Oh, god that's 4 straight 'Mania's that Cena either goes in with/walks out with a title or wins 1

'Mania XX defeated Big Show for US title(if i remember correctly.....)

'Mania XXI defeated JBL(I wanted Cena to win this 1)

'Mania XXII defeats HHH(time to play the game???? HHH had it)

now 'Mania XXIII(WTF?!)

honestly, I like Cena as a wrestler, but dude, let the WWE title go for a while, stick with your tag title and find a decent partner will ya? HBK should've been WWE Champion, honestly this 'Mania is one of the worst I've seen, 'Taker winning and some of MITB was good, I though Jeff had it and I though they were gonna push him considering this was his 1st 'Mania in 5 years... Cena is good it's just that he needs to let the WWE title go, he's had it for 3 straight 'Mania's now, I'm not hating on him, but it's time for a change, seriously

WWE is probably going to have another undeafeted streak but with john cena this time

We saw your post, no need to blank quote it again. As for Cena, they'll push him to the moon however they want. Whether most of us like it or not. I think a feud with someone that could bring out the best in him would get him more respect. HBK was certainly someone who could do it, and if Cena gets brand traded again, I'd love to see him work with Benoit, with Benoit winning the title. That way Benoit gets another run and Cena looks more respectable. And I hate the STFU.
[QUOTE="majingokuss3"]

hell, i skipped that match cause i knew it would suck(diva's c'mon)

kayne2000

so because its a female vs female match you instantly skip it? lets hear it for sexist....

No, but when its two women that we know can't wrestle, then yes I do instantly skip it. I went and made a snack, and I'm thankful I did.

I went 50% on my picks. I'm fairly certain that's my worst number in years by a long shot. For the most part, the one's I missed I actually preferred not getting it right, like Benoit retaining or the Originals going over... or just couldn't have given a crap either way, Trashley match

Sounds like the show over-achieved drastically, again entirely on the effort of the performers. Good for the wrestlers and for the people suckered into buying tis, probably bad for us in the long run. We only encourage them.

I just have a few question, how was the crowd overall? Everything seems to indicate that they continued the theme of really aiding the show.

How did they react to Lashley?

EDIT: And how long did Michaels stay in the STFU?

[QUOTE="mja2k3"]So if MVP doesn't win, I will riot?The_Dude14

So... How's the riot coming along?

I killed somebody. :|

Meh, I have mixed feelings on the show last night. And since I'm too lazy to put this into decent paragraph form, I'm doing bullets.

- I guess WWE did their job with the WWE title match. It got emotion out of me, and I'm sure everyone else too. My emotion was just pissed off. And yelling bad words at the TV...followed by giving it the bird. I actually thought HBK had it.

As for the match, * * 1/2 stars. I for one hated the slow build up. But the ending was alright. Some moves seemed out of place, and HBK TOTALLY carried the entire match.

Also, if Cena hurts his right leg so bad he can't stand up how does he get walk again within, literally, one punch.

- I, along with everyone else I'm sure was impressed by Batista's and The Undertakers performance. I probably thought this match was going to end 3 times before it actually did. Great job selling the moves, to both guys.

* * * *

- Trump and Vince gave me a much needed bathroom break :)

- I actually liked the MVP/Benoit match. Though MVP was very impressive staying right on beat with Benoits submissions. He was also getting some of his own in. Now just loose the power rangers outfit, bro.

- I was in complete amazement at the Kane/Khali match. And by amazment, I mean boredome.

- MITB III was very cool. There were times when it was pretty badly timed, like one person on the ladder climbing extremely slowly. I'm pretty sure you'd be climbing faster if it's a world title shot and you've had very little damage on your body. But every MITB has that, and last years might of been worse. It wasn't a big deal or nothing.

I seriously thought Edge was close to dead after that spot. Notice how he didn't move anything on his body except his neck, barely, and his eyes. His back broken, legs broken, I didn't know what. I though Hardy was in a little better shape because he waved of the medical staff to look at Edge first.

Anyway, the spot was sick, Punk was great, and I'm glad kennedy won. * * * 1/2

- Random note for those of you who didn't watch. The Stage/ramp was really cool imo. It looked simple, but it changed for some peoples entrance. Like Edge's, Ashleys, Shawns, Undertaker, MVP, and some others.

- There was a streaker/crazy fan. From the little the camera man was on him he was dressed it almost all white. White shorts(at his ankles..wtf :| ) White boxers, and a white shirt(looked like he was trying to take it off...) It was during the HBK and Cena match, right before the bell rang. HBK just smiled and laughed, then waved to the guy goodbuy. Cena looked disgusted.

I'm shocked he got by security.

- Cena's entrance was extremely lame. His entrance last year was easily better.

It was just a professional driver driving a mustang fast around Ford Field. Then, cut the a new mustang with Cena in it , have it crash the a big glass sheet and play Cena's music.

- Melina's pants were slightly see-through. For those of you interested >_>

I also noticed that, his leg got tortured and hurt yet he was able to walk again, he didnt even limp at the remaining of the match to atleast show he was still hurting

Yea that is the part of wrestling that is fake

Im not saying HHH and Mysterio had fake injuries I am just saying that most injuries that happen during a match that really doesnt affect them that much is fake.

Yeah we know, but in real life, an injury wont go away after 3 seconds. Cena was getting his leg clobbered by HBK for a good 8 minutes before Cena started making a comeback, and didnt favor the leg at all. He could have sold it for realism and for some drama to the match.

Twas not even expecting the watch the PPV, Didn't care for it in the slightest. And I'm glad My bro wasted his money on this.

MITB 3: The Rise of Meh. 4/5

Good Match....cept Mr. Meeeehneddey.......Mehneeddey won....and that guy is Meh. If people didn't hang on to his Nuuuu...Mic Skills they would see the Meh.

I liked the Booker, Edge Spot where they kicked everyone's ass with a Move. Punk Clearing House with the Ladder was fun. Edge getting broken in half was sweet...And When Kennedy killed Little Bastard, priceless. RKO dishing out RKOs was hilarious. Funny how Punk and Kennedy are the Last two standing at the matches twilight.

Kane vs Khali: Klash Of The Titans. 1/5

And just like that Movie this was just as slow and clunky as Stop Motion Clay Monsters. Like who thought Kane was gonna win...This is Kane, HE NEVER WINS! and Khali Sucks.

 MVP vs Benoit. 3/5

So MVP kicks the crap out of Benoit...gets hit with 5 moves and loses...I swear I've seen this before.

 Batista vs Taker. 4/5

Clasic Big Man Power Brawl. Playing of Emtion (Even tho Detroit wasn't in to anything this night) of Taker'streak coming to an End. Good thing Dave steped up and didn't look like a complete tool like he usaly does. But man does Tista gets blown out fast.

ECW OGs vs The New Breed 1.9/5

I was surpised as all hell that the OGs won. WTF THE OGs WON! Now if it was Hardcore Match...that would have been sweet. And the teacher gets owned at the end. AND THE OGs WON! WTF!!!

BOTB: Well more like Battle of billionaire and millionaire. 3/5

A guy with a Lame thorwback gimmick vs a guy that is greener then 8 week old bread. Mix in a bunch of random crap and the biggest pop going to Trump = whatever. Stunner here, Stunner there. and Vince has a Chimp Head. I didn't give a **** about this match.

Diva Match. 0/5

No....just no....is Mickie vs Trish be the best Diva Match ever?

HBK vs Cena 3/5

I knew who was going to win....Only people that are high or in Vegas thought HBK was gonna win. Bassic Cena match just allot longer and that is it. Cena gets his ass kicked....Comes back and wins. Same as last year. But now HBK looks like a Punk ass.

Over all. 3/5

The Crowd gets a 1/5

They just sucked. Chi-Town wins again.

Did anyone else notice during the MITB match, just after Kennedy had done that move to the LB off of the ladder, and than finaly threw a latter in Kennedy face, just after that, there was a sign that said: For the Horde!

well that RKO off the ladder will be a new smackdown hot spot move you watch lol

and if i paid 50 dollars for a ppv id watch every last part of the show crappy or not aka kane khali and the diva match which considering its wrestlemania and ashley has been in OVW i beleive and appeared to have gotten a little better and melina hasnt been too bad and has put some good raw matches the match had a slight chance of being good. and if you pay 50 dollars well if i paid 50 dollars id watch every last second of the show.

did anyone notice how when kennedy went for his kenton bomb, his neck slammed against the ladder really hard and he just rolled off into the corner of the ring for about a minute. also his fireman carry thing off the ladder was very risky, he could have easily effed his neck up. things like that get me wondering what if the person who was planned to win a match gets badly injured and can't go on (say kennedy got mercury-ized) is there a plan B for the match?

MITB 3: *** Winner: Ken Kennedy

It was quite an exciting and unpredictable contest, mixed in with some insane spots that really acared me for a bit (Edge being carried out after the ladder spot with jeff) I thought it had humour, like when hoggswoggle went for glory and when punk was the last standing and going up the ladder, i thought he had it.

Kane Vs Khali: * 1/2 Winner: The Great Khali

Ok this was a pretty terrible match, but even so, this is probably Khalis best performance so far (amazingly). This is saved (slightly) by that body slam from kane, it was an incredible sight, and for me, is a real wrestlemania moment.

MVP Vs Benoit: **** Winner: Chris Benoit

I really wasnt expecting much, maybe just Benoit's technical prowess saving this match. but im shocked, MVP was incredible, and this guy has earned my respect. MVP was the definition of a wrestlemania performance. A great technical, mat wrestling match, and almost match of the night. Probably the best US title match in recent memory, and very almost MOTN

Taker Vs Batista: *** 1/2 Winner: Undertaker

Meh, i know alot of you guys are praising this, but it wasnt THAT good. excellent end though and great effort from both men.

Originals vs New breed: ** Winner: Originals

Too short to be entertaining. More filler then anything.

BOTB: ** 1/2

Meh match, but very funny climax, vinces reaction. was worth sitting through this trash and stone cold was hilarious

Diva match: I dont really care, didnt watch it

Cena Vs HBK: ****1/2 Winner: John Cena

Phenominal match, and even though he was carried throughout, a fine performance from cena aswell as HBK for carrying him. Best as a cena match can get, if cena does win. Lots of emotion, and the only match that had me screaming at the TV, at the climax as each man countered each others finishers and kicked out.

Yeah, but you also have to think that Kennedy could have been Plan B, as both Edge and Jeff Hardy were taken out of the match after that spot where they broke the ladder in half

Hmm, what do you know, that ladder spot really was insane.  Its amazing how many different ways Jeff Hardy can fall off of tall things and still be amazing.

Kennedy wasn't   a plan B TMIB is almost suppose to be a gateway to the next level and then you build them up. I mean lets be honest if the winner was already ready for the next step then the next step would be to run out there as soon as the Cena match was over with. The edge bump wasn't as bad as it looked. I would have picked Kennedy or CM Punk as thoose two look to be ready to go to the next level  (Punk needs to go to RAW) Kennedy makes an excellent heel in Smackdown.

I thought Wrestlemania sucked bad. I am glad I didn't buy it. Much kudos goes to Vince for following through with the head shave. There is one thing that blows my mind. That is why or how can a team be tag champs for over 15 months and not have a feature spot on the show? Is the booking team completely clueless on how to build a tag team or is it just a long running rib?

He wasn't implying that Kennedy was a Plan B. He was just wondering if there is a plan B for such a match. For instance, let's say he over-jumps the Green Bay Plunge off the ladder, lands on his head and paralyzes himself (which is a very real possiblity every time he does the move. The move is ridiculously dangerous). Was their a secondary plan? Would they have to improvise on the spot? Would the wrestlers stand their and stare at each other stupidly because Kennedy was in the next spot?  I've definately wondered about something similar, more about contigency plans for the Rumble than anything else.

One thing Triple H has exposed a couple of times now is that improvisation is not the WWE's strong suit in this type of situation. Both of his quad tears and the Elimination Chamber, while examples of Trips's amazing drive and toughness, also show that WWE doesn't handle this situation very well.

my guess is in that particular match people who are used to unstaged spots and have worked more "free" matches that arent 100% preplanned would step up and steal the show and get it going and would be quite capable of figuring it all out.

but if you were to have several guys like orton masters and carilito who havent had any real unscripted on air experience if one of them went down the remaining two would probably mess up badly especially in the ladder match if we had 6 people with similar experience like that they would probably screw up extremely bad. then again one of them might step up and make there careers take off b ut my guess is they wouldnt not with the current shape things are in

back in the 90s if some of forseen accident occured like that it probably wouldnt matter with more unscripted segments occuring it wouldnt really feel out of place like it would now and for that i would hope there would be a plan b in place to avoid the youngsters standing around like idiots.

for instance the hardys and edge probably would of taken over that show with there ladder experience and possibly cm punk since i hear hes so great they would be that safety net is my guess.

kayne2000
Yeah I would guess those would carry the match if that happened. Hardys would do some old spots of theirs and Jeff probably would come up with another big spot that will take him out of the match. CM Punk would be good, he got a 5 star match where most of the match was done unscripted. (the Observer rated it 5 stars, the most trusted review site for matches) As for the winner, my guess would be CM Punk or Orton.

[QUOTE="kayne2000"]

for instance the hardys and edge probably would of taken over that show with there ladder experience and possibly cm punk since i hear hes so great they would be that safety net is my guess.

Chicago_Nut
Yeah I would guess those would carry the match if that happened. Hardys would do some old spots of theirs and Jeff probably would come up with another big spot that will take him out of the match. CM Punk would be good, he got a 5 star match where most of the match was done unscripted. (the Observer rated it 5 stars, the most trusted review site for matches) As for the winner, my guess would be CM Punk or Orton.

Jeff really did insane moves in Wrestlemanias , first the Swanton Bomb on Bubba Ray from the ladder on the table . Now a leg drop on Edge on a ladder , Jeff is really a respected athlete and he did 1 other thing in the match : he ended Edge's Wrestlemania undefeated streak

well he was taken out of the match before it finished so Edge may say that he's never officialy "lost" a match at Wrestlemania

Plus Jeff is not to high on the "respected athlete list". Most people see him as the WWE version of AJ S-Tyles...a spot monkey.

I certainly do not see Jeff Hardy as one of the Top 5 workers in WWE.  Please, give AJ his props.

Sonjay Dutt, the name you're looking for is Sonjay Dutt.  Though, that one is a borderline insult to Jeff.

Ahh, you may have a point. Dutt is more accurate than Styles. I wasn't thinking, Guitar Hero has killed my wrist today :P

But the difference is **** can at least wrestle. Any backyard wrestler can do what Jeff does.

wow any backyarder can do what Jeff does? are you serious? listen dude unless you have gone into the ring and do what theese guys do i really wouldn't be comparing a backyarder who has no proper training to a professional who sometimes has to go back to back nights Like WM and Raw (hardy) Anybody who bust their tails to make it in this biz shouldn't be compared to a backyarder. Nothing against backyarders as I truley feel the tomarrow's stars are in the backyard just like football baseball and such and such........

To all about the plan b sorry if I misunderstood the comment. I don't know how the WWE runs in the back or has a backup I would like to believe that a booker would have sense enough to have a backup in a high profile match like a MITB match or elimination chamber. If it is that scripted as a lot of times it appears as it is I can see why a worker can get lost. I know I couldn't do that (local central fla indy worker here) Then again I am sure the ego is sky high and nobody wants another to upstage them I mean could you imagine if Kennedy who was booked to win got hurt and Booker T decided to win the match on his own??????? wow would that really fly with the fans I don't think it would but I love that gimmick :)

Come on be reasonable, he does flips and jumps off stuff. I could do that, I'm just not stupid enough to do something like that. The fact of the matter is he's garbage, plus Jack Evans makes him look like a b*tch.

the same can be said for foley but yet id be shocked if you could fall off the cell as often as he has and come back to tell about it? or his japanese death matches

or i doubt you could take that hardy dive and not kill yourself in the process?

really are you this stupid to think that anyone can do that and live through it?

to be honest. any backyarder could do any big spot from the WWE. unlike the WWE, they don't have padding and breakable ladders (which is what Edge was on cuz u could see the Ladder was already bending and showing) and have everything the safest it could possibly be. backyarders go out and jump off roofs and land on their asses. they are extremely stupid. Jeff Hardy is smarter tho cuz every spot is done the safest as possible. like the spots where they jump off the entrance ramp onto the electrical stuff on the bottom.

other than that, i don't respect Jeff. he has let the fans down to many times. if you've kept up with his career after he got fired from the WWE, then u'd know what i mean. and the fact that he's the guy that does big jumps and high spots, doesn't mean he deserves my respect. cuz we all know he's not doing it for the fans. he's made that pretty much clear. he likes the pay check and the attention and fame. if he could actually wrestle a decent match that didn't involve him purposely doing the biggest spot possible or just doing random flips like it means anything, then i'd respect him.

Jeff Hardy shouldn't have been rehired by the WWE. neither should have Matt Hardy.

there are a lot more talented guys that do BIGGER spots that get my respect. Jeff Hardy is considered tame in the overall spectrum of wrestling.

thought wrestlemania was 'good' this year, the 2 main events were better than last years but the money in the bank wasnt as good as last years, the ecw match got saved by RVD n the hair vs hair was good fun. also the womens match was pathetic compared to trish n mickie james last year.

but i'd still give it 7/10

unless your psychic you cant know that for sure

most on here didnt have high hopes for wrestlemania yet it got pretty good reviews using the logic this match looks bad ill skip it you should of skipped almost the entire show

and whats wrong with not really caring what all the fans think and want? hell if the guys in the charge of WWE cared what fans want things would be alot different maybe worse maybe better you cant fault hardy for not really caring so much what fans what and despite that he still gets cheered. and whos to say he cant actually wrestle i mean look at cena hes booked to win via the 5 moves of doom every match whos to say hardy isnt booked the same way? im sure he has some wrestling skill in there somewhere.

and im not really sure how he dissappointed you with his career track of coursei  havent really followed it religiously all i remeber hearing is he was in rehab and for someone in rehab hes doing a fine job getting back into the swing of things

though i agree backyarders are stupid even if it can be entertaining to watch really have to wonder why they do it its not like they can do it for more than 5 years and theres little to no glory behind it and i cant imagine the pay being great at all either.

it's pretty much a given that if the match doesn't involve Trish, Mickie, or Lita against one of the others, it will bomb. and even then, the match won't be great anyways.

thank you, you proved that the match did suck, unlike the person who thinks i'm sexist when i'm not
