so below I quote what I posted in the recruit forum that gregg suggested...

hi everyone,

we have a Castlevania union and we do periodicals recruitments; and someone recommend this place to recruit. Though it was a good idea.

The union is active and growing, but we love new faces, at the end those are the one that keep the fun going.

Union: Castlevania Ultima Union

Description: Founded in 2006, is active and today stand as one of the few endorsed unions in GameSpot. We talk about all related to castlevania from videogames, artbooks, comics, films (if the animation ever come :P ). As extra 2-3 board games and you can always visit our Burnt Paradise for some random chat witha friend, show your love for other game/movie. Once in a while we have contest with real prizes (last time 1000 wii point game of your choice, as a celebration for the VC/wiiware CV games that were release)

We tend to be very good and very fast bringing the lastest of the Castlevania universe, and you will find guides with review of all games up to date (last release under construction)

I think all of the ideas we have put together are wonderful, and the post looks great chang! :D

I have been inviting users that are posting to anything CV related, I plan to keep lurking around GS to find more users to recruit. Here is a topic I opened in the Greatest Game Villain forums. There have been some replies and I invited everyone except for the Mod that posted there. ;)

You guys should post over there too if you have time to support the thread. :D

I got a response from the leader at MHU and he declined for now because he is going to be leaving GS soon I guess. He told me that he might have to randomly select someone for the leader position because he didn't have any candidates. I extended the offer to take the position if he didn't have anyone else to take it, mainly because I don't want to see that place die off. However, if I do become leader over there then we will have an affiliation for sure. :D

*Just to note, my priorities will remain the same if I do end up with the position. CUU FTW BABY!!!! :lol:

Just letting you guys know I added a couple of links to the "links and resources" thread that we didn't have there. The ones I added were The Castlevania Wikia and The Forbidden Library (a wiki being devoleoped by the folks at Chapel of Resonance). :)

Next, I plan to update the Games Guide thread with info that we don't have posted yet for the most current CV games. I will probably have those done later tonight. ;)

Oh, and I went through our union bulletins and tagged them with appropriate tags related to the series so that hopefully they will show up in other areas of GS. I am going to do the same thing with some of the threads we have.

I AM ON A ROLL BABY!!!! :lol: Nah, really it's just been a while since we went through and touched things up a bit. chang and I have been working very hard getting things up to par (they already were, but you know what I mean :P ) with the menus and information, gaining recruits, and ressurecting some of the lost but totally awesome threads! :D

I also want to say that I love when we all come together like this and put our ideas out there to take action and better the union. It's been a while since we all put our heads together like this, and together we make this union rock the socks off of most other unions on GS! :D

About the guide, WAIT :P as you notice I started working on it yesterday and I was waiting for the thing that are going on now on the union, to create a team to work on it. why? as you can tell the guide has a format that i would like to keep.

great job on tagging the bulletins,which tag did you use? the more ppl use the same tag the higher what you tagged appear :) So maybe would be good to post what words you use to tag, so whoever wants can do the same. 

Also tag the union: I have use castlevania, and others. but adding the games that ppl are seraching for now at days is always good. e.g. lord of shadow, lord, shadow, order, harmony....

Also I can not find the way to post a clip/video on the homepage blog update. That is new since when I was more involve and leader :P

also... aawwww.. someone is getting nostalgic and corny :P :lol:

I guess I could go into what is need it for the guide. We need ppl to:

1. I can not post image, (glitchspot do not let me put more than 1-2 image per post). So I need someone to post the image under screenshots section. 3-5 image, small size. If possible as tumbnails that when you click get bigger. Same with posting the artbox of the game: US and EU version if possible.

2. we need ppl to do reviews of the games for the section of "review by CUU members" Please try to have a good format. this, this and this are good examples, they do not have to be as long, but try to have sections and be objective.

3. We need to review some pro reviewers and summarize that. I can`t do all games pending. so can divide them.

No problem with the guide, I had read through all the others ones and I am already familiar with the format. But, I am glad you put things in better perspective and I think it is a great idea to split it up. However, you and I are the only officers that do anything with the menus and updates to them so we will have to decide who takes what. I was prepared to take care of most of the info except for the user reviews for now and have already began collecting info. ;)

Although, anyone can write a review so it would be nice to get others to do that. Maybe we should open a thread asking for anyone who is interested to do a review on the CV game of their choice. What do you guys think?

*I would never drasticly change anything anyway, only add to it and follow suit. You should know this by now :P :lol: Remember, I was the one who kept things up to date with the LoS OP and bulletins while you were out. ;) Oh, and thanks for the heads up the telegrams too. I had never really thought to do it before, but from now on I will. :)

@e1: what do you mean by "collecting info" as you can see I do not put info in teh guide, I link the realm (Which is already done) ... stuff that need to be found are image of the cover (pls no a big image, e.g. judgement cover is too big), and screenshots.

The professional reviews (pls continue based on GS and IGN) is the thing that takes the time, bc this constast of reading the reviews and kind of doing a "sums-up" with pro and cons... the now-at-days reviews of GS helps bc they have a nice bad/good part.

I`m bringing the review thread back, don`t worry, pry would be done by the time you read this... :P

I was referring to info as in images and reviews. I will be sure to follow format, so no worries already! :P But thanks for the detailed info, I am more aware of certain things now and that is good.

With the Judgement cover we can just resize it in the post, I'll take care of it. The others that need done I will get them done by the end of the weekend. ;)

for me the 3 first speedrun are no opening ?broken link. Want to confirmed that this is like that for others before I remove them.

I can check it out to see if I am getting the same thing or if I can fix it. Also, I will be doing some maintenance soon to fix the graphics issues we are having due to me losing my server  during this whole stroke thing... I'll let you guys know what's up once I can sort all of it out.:)

Oh Gregg and chang, how would you guys feel if we had www.cuuforum.org? It could be used for forum stuff like graphics (both personal and official union stuff), media, and basic online file storage. Icould create folders on the server for us, the other officers, and "earned active" recruits. It could sort of be a perk of the union for staff and actives. I can even setup a sub-domain that would be media.cuuforum.org for the graphics and media related content (Metalvania files, so on... ) We could figure out what else to do with the server and such or if we want to set up a webpage for the union (which I can do) as well that could potentially drive more recruits/active members our way due to being more exposed on the web and to search engines. :D

After I renew the server again, all I would have to do is register the domain (no one is using that domain name so it is available.

Just trying to think of ways to drive more traffic because of the stuff we were starting work on before my stroke and a way for me to do something for everyone since I missed Christmas AND New Years....

Anyway, let me know what you guys think! :D

about cuuforum, yea I don`t see why not. I think this point was brough in the past. I still ting that as long as is not an actual forum, bc doing so it would divide the post between here and there, make the existed of the domain pointless in the sense that it will decrease the posting here and the existant of the union as well, bc then we can just hang out in that other forum.

but for files and media and such, yea.. why not?

@semi: That is a good idea if it's the direction that everyone wants to go in the union, not just us (the leaders/officers), but everyone. Well, those who care to vote anyway.

But for now, we can keep things simple and just use it for media, files, and such. I can play around with the site later. Actually, I have a question for you...

Were you around when  the Chapel moved from the gamespy.com servers? If so, how "smooth" was the transition?

Ok, since it's a go i will buy the domain and everything as soon as monies allows. I should have enough for it here in a week or two.

Also, sorry about the delay with the graphics fix... As you can see from my posts in Burnt I had been really busy with therapy and all that crap. For now I am going to use a backup server (free one with semi-limited bandwidth) I have in place for our banner and official graphics as welll as anything releated to the graphics forum since those graphics require more bandwidth than what photobucket will allow for free. Once the new server is in place I will roll it all over to there so we wont have to worry about the bandwidth at all. Once I have the domain and server up it will take a little time to set it up and figure out how exactly to devide it and organize.

As faer as the personal folders I could care less how everyone decides to organize their personal stuff. But the main "stuff" I will be sure to keep in order. Also, the admin access to the server will be limited to you Gregg, chang, and myself. Everyone else will have limited access to their folder only.

I will have to create some sort of instructions on how to log into an ftp, upload, and so on as well for everyone. I think I still have them somewhere from when I created access for Polter and Hush.

Anyway, I will keep you guys updated on the status of everything as it happens. ;)

 Oh yeah, you may see some new banners for everyone to vote on soon too.... I think it's time for a new one anyway. :lol:

So everyone has probably noticed that the banner and headers are broken. Mari, I'd like you to send me the files via e-mail, if possible. I'll upload them to my GS account, so that they can't break again.GreggD
