more like, maybe she knew she'd die under that sort of circumstances, but she would've taken the risk nonetheless. It's nobody's fault. But some director/story writer decided to make an emo guy blame it on himself, so that it seems that way. :?

Emo is short for emotional hardcore, which is a genre of music first seen in the 1980's. Now it has kind of lost its meaning and become a fashion. The stereotypical "emo" is a depressed teenager, which is why it is often used to describe Cloud and Squall.

yup, they do get depressed, which can be natural for humans, sometimes, but they still do enjoy life and have happiness, like all other people as well. You can't call a person "emo" if a person gets depressed a few times. besides, emo is a genre that was totally made up by teens or whatever, it's not a technical term or anything...

Squall was really angry if you ask me. He just thought everyone was stupid, that everything was stupid, and how introverted he was.Shiggums

I have an emo friend, who is also a nerd, which I think is kinda funny. He always has such a negative look on life, yet I'm such the opposite from that since I'm a life is good kinda guy. Squall is like a definition of emo beside the self inflicting pain part. And he dresses like an idiot.eztarg8

I don't think life is absolutley wonderful or that bad, I'm just laid back, with a "whatever" kind of personality, with not a care in the world...I just do whatever I feel like doing...go with the flow.

and Squall didn't really act so great in the beginning of VIII, sure, but he did change his ways and became more caring.
