Also, did you think that was pass interference on Jerraud Powers on the last UGA TD drive?

geaux321

Nah, but I thought both sides got some lucky breaks. On UGA's last drive (4th down), it's perfectly legal to go from a 2-point stance to a 3-point stance on the snap count, but UGA got called for illegal procedure when it should've been the other way around. Georgia also should've got a holding call for grabbing an Auburn receiver in the endzone on Auburn's last drive. Horribly officiated game.

LOL @ Troy up on LSU 31-3!

And now LOL @ Troy for blowing their huge lead and losing 40-31 in the 4th. :|

Troy = MASSIVE joke. :roll:

They're a Sun Belt team without their starting QB, what do you expect from them.

It's a little after the fact, but I just wanted to let you know that I concurred with sith.

They've already beaten Mississippi St., but that was years ago.  Not to mention they destroyed Okie St. last year, but Okie got the better of them this year.

I thought they'd give Ohio St. a run for their money this year, but that was early on in the year.

A few things from yesterday:

LSU was down another QB on Saturday, but their pass D wasn't doing much of anything either.

I hate how Oklahoma plays that song after everything, get creative and play something different.

How does the #2 team in the nation give up 65 points?

Hah, good job Notre Dame you lost to an awful team in Syracuse, Charlie Weis is an awful coach, keep him.

Abeline Christian scored 93 against West Texas A&M in the second round of their playoffs, they also gave up 68.

Keep it up Oregon St. all they need to do is beat Oregon and they can smell the roses and USC can get left out.

I still hate the ACC, how is it that the two (correction, three) ranked teams get blown out by 31, 34, and Miami by 18 points.

I've said it about LSU once already, but I'll say it again. They're the most inconsistant "good" team in the country this season. They're good one week, then lousy the next.

I'm not surprised that Tech gave up that many points. They got down early and, pretty much, gave up. Then Bob Stoops left his starters in until, sometime, in the 4th quarter to run up the score. He knows the only way he's getting to the Big Twelve CG is through the BCS. And the only way that's gonna happen is with these "style points" we keep hearing about all the time. It's all bull****, I know.

I absolutely love that Notre Dame lost to 'Cuse. Now he can't just throw the OC under the bus for a massive loss to USC like we all know he was planning on.

I would love to see USC not get to a BCS bowl, but I still see them get an at-large bid over someone that actually earned it.

How can something like that happen in the ACC? They're a mediocre conference from top to bottum.

Also, Wisonsin went to OT with a 1AA team (**** this FCS ****), and only won because Cal Poly missed their PAT.

Good points, both of you.

I believe USC will not get shout out of a BCS bowl. Name one team that will not get a BCS game that is better than USC (please don't give a B12 team because we all know only 2 teams from each conference can get into a BCS game)? As for OU playing the same thing after everything, all schools do that. "Style points" do count, at least the computers think so (damn machines have no heart or sportsmanship). As for the ACC, they should lose their "money" bowl (aka BCS bowl) because no one has dominated that conference. Why should someone with 3, maybe more, losses still get a big payout from the BCS?

Now my own observations:

It seems no one wants to win in Washington. WSU wins in 2OT and they storm the field. wow

I still have some hopes for BSU getting a BCS bowl. Will it happen? Probably not, but I can dream. If not, there's always the Poinsettia Bowl (anything but the Boise bowl).

I might have more, but I can't think right now

Well when Andrew Hatch went down with a broken leg, LSU was in trouble.  Jarrett Lee is by no means a good QB, and it pisses me off that he beat Auburn in the second half.  Right now, their pass defense is getting picked apart, they should be better than that.

Didn't Cal Poly miss 3 kicks in that game?

Boise beat Fresno 61-10. Boise finished the regular season undefeated again. Now it's a waiting game to see what bowl we get into. Hopefully if the stars align right up we will get a BCS. If it comes down to Ohio St. and us, I would really get pissed if OSU gets it. I believe the Cotton Bowl is the bowl we would be in, but I don't think they would take chance on another non-BCS school. But if we don't get into a BCS bowl, I still like are bowl possiblities. Their is the Poinsettia Bowl. That would be againist TCU. Would be a good WAC vs. MWC clash. That bowl is run awesomely. I am hoping for this one because I usually get media passes for this bowl and it's closer to me. The Hawaii bowl, but I don't think we will elect to go there. Then there is the H-bowl (Humanitarian). Ok the H-bowl would love to get Boise because it would be a sell out, but why should an undefeated team play a 5, 6, or 7 place ACC team. But the H-bowl is trying to get Ball State to come play Boise. They don't realize they will get the same answer the school gets when they try to get schools to come play at Boise. It's difficult to play Boise at home. Maybe BSU and BSU will find a neutral place to play. I think it would be a good game. But we will see after this weekend. Saturday night is going to be interesting.

EDIT: I meant the Sugar Bowl not the Cotton Bowl. I always get those mixed up.

Please somebody offer Martinez a head coaching job because Richt won't fire this jackass! Every time Georgia opens a big lead on anybody (whether it's GT, Kentucky, LSU, etc), the defense just stops. There's as much talent on this defense as there was 5 years ago, but the defense is fading quickly every year.

GT-45 UGA-42 final.

edit: I signed the petition lol.

I think many of our teams are more than just decent. A decent team doesn't beat Georgia. A decent team doesn't crush South Carolina. Our worst teams are decent. Hell, some of out "worst" teams are some of our best teams. The ACC doesn't have any bad schools to beat up on; any game is a toss-up. I hope today, going 3-1 against the SEC, we have shown our teams are not just "mediocre all the way through".

WE aren't the only ones talking down the ACC. I haven't heard a single team say I want to play againist the ACC (or Big East) in a BCS bowl. Heck, if Utah plays an ACC team it would be like '04. They won, but got no respect for it.

Okay I replace decent with above average. Better? Georgia was overrated, and it was a rivalry...you didn't mention that. South Carolina? lol cmon now. I thought FSU was the best ACC team and they got owned by one of the top SEC teams. My point is no one cares or gives the ACC credit because there isn't a great team at all. Not a top 15 team, not one. Actually GT will be top 15 next week but yeah cmon now. They have 3 losses.

We don't have a top 15 team because we beat up on eachother. We don't have that one or two outstanding teams who just destroy almost all the teams on their schedule. We have many good teams, and each can knock off our best team.

FSU isn't even going to the ACC Championship game. We're doing better than the past few seasons, but what I'm excited for the next few. We have a lot of talent, but no experience.

To top off the loss, it puts FSU at 2nd in winning percentage since 1990 behind the Gators. :x

The ACC doesn't have an Iowa State, a Baylor, a Colorado, a Kansas State, or a Texas A&M. We don't have any teams that we can just beat up on. We have 10 bowl eligible teams. Our worst team is Duke, who beat Vanderbilt. Our second worst record-wise is Virginia, who beat Georgia Tech, Miami, and North Carolina. It could be argued that the best (or one of the best) ACC teams right now is NC State, who finshed with a 6-6 record, but won the last 4.

That's the ACC's problem right now. Even their "best/better" teams are mediocre compared to the best in the country.

PS. And just so you don't think I'm picking on you/the ACC, the Big 10 is in the same situation (more or less). The only two conferences worth a damn, from top to bottum, are the Big 12 and SEC.

For the first time in 7 years I'm not sure what to do.geaux321

Maybe it's just me, but I believe that this year (more than ever) is proof that the BCS (or, Bulls**t Championship Series) BLOWS.

Not top to bottom for the Big 12 and SEC. Just the top. I would choose the bottom ACC teams over the bottom Big 12 and SEC teams. The ACC doesn't have "best/better" teams and we don't have "worst/worse" teams. All of the teams are about equal. The same cannot be said for the Big 12 and SEC, since they have a large separation for their best and worst teams. My point is, having every team about equal does not make the ACC bad as many think.

I was thinking to myself, "Where have I heard this before?" Then it hit me. That's the same thing the ACC says about baseball. Yet, they haven't won a national title since 1955.

Wow, I turned it off when it was 42-0, I didn't think they'd get another before half.

I did, if Hawaii hadn't thrown that pick 6 they would've won the game, because Cincy wasn't moving the ball at all.

yeah, Hawaii's defense played awesome last night, it was the offense. Out of the whole game, to me, they only took a shot at the endzone once, the huge throw from ALexander to Lane.

Yeah, that UH-Cincy game was insane. Cincy's offense totally sucked. Kudos to the defense for being able to almost singlehandedly keep the Bearcats in the game.

UH almost beat the number 1 Big East team. SUPER LAME! Cincy get's a BCS bowl while Boise killed UH and they probably won't get a BCS game. Stupid system.

While I'm not defending Cincy, they don't go to Hawaii every other year.  Also, it's much easier for Boise to gameplan Hawaii since they see them every year.

Overall, that cincy game was bad for the Bearcats. they were suppose to come to Hawaii and whoop the warriors arses, but no. and the spread was 14 points over Hawaii. Hawaii beat the spread. and betters in Vegas probably lost plenty lol.

Next years going to be sweet with Alexander returning and some really good recruits on defense enrolling in, the defense is going to be much like this years Offense lol.

True, but I've got to agree with bjvb. Cincy was projected to play much better than they did, and there really was no reason why the Bearcats couldn't have played a better game. Now, what would happen in a head-to-head matchup between Boise St. and Cincy, I have no idea. Regardless, I can't help but view the Broncos as the better team.

It's a shame to see a "BCS worthy" team that struggled against UH go to the Orange Bowl (to most likely get killed by Va. Tech) while Boise St. has been left with a trip to the Poinsettia Bowl (but hey, who knows; maybe the Broncos might not be a match for TCU).
