I'm guessing there might be a Hell in a Cell or TLC as one of the major "Extreme Rules" match-type on the PPV.

Thats what happened last year but One Night Stand 08 was very good in my opinion. However, there's still no reason what so ever to have that much time to build towards any PPV. I really do believe the E should get rid of JD

Unless Trips returns and faces Orton, I don't think HIAC will make an appearance. On the other hand, I can see Hardy/Edge JD rematch in TLC, which I desperately want to see

I would say Turk130's guess of a possible TLC match between Jeff and Edge would be a good place to start with the speculation.

What about Matt Hardy? Didn't he get involved last night? I'm sure the WWE will bend the rule of the draft "exclusive to their brand" and put maybe Matt Hardy into the mix.

I do not know? They could always go a 3-way TLC? Or a tag-team TLC match?

I would love to see a 'Barbwire Steel Cage Match' and I mean a proper one, not like Show/JBL from NWO 05. I'm a mark for those matches but seeing as though the E are PG, I don't think that would happen any time soon. If there's any that I don't want to see its 'LMS' and 'First Blood' where they don't actually bleed, like last years between Cena/JBL.

What about an 'Iron-man Match', its been a while since we've had one of them

Wait... there was a First Blood match were nobody bleed? How did that end? Was it fake blood? Or did end in a no contest?

I don't think that constitute "Extreme Rules" since basically if you use a weapon, you get disqualified, unless they decided that match will be anything goes, Iron Man match.

Good reason why that is the case. Iron-Man matches just do not get over with your average consumer.

The finish of last years 'First Blood' match had Cena get his metal chain which he wears, put it round JBL's throat and put him in the STFU where JBL bled from the mouth. However, it was so obvious that it was a blood capsule and the camera didn't even stay on JBL's face for a few seconds. As soon as Cena let go of the hold, they cut away from JBL's face, it was so bad and lame

So, worked internal bleeding? Lame.

If you are going do a First Blood match, have them bleed from the forehead. It may be "predictable," but it works, plain and simple.

Now that I think about it, there's nothing really Extreme about an 'Iron Man Match', except for the length. The only reason I suggested it was because I can't think of any other big-time gimmick matches. I mean, HIAC they won't do cos lets face it Taker or Trips aren't around, LMS we had at Backlash and the Elimination Chamber we had at NWO. The only matches I can think of is TLC and Cage Matches

I think this time if they are going for a Cage, put a roof on it, raise the cage a little higher and filled it with weapons inside. I think the WWE needs to do something different with their Steel Cage matches.

Just because they had LMS match at Backlash, does not necessarily mean they will not do it again at Extreme Rules. It was last year, or the year before that, where they had 2 different LMS matches only 2 or 3 months apart. If I remember correctly, that was the same year they did that is where they had at least 4 different LMS matches within the same year.

2007: Cena/Umaga LMS Royal Rumble 07, Taker/Batista LMS Backlash 07 and Trips/Orton No Mercy 07

And I know that they've done that before but I just really don't want see another one this soon. I mean what are they, TNA?

Any guesses on what other matches will be on the card? My guesses would be:

John Morrison and a partner vs. WGTT, I bet.

Kane vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho

Something with Miz and Cena?!

Christian vs. Tommy Dreamer? (His contract is up in June something, so they could throw this in.)

Turk130

Which is basically what they did last year, and with there only being 2 weeks of build to work with, is about the only thing they can do.

As it has been mentioned before, the current PPV schedule is ****ed. They could stand loose a PPV or two.

They got rid of New Year's Revolution, despite the fact the PPV always received solid numbers.

It may have been solid when it came to numbers, but I personally though that NYR was always a mediocre show. I know that it only lasted three years, but still, the only memorable thing to happen on any NYR show was Edge's first title win, after that I have a hard time naming anything else

I have been watching Smackdown! I know they had Punk as his partner last time but I'm saying Punk might still continue his fued with Umaga. They just toss Umaga back into the fold, and I'm thinking they'll go further with that. We still didn't get an explanation as to why Umaga attack Punk, of all guys. I just see Morrison and a new partner vs. WGTT in some sort of Extreme Rules.

Other than it being the pay-per-view that featured the Elimination Chamber in the 2005 and 2006 events, it did feature the Umaga-Cena LMS, which was generally positively praised.

Otherwise, I have to agree. To me, it was just filler, until Royal Rumble time hit.

My mistake. I confused you with mrgab.

Otherwise, the reason I was mention that, is what sense does it make do a PPV match, when the WWE just did on free television?

(Than again, the WWE does that sort of thing all of the time, with Kane-Punk being one of the lastest examples of that point).

Whatever the case, if they do that match, who do you think John Morrison's partner might be?

I'm not too sure. Is there anybody worthy of being John Morrison's partner? Could be Punk again if they all of sudden drop the Umaga-Punk rivalry.

Yeah, you are right. Between you and KevyR, that is two strikes in-a-row against me, in the memory department.

Otherwise, that would be another strike against NYR, for a PPV that already had strikes against to begin with. :P

Well, if the rumor is true, that The Undertaker is going into a program with Umaga upon his return, it would make sense to keep Umaga strong, and therefore, keep him winning, and therefore, while they have jobbed Punk 2 pay-per-views in-a-row, I do not think they will do it for a 3rd. At least, I hope not.

Well, the womens match last year was advertised as an 'I Quit' match. So when it was announced, I though; Wow, an extreme womens match. However, when the bell rang they just did submission moves for the majority of the match. Not complaining, it was a decent womens match but when you hear 'I Quit' match you expect something...well...extreme
