You do realize the general public buys game in mass quanity particularly in the video games that are enjoyable. Granted, Call of duty is a rehash people still find that formula enjoyable. Same goes for Halo, and Gears. Resistance doesn't sell because it just isn't that fun to play and doesn't appeal to a mass amount of people.

Generally, I liked it. But the MP has pissed me off lately.

The campaign lacked co-op, which I'm a large fan off.

I do enjoy it, my opinion is kind of bias on it though; as I've never liked Resistance much.

Gears as a series crushes Resistance. But people... DO NOT sleep on Resistance 3. Its soooo good! The single player is very unique thanks to the great level design and weapons. I'm enjoying it more than Gears 3 campaign. I just laugh at the Gears 3 campaign. It's so fun and funny, like watching an awesomely bad Arnie, Steven Seagal, and Van Damme action movie wrapped in one.

Gears 3 is shooter of the year though :).

To be honest my favorite shooter so far this year has been KZ3. THe mp was just addicting and almost put 40hrs alone on it. If it had a good sp story then it would have been even better. The only other shooters that i need to play to make my choice for my defente shooter of the year is resistance3,battlefiled 3 and uncharted 3. Even if I had a 360 still I wouldint buy gears 3. I bought 1 the sp was meh and the mp was fun though. I bought part 2 both sp and mp was bleh. I have no intrest in gears 3.

After playing R3, I whole heartedly agree that the singleplayer is way better than gears...MP, not so much.

I haven't played any Gears, but Resistance 3's single player is extremely well done. I'd call it the best single player FPS this gen (from the ones I've played). If you count multiplayer though, Resistance 3's multiplayer is just terrible. I would rather a clone of R2 than COD. The only thing I have played from gears was Horde in Gears 2 I believe. That alone destroyed R3. As a single player guy though, I'd give the win to R3.

I've played it three times. Once on normal, hardcore then insane.

Then I moved onto multi-player then horde and then beast. Then cycled arond again, the game gives new heights to replayablity.

Well good for him. I haven't played Resistance 3 so I can't comment on it directly but if it's anything like the last two, I completely disagree with him there. The Gears of War series has been more entertaining and just...better all around since the start and Gears 3 is no exception.

Resistance 3 is easily my fav Resistance from what I've played. The SP has really learnt from Half Life and Metro more than COD. Which is great. It's much more subtle

The attention to detail in the enviroments is spectacular, the period feel is really there.

It also ACTUALLY feels like a man on a mission game, somethign many games fail to achieve

Even if he is meant to be funny, he does it sometimes stupidly. He says something about a drinking game every time Marcus says "lets go" or something. That line is just commonly said on the battlefield, it's like having a drinking game every time a weapon is fired.

Gears also having no colour? That's ridiculous, it has more colour than Resistance 3, and more colour than most games.

I watch him more for the sake of chuckles than actual review. Though his emphasis on what's bad about a game is enlightening at times.

Yahtzee is a noob with very paticular tastes. Regardless of whether or not he likes a game he is still gonna wreck it, in fact the more popular it is, the more likely he is going to wreck it because it will draw more attention to his reviews.
