Xbox was the best console last gen. right ?

I mean it had all the console graphics king crowns so it must have been the best system to own don't ya think ?

In terms of tech and hardware, yes. In terms of quality and quantity of games (and hardware sales) hell no...(PS2).

It had the best tech, but was far behind in the games department. I did play my XBox a lot last gen though as I got the GTAs on it instead of the ps2.

Ps2 had Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, And Ico and Shadow of the Colossus....and great 3rd party support.... i say it was the best last gen....

How is it the most consistent? They went from no AAA titles for almost two years, lossing money on each PS3 sold for 3 years to a lot of AAA titles and making profit.....hardly consistent...

Ummm....thats not consistent. Two years of mediocrity to 3 years of good-greatness is not even close friend. If any console is consistent its the Wii...(teh sales)

Power wise yes but it was far from being the overall best last gen IMO.

Sorry but Xbox graphics were better than GameCube's graphics See every multiplat, NinjaGaiden Black, Doom3, Riddick, Halo2, Conker's BFD and SplinterCell Chaos Theory.

Also, did the prerendered backgrounds in Resident Evil fool you into thinking it was impressive??

1. it lasted 4 years!!! then was discontinued
2. There were not as many games on it and had les Genures represented

If not for ^^ it could have been the best console. I liked it.

PS2 was so much better in terms of games, although during this time I think I was too busy playing Warcraft 3 then World of Warcraft

Well if you ignore the PS2 and the Gamecube then yeah, the Xbox was the best.

But really, nothing could stand up to the PS2's library of exclusive games: Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Dark Cloud, Dark Cloud 2, Jak and Daxter, Jak 2, Jak 3, Jak X, Sly Cooper, Sly 2, Sly 3, Bully, Tales of Legendia, Tales of the Abyss, God of War, God of War 2, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. The PS2 is still the best console of all time.

I believe the last generation of consoles went something like: PS2>>>>Gamecube>>>>>>>>>>>Xbox

The Xbox really didn't have too many good exclusive games. Microsoft was able to compete with Sony and Nintendo in the console wars thanks to Halo.
