Alright, I'll post 7 or 8 from the old and new. I'll start with the old
This is the 1rst sig I've ever made for myself:
1rst banner I've made for the Gotei 13, it was for a contest (pic ripped off somewhere):
2nd sig I've made for myself, This one is ripped from a wallpaper:
1rst banner I've made for myself, when I look at this I must say, was designed like crap lmao(made from screenshots and a wallpaper:
3rd sig I've made for myself, it made me say "ugh" when I saw it now lol (render from Photobucket, backgroud was made and blurred in photoshop):
1rst bloheader made (I had a "blur the background fase here):
request for someone (I think I used some brush here, dont remember. not that good huh):
blogheader request (line art and screenshot both found on photobucket and put together):
Avi request:
I guess you can see from whom this request came from, backgroud om both are blurred from the renders you see and some brushes, made around the same time I made that purple sig for myself):
Mayuri sig. I was in a "brush" fase here. Use of a smoke brush here. characters are from 1 pic. Rendered it and put them in, with a purple background. I think I used the smoke brush in a lot of requests back then and most of them looked like this one.:
Now I'm going to post some of my alltime favs from myself (sounds rather ego from me :P)
Although it's an animated sig, it's still one of my favs, this and old mans sig. Mines is still better, it's not pixelated. Mines is made from screenshots and of course a scene from the movie Sin City, I watched the movie and got inspired from it. Old man was lucky because I watched that movie very recent when he requested that, so that made it easy form me to select a scene from it. Old mans sig is made from 2wallpapers:
Most recent one on my list, Grotteks Prince. This is one of the 1rst sig that has to me the "flow" what an experienced designer likes to see in sigs. It has almost everything in it what I've learned over the past 2 years. The background was made from the render (blurred), it's darkend out with a black soft brush. It has some smudge technique in it, blood splatter brushes (used in 2 different ways, 1 = clipping mask, 2 = white blood splatters with outer glow):
Fav theme made, also a recent one. You can see it on Grotteks union in action. Pics used 1, 2, 3, 4. Here is where I will show a little screenshot from it. The 4 characters are put in 1 wallpaper 1rst, width of that is same as a banner. After that it's chopped into pieces for banner, header and avi. The wallpaper overall doesn't look all to fancy but if you chop it to piece for the union it look as 1 piece. The name "Games Dimension X" is made in (Adobe)Illustrator 1rst (not in photoshop!), then it's copy/paste as smart object into photoshop used as clipping mask.:
Sig request. simple use of C4D's, lighting and text. Absolutely one of my favs. Render found somewhere, dont recall where.:
This one is made around the same time as Lelouch Lamperouge sig. I had a C4d fase back then. The placing of the text is done in a way I dont think I've used much again. I should apply this more often...:
Banner, I figure you can see yourself for who. Characters are ripped from wallpapers: 1, 2, 3, 4. The logo was take from THIS and edited in photoshop. Has clipping masks, splatter brushes. It must be the brightest banner I've ever made... I think:
We're sticking with the same person that made the request. Sig. If I hadn't made it for Nica I would have kept this one myself. It has a poetic theme-ish thing going on here. The text on background you see is a brush! Use of clipping mask in the 3 pics in column:
Well have fun comparing the old with the new. I hope you all see the difference in those. Old = never took a tutorial. New ones are after take some tutorials. Most of the time it's trying to copy a sig you like or have seen before and pour it into a new sig.
well what you've done to this sig is amazing . I usually don't like what people make for me and i usually don't wear other people's work . You're the only one i've accept as a designer . And this piece proves what im talking about
Oh wow Slap-sensei. I love a lot of these works of yours.
*Staring at them all* It really shows how far you've come too. :o
@grottek
well thank you
[QUOTE="Eucalypta"]*Bunch of sigs*-Katsuri-Oh man, these are really nostalgic.
lol on "bunch of sigs", yup nostalgic it is. the old ones are probably all from the 1rst year/beginning 2nd year
@ebbon
now we wait to see how far you will go
Been drawing since i was 14 didnt really get good at til i got 16.
Never really though about drawing manga.lol
Â
Well maybe you should think about it because you are really good Ken. I admire anyone that I know who can draw like that.
I used to draw a lot but was never good at it and my parents still have a couple of clowns that I drew on frames hanging up at their house... I look at them and try to figure out why they put them up because I don't think they are all the great ... lol.
Our Ken wouldn't do that Kat, he's too cool to be a Nick Simmons. Drawing one's own manga is just that, creating your own characters and not copying someone else's works, which is what Nick did in a big way.
lol never heard of him. but i wouldnt do anything like that because Im the type of person who likes to take adventures. so if i ever made an manga it wouldnt copyright someones elses work. I would take suggestion on the way my manga should be and tie it to my set manga i already came up with but never copyright.

This is the Christmas card I designed for my girlfriend. I'm having it made into an actual card at Office Max this weekend and sending it out with her present too. :D
This is in my sig but I had trouble readjusting the image size in Tinypic so I just let GS cut off the bottom. But on both the original and this one the image are the same as is the phrase written on it (The phrase is original). People actually love how this came out despite the fact I did it in Paint.net.
I tried...It's not as helpful when I can't watch the work being done and when I can't find any other video sites besides Youtube which all the ones I've watched are low-quality...
Not the same (or easy) as having someone saying, "Go to this tab on the toolbar, open this window, use this tool with this setting, etc." I've had to either read beginner tutorials that sound like you're expected to know the ends of GIMP World or press my face up against the monitor to try and read jumbled-looking pixels...
Not my ideal of enriching. -_-
