Wow, that sucks. It's the first time I've heard of this.So I just ran into a nasty, I guess glitch. I was on that first mission of the gameand I died. I pressed A to load the game par usual, expecting to go back to the start of the mission. But the game just sat there, I was able to move the camera around and saw my team continuing to fight so it didn't freeze, it was just stuck. I pressed start and tried to manually load the last autosave and there was nothing there. So I quit game and came back in it to see that everything I did, importing my character, escaping the Cerberus base and all had been deleted. Anyone run into this glitch?

Does anyone know how high my Paragon has to be in order to regain Jack's loyalty?
I've filled up 4 full bars on Paragon and have just started the final one but it wont give me the Paragon option when I speak to her. Any help would be appreciated. :)
DJSAV_101
Not sue but I think you need 100% paragon to regain her loyalty, and you need at least 80% when Jack and Miranda have their fight to not lose anyone's loyalty.
Its... an amazing game! I just didnt like planet scanning and it could bit a bit longer - but nevertheless its awsome with a very nice written and unpredictable story.
I loved the part where
Geth - Legion
joins your team. Awsome!
ME3 is a must buy and how awsome is it that it's gonna be released sometime next year (they are looking at a date in Q1).
Can anyone please tell me if you ever unlock or find an optional sniper rifle, also will I ever be able to use the claymore shotgun that grunt uses? BTW I am a soldier class.

You can find the Viper Sniper in Dantius Towers and you can get the Widow Sniper when
you're in the collector ship and you're offered a specialisation
I don't think you can get the claymore shotty, but maybe what's mentioned in the spoiler is the answer to that too.
If you need any more help, take a look at the place in my sig.
I think my ME2 profile glitched. After you complete the game you have 2 options. To continue the game or to restart a new game with the same level and equipment with an option to change you're class. Well, once I finished my 2nd play through I selected the 2nd option and when I do so. I'm the same class as I was before without any option menus asking if I want to select a different class. Is this a glitch I've encountered?
There are a few things I'd prefer changed about ME2.
The person that mentioned the enemies, I agree with. Mass Effect 2 didn't seem to stay in one place. It couldn't decide if you were fighting the Blue Suns, other mercs, The Reapers, The Collectors.
One moment you've got tons of hate for the collectors, then you learn their dark little secret and you're thinking.. Okay. So the reapers are the bad guys.
But there really wasn't ANYTHING to do with the reapers in there.. Minus the final battle and ending cutscene ofcourse.
Also, it'd be nice to be given an upgrade that makes the Planet Scanner a tad bit bigger. Get it done quicker?
I tend to just buttonmash LT and move around the planet. Constantly slam on the Left Trigger and move about and when you see the thing spike, go back and actually hold it down and search. Works pretty well but it's still rather time consuming.
Also, the inventory. I like it. It's good.. Mass Effect 1 was WAY too cluttered. But on the other hand.. They also had it right. I enjoyed going from Shop to Shop on different planets and looking for the big beastie weapons and armour. Best of the Best. Then you finally happen upon the Spectre gear.. and start saving. Then once you've said, you get that satisfaction of buying and using your long awaited weapon/armour.
Mass Effect 2 has a good SYSTEM for Inventory. But there aren't enough weapons and armour.
As far as I've seen.. Theres 2 shotguns, 2 AR's, 2 Snipers, 2 Handguns, 2 Subs. That's it..
Also the special ones found on the collector ship. But that requires playing through 3 times to get all 3.
I like the system. But it needs more variety. That's what it's lacking. A lovely mesh of the two would be absolutely perfect. I'm sure many would agree.
One other thing that I can't stress enough.
GRENADES!
I want my grenades back.
I can't count the amount of times I've seen an enemy behind cover and thought "I'll throw a gren- OH wait."
I mean do we REALLY need two different buttons designated to the same thing? I'm speaking of the Compass Buttons ofcourse.
Clicking both Left and Right analog in does the SAME thing. Is that necessary?
Why not designate one and give me my damn grenades back ¬¬
It's not like I'm asking for a whole range of grenades. Anywhere from Incen to Cryo. I just want a regular grenade!
Mass Effect 2 is an amazing game, that I will not deny. One of my all time favourites. But it is not without fault, no game is.
If they fixed those problems, I'd have nothing to complain about.
I love everything else. Especially the achievements (:
I think Bioware are just being nice because of how difficult the ME1 achievements were.

I think it had a Krogan shotgun, but I think only Grunt could use it. (maybe Shepard could use it, because mine learned to sniper)Just beat the game and am going in for round 2. I have a couple of questions before I start however. Im going to play on Insane, so if I start a brand new character, does this increase my chances of reaching level 30? Also, if I were to restart the game with the same Shepard I used before, I assume I would have to use the same class which would make it so I couldnt get certain achievements such as the Overload and Warp ones since I was a vanguard? One last question, how do you get the Tactician achievement? Thanks in advance.

(maybe Shepard could use it, because mine learned to sniper) I doubt you can ever use it since in the description it says the recoil is strong enough to break your arm or something like that.About the second question- unlike the first game, you can use other squad members for the Overload/Warp/Incinerate achievements. So you can use the same class the second time around. For Tactician I used Pull on an enemy with Shepard then immediately used Slam with Miranda on the same enemy straight after.Just beat the game and am going in for round 2. Im was about 12 hours into ME2 before I got the Red Ring of death. Im waiting for my new console. Loooongest 2 weeks of my life!!!!!!
Another questions. If I were to re-use my same Shepard (as in the one I beat with both ME1 and ME2) would I be able to then you him on insanity and change his class? Or would I have to stay a Vanguard? Because while I really dont want to stay a Vanguard, I don't want to go back to a level one, it seems like a pick your poison kind of deal.
Is there some sort of free DLC tomorrow?ChiddalingYes armor and a longer range shotgun. I can't wait to get that armor! http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-4332-More-Free-Mass-Effect-2-DLC-on-The-Way-Tomorrow.html
Playing my second playthru with a different imported Shepard going for an ultimate Renegade. Love how how their eyes turn red and the face gets heavily scarred and with a Heavy Reave power you feel like Darth Vader when your victims are writhing in pain, struggling for their lives. And the booty is a nice addition....
lol i went through that before i got the red ring of death right on the day of the cod 4 launch i was pretty pissed off and i waited three weeks too.Im was about 12 hours into ME2 before I got the Red Ring of death. Im waiting for my new console. Loooongest 2 weeks of my life!!!!!!

Say what?
The game would not be very good if it was rushed like so.
Graphics will be the same, they said that they will only make minor adjustments to planets and people. So they just need to build scenarios - which shouldn't take to long. You know what would be really cool for the Mass Effect series? If you could change Shepard's accent. I realize the improbability of this but I always thought he sounded kind of like a tool. Plus it would be hilarious to make an angry russian Shepard.:D
I'm replaying ME 1 (Insanity) and the combat & framerate are terrible compared to the sequel. The game runs like utter crap :( It's a night and day difference- I encountered more bugs in an hour of Mass Effect 1 than 30+ hours of Mass Effect 2. I give credit to Bioware for fixing everything wrong with the first game, there was so much to fix.

I would pick that conversation option everytime.
Epic Sauce is all I can say about this game. One of the best experience I ever had. I ended up losing Thane (Nooooooooooo!) Legion and Zaeed. On a side note during Samara's loyalty mission, does the sound cut out at the end there for anyone else? Is it suppose to do that?Sepewrath
Yes. The sound does cut out for me. It sorta sucks.
can you use the same character from me1 but change their class in me2? i'm a vanguard but don't want to be!!!!

Ok, I wish we could hear what they were saying, it would have made the choice more impactful. I mean we did only get one side of the story, one side painted as a hero, the other as a merciless serial killer. What would really be the choice there? Speaking of choices, the only snide I could have against this game is the loyalty system was too static. They made it basically a pass/fail situation. Take Zaeed
He was chasing that guy for 20yrs and since I chose to help the workers along the way, his target escaped. Now Zaeed flipped and pretty much said, he wasn't going to go out on the limb for me. I thought I had blown his loyalty mission and he wouldn't be loyal, but low and behold, he was loyal anyway. All I had to do was complete the mission. I think they should have made the loyalty based on the decision you made, if the choice doesn't vibe with the character i.e. choosing to save some random people Zaeed could care less about, over killing the target. You shouldn't gain thier loyalty. if the loyalty thing returns in the next game, I hope they make it more organic
Also after beating the game, I felt something I would have loved to have seen is class choices. Take this for example from the endgame
I was playing an Infiltrator and we got to the base with everyone intact and we had to send someone to unlock a door. I sent Thane because he was the best infiltrator obviously(and I didn't want to send Tali or Legion) but as an Infiltrator, I had both the sneaking skill(Come on, I can be literally invisible lol) and I have the tech skills. I would have loved to have been able to choose to go myself since it was so dangerous and I had the necessary tools. It would be cool if in a spot like that, because of your class you could do it, in an effort to protect your team.
Its funny after beating the game and having that thought. I read the Game Informer article on New Vegas and they actually have a system similar to that, but it seems that it is more tied into speech challenges than anything else.So when is the actual DLC coming out??? and san someone please tell me where i can get the N7 gamer picture in the marketplace? i cannot find it!!

Are you talking about this pic?
If so you can unlock it by beating the game on insane difficulty on Mass Effect 1.

if you really want to hear what samera(right?) is saying just put on the sub titles.. but it doesn't really matter spoiler (if you side with her you die and it's game over).
and with the loyalty thing, when you choose to save the people and zaede gets po'ed he wont be loyal to you unless you have enough paragon or renegade to convince him. There are situations throught the game that go like that, for example when tali and legion have that argument, without enough par/reg you will loose the loyalty of one.
