PS5 support Direct X ray tracing yes or no? Is such a simple question.😂

this is so stupid the both take out crap they don't need because it only benefits the pc.

so now less features that is not needed = more power?

you guys are so bad at trolling.

funny how not one series x game comes close to demon souls or ratchet and clank or miles but yet everyone praises teraflops and stupid rdna 2 instead. haha we have rdna 2 and more teraflops instead of saying haha we have new games to play.

xbox players love to play specs instead of actual games and knock on ps5 exclusives. instead there using gear 5 update as a series x launch title or old forza game and xbox added them to the launch list. that's like sony adding god of war update as a launch title.

so were are these rdna 2 full features in the series x games?

not saying its not awesome to see older games at higher settings. im going to play ghost and all the other great ps4 games on the ps5. I even saved ghost just to play on the ps5.

but to use old updated games to make there launch line up look better to compete with sony launch line up just makes xbox look desperate.

number 1 reason to update to play new next gen games on it.

then number 2 is to play old games in higher settings.

not playing dumb hear. xbox fans either scream teraflops or old bc games. then they sit there and downplay sony launch titles. demon souls looks better than any series x launch title yet they say the graphics suck. makes no sense what so ever. they even said ratchet and clank looks last gen.

its sad really.

You know who doesn't have RDNA 2? Or even 1? Or even 0.1? Nvidia.

They seem to be doing just fine. Besides, from what I've been led to believe here, the SSD will make up for all RDNA 2 missing features anyways.

1. You can compare apples to apples. Both PS5 and XSX/S are using AMD hardware so you can compare them directly. That's why it is very relevant that Xbox has full RDNA2 support and PS5 doesn't. You bringing up Nvidia hardware which has nothing to do with anything here is not only ridiculous but dumb.

2. This is just amazingly absurd, wow. A faster SSD can make up for lacking GPU hardware features? Following that logic, if a console had a super duper duper fast SSD, you could eliminate the GPU altogether. LMFAO!!!
