In 3 months when Activision remembers to release a PC version. But hey it'll probably have some visuals fixes and added content like AC1 so its all (almost) good.

speaking of sci fi i was roaming around best buy an was going to pick up Star Trek on Blu-Ray...but when i saw the check out line i turned around, put it back, an decided to come back another day. that place was packed

@hush:  don't you dare buy a bluray in that god-forgotten store... I've seen so many evil prices there... I'm sure you will get a much better price at Amazon.  for example, you can get the latest harry potter movie for 10 bucks in bluray in amazon.  also, a bunch of games that do not have even a month have already 10 bucks slashed of their retail price in amazon (tekken 6, ratchet and clank, demon's souls, dragon age...), even the 2010 sports games (madden, fifa, nba) have 10 bucks slashed too... yeah... I'm an "amazonite" haha

and speaking of amazon, since I bought AC2 from them they gave me a $10 discount on my next videogame related purchase from them... I was thinking of using it for Fat Princess since it would only cost $5 but I'm not 100% sure... I played the demo but the complete game is worth it?  It's just that really, there's nothing else that interests me right now...

@polter, save it up for something that cost $60. that way it will be worth it...dont use it on a $15 game.

how is assassins creed 2? better than the first one? that an borderlands caught my eye...

also, Blu-Rays were like $30 for new ones an $24 for old ones. thats gonna hurt my wallet

an i am debating it...im thinking of AC2 like MGS: ancient days. i wouldnt mind stealthing around an sticking people. if the reviews are all pretty good i may get it. this is looking like killzone...the first one came out an everyone was like "YEAH!!" then when they got the game it was more like "oohhhh...", but when they made the second one everyone was like "*%#$ YEAH!".

so im thinking thats how its gonna look. im being pretty optomistic about it.

Wow, I have missed a lot in the last few days or so. Sorry guys, I have been caught up with many things lately. I installed Win 7 on my laptop and it is a major redemption for Microshaft. I beta tested Win 7 when they had the public beta available earlier this year, so I kinda knew what to expext. It is freaking awesome though, I can't even really describe how pleasing it is to see Microsoft rise from the ashes after the Vista horrors. Hmm, this kind of reminds me of the Win ME to Win 2000/XP transition. You get crap in a box and then all of the sudden they pop out with a platter of diamonds.

Also, I have been busy playing Dragon Age, and all I can say is that the game f!%@ing RAWkS! I have been waiting for another epic RPG to come out, and this is the one. The style of the game is a cross between KOTOR, Jade Empire, and Oblivion. Basically a perfect RPG game engine in my opinion thanks to BioWare. I have put the other 6 games I am playing on the back burner until I finish, and oh boy will it be a while. This game is massive!

Oh yeah, I have also been doing that other thing called work too.

I agree with you on the Win7 thing.  I had the RC for a month, have the full version from day one (almost) and I have yet to get an error message, blue screen... nothing of that.  I bought my laptop with Vista pre-installed, about a 2 weeks after it was released, and now with Win7 it runs BETTER, even by not upgrading anything at all, it just works a lot better.  Oh, also love the new keyboard shortcuts and the taskbar... but I won't bore you all with that haha.

Oh and e1, that was to be expected of that game (DAO), BioWare IMO is the best RPG developer on this side of the world, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights... were all fantastic games, and after the experience they had on KOTOR and Mass Effect, they really got their style pretty well.

but i think im gonna save up money instead of buying stuff for sometime...been saving for my road trip next month an gotta save for buying christmas gifts

Couldn't agree more with you guys. Win 7 rawks, BioWare rawks! If you guys don't have Win 7 , you need to get it one way or another. I have been working with computers for 15 years and Microsoft hit the nail on the head with this one. Very impressive. :D

Also, what is up with Photobucket being out of bandwisth?? Out Union pics aren't loading. If you guys want I can upload them to my web server and we can serve them from there. Then there won't be any bandwidth issues, ever. Gregg, let me know and if you want to, we will get it done.

@Chang: Yeah, Demons Souls got really good reviews here on GS. I watched the videos for it and it looked like it is a extremely well designed game. But, I am hooked like a baby on candy to DA! ;)

Not sure with PhotoBucket,, but I have offered for anyone who is interested to host the images from my web server (domain).. For your PC, there are free tools that you can install to try and clean it up. Go to www.download.com and search for these, install, and run them. 

AVG Free 9.0 (Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware) If you don't already have one.

CCleaner (Cleans junk files and registry) Good to do about once a week.

Defraggler (Disk Defragmenter) Waaayyyyy better than one built into Windows.

If you are familiar with msconfig.exe, you can edit registry to turn off stuff that starts up when your computer boots that is not necessary. There are a lot of things that can run in the background can bog down your computer and make it run slow.

hmmm...but yeah i need a new comp. the one im using, my vaio, is a relic now. i got it my sophomore year of high school...6ish years ago. but since i have been back to the states an unloaded it...it takes a bit longer to fully start up after i login. after that its fine. then it got this virus that i had purged an i cleaned up alot of stuff on it...an its still slow.

it is definitly time to start saving up for a new one. E1, since you know computers and speak their tongue...could you tell me what kind of comp i need to play wh40K dawn of war 2? it needs these specs i dont understand an i know for sure my comp cant handle it an if i get a new one i want to know if most current models come good to go with the software/videocards/etc.

@hush:  I'm sure e1 will agree with me on these:  1) don't buy laptops for gaming, 2) the best gaming pc you can get is the one you build yourself

as for gaming cards, I think both ATI and nvidia cards are good (but I personally prefer ATI), although I've never had a PC, just laptops, and video cards in laptops are integrated into the motherboard so... I cannot change them

my recommendation however: if you computer is THAT slow... backup your files and reinstall windows, I do that yearly and that's how I keep my laptop nice and fast :D

@e1:  AVG is one of the best antivirus out there, and it's free so that's a big plus (btw people, don't be fooled, NORTON SUCKS)  McAfee is also decent.  I don't like however messing up with registry cleaners BUT I do use the msconfig to stop some stuff from loading and also the Services thing works wonders to disable other stuff...  and about defragmenting, I don't do that anymore, since I have an external memory, I've been using my computer for months and only have like 2% fragmentation... haha I got carried away, sometimes my friends wonder why didn't I study something related to computers, instead of Biotechnology hahahaha, some think I could give some computer techs a run for their money :D

i would like to build a comp or have one of my cousins do heck, maybe this summer if they visit they can help me build one. there is this AWESOME electronics store here in austin up north. its HUGE an full of good stuff...that stores size makes wal mart look like the puny kid on the playground.

so maybe if they come here we can go there, get the parts, build one an i can have an awesome set up. i tried to upgrade one of my older comps before but that ended in disaster

I agree, not much more to say. Polter knows his stuffs and saved me a lot of typing.....haha! :lol: Definitely go for a custom desktop PC for gaming. You get much more performance than what a laptop can deliver. There is a lot more flexibility for upgrades as well for desktops. When you are ready for parts and such let us know and one of us can help point you in the right direction. :D Oh yeah, external storage is not a bad thing, but you still want to defrag the drive you are storing your data on. Another good utility is Eraser (also FREE), you can erase free space (write is over with 0's) and that helps too and removes any remnants of old data too. It also allows you to do secure deletes, DoD (Department of Defense) standards and so on. :)

Finally found Soul Reaver 2 for PS2. £4.00. Again, awesome. Probably got the best english voice cast of any game.

actually i made that up.

but it brings back a good memory of my friend when our families were stationed in in Lajes, Azores...i came from Germany an his family came in from England. and even though we were all americans...he spelt words like armor an color with a "u" in them an got them wrong on tests.
