how do you start missions in mass effect 2? I suck at this game! I rescued Garrus and i just persuaded the scientist to join me. Im back on the normandy at the galaxy map. I see a few quests in my journal like report to the citidal and rescuing a prisoner from a prison ship but i have no idea how to start the missions???

You find their locations on the galaxy map and travel there.

If you're still stuck, join MEU (in sig) and we'll give you a hand.

Hey guys, I have a problem here. For some reason, I can't do Jacob's Loyaty mission. I tried to go to the planet that he told me to go, but It won't let me land it, which is weird. Is anyone having this problem? If so, how do you fix it?

btw i think Jane is a female, but i have been wrong before, so who knows?

there is no new game + for ME1 i assume? :(MethodManFTW

its not a +, but u can use the same shepard for more than one playthru...cuz i think it is mathematically impossible to get to lvl 60 in one go(it took me three times to get to 60)

alrite got a few more questions... if wrex died my first game on this save file, and lives the second time... will he be alive when import my save data to mass effect 2? also, my first play through there was no romantic interest with any of the characters... is that because i never had any chicks in my party, or is it based on text choices?MethodManFTW

Each playthrough gets a unique save for ME2. So if you kill Wrex, he's dead. If he lives, he lives.

To get a romance you have to talk to your chosen at regular intervals (usually after each main mission)

Sometimes you don't have to scan the planet but still get the option to, which can be confusing. Before you start scanning mode see if there's an option to land... or if there's no option to land start scanning.

i'm yet to even but ME2(i know dont scream at me i have exams and my folks are not buyin it for me just yet) but ive finish ME1 some 3 times and i recently started a new game but whenever i start a new game all my old save games dissappear.........so my latest game is still on that frozen planet(forgot the name) so what do i do. do i finish ME1 again and then import or do i just play ME2 without importing and how will eithter decision affect the gamerevanredem

I actually got to 56 in my first play through. I landed on every planet you could.

If you got a affair started with her and all of a sudden, she up and starts to give you an artic blast attitude, its becasue you sliped up and tried to go after an additional / seperate team mate.

This aint the Playoy Mansion here. (heh heh!) This is deep space where people remember what you say to them and how you treat them.

Ya gotta be careful becasue sometimes the writers of this game will outflank you! Be careful what ya say :-) to EVERYBODY! :-)

Id wager you might have tried to scan the planet and took on minerals from your scan, and THEN attempted a landing? If so, the just come back later. WAY later. Like last or near last on your team gathering list objectives.

I hope this will work for you, I had the same KIND of issue, but with ME, I was with my girl Jack.

Weapon question -

For the heavy weapon CAIN, I'm having problems firing it. Use the left trigger to aim and right to fire and it always spits out air. It's also 100% charged. What am I doing wrong? Frustrating!

u have ammo for it?

at max capacity(aka fully upgraded) the CAIN can only shoot twice...maybe u dont have enough juice to shoot it once...idk, thats just my guess

-How do I upgrade weapons?

Just beat it, and it was epic. I loved everything . . . except for the planet scanning. I missed the Mako!

I hope they bring it back somehow for the next game.

I've just purchased ME1 as it was only £7.99 from Gamestation. I'm not a big RPG fan but took the plunge with this. I must say I am enjoying it so far. Great characters and story. Yes the combat feels a bit clunky but I forgive it.

How long roughly do you think it will take to complete if you mainly stick to the main story line? I will do some side quests to try and gain some more credits for upgrades etc... but will mostly concentrate on the main plot.

Once I finish the story I will look to then buy ME2. By that time the price will probably come down a bit as well. lol

u have ammo for it?

when I used it, I usually had it at about 150 percent or so, then you have to hold it to charge and when it fires, it basically destroys everything--pretty sweetKeredsBlaze

Upgrade weapons by finding or buying schematics from various shops/missions/interactions. You need Mordin in your group before you can start doing this.

There are dozens of different armour sets around the game, many stores have new bits. There is also two full special sets you get from either DLC or Dragon Age.

You scan planets to find materials that you use to upgrade your weapons, crew and ship.

Indicently, all this is explained in the booklet that comes with the game. Have you seen those things? They're great, they've got words in them and everything.

LOL. but i am still yet to start ME2 and im wondering, whats the point in upgrading your ship. does it make a difference in the suicide mission or what. because its not like we're gonna fight using the ship. are we?
