Gamespot now has a video showing the system itself, it indeed does have an ethernet port, that eases my mind a bit

To Soul Reaper...The PS3 price drop wasn't the only thing that helped boost sales a year ago, it was the redesign. People like smaller more effecient devices and by redesigning the 360 Microsoft hopes help re-sell a system that has been plagued by the RROD and the new features like 250g hard drive and WiFi built in, it will only help justify the price along side the competitors. For those people out there who don't already own a 360 this will be the system to get and it also looks really nice when paired with the Kinect. Lets just hope the new redesign is solid and dependable.

nahh - waste of money. i already have mw2 bundle and its amazing so its not worth it. ill maybe get the new xbox comign in the later years.

Except that most of us don't need a new HDD, don't need a new warrenty because ours systems are fine, and I'm sure a lot of us either prefer matte or don't care about finish.

Its tempting because of the 250 GB cause I am stuck with 20GB right not and Xbox hard drives are crazy expensive compared to standard CPU hard drives, but im goin with no cause I already have one that works at this point in time

I don't know... not for a while I guess. I JUST bought a new arcade because my old pro got the RROD a couple months ago.... so i'm pretty pissed, naturally. God I want that frickin' slim. Jesus... I just can't get over it.

Other than the face that I don't like calling it "slim". Yeah, I'm definitely getting one, probably in a bundle with Kinect later this year.

I'm really tempted to sell my current 360 and buy the slim like this week (mostly for the built in wifi), but I'm going to have to see some unboxings, feedback, and reviews before I decide, so it is a maybe for me.

Been wanting to get a new 360 for awhile. Mine gets the E74 message about every other day and im tired of it.

So the old ones wont work with kinect ? the slim looks great but I dont see anyreason to get a new one if you have an older one, though selling an unbanned 360 might fetch a good price these days ha ha ptown58

It depends. I wouldn't trade in my current 360 unless either I would get alot of money for it and the Wireless Adapter (since the new system has built-in Wi-Fi), or if Gamestop has some kind of special offer.

I woudl love one, but I dont have 300 dolalrs laying around right now. So ill have to wait. Anyway, I wonder if them giving it to the press is going to effect creadibility and all that when talking about the conference?

I've been waiting for the redesign with included wifisince the original launched. I plan on getting this very soon. Paying $100 for a wifi dongle was the biggest rip off in gaming. Now, I have no excuse.

My old Elite RROD'ed and I bought a replacement Arcade about 5 or 6 months back, so it looks like I won't be getting the new model. Maybe if they have a nice bundle or drop the price a little while down the road I'll look into getting it, but I just can't justify selling my current Xbox for the new one right now, especially since I'll be getting a Wii very soon.

I really like the new 250GB model, though. Hopefully it solves the noise issue. It's a little annoying that it's not compatible with the old 360 hard drives, though.

Im hoping EB will do a trade in deal for like trading in a 250GB Elite and like 100 bucks for the new Xbox or something like they did with the PS3 slim and all the new DS models

If I was making more money and didnt have bills, then yes. I would love to have the new 360, but I think the one I have now will do just fine. I just cant believe the people at the press conference got a free one. Just goes to show you how much money Microsoft has to blow

I don't know. I think it's a pretty nice looking console, I love the piano finish and the new touch buttons, plus wifi is greatand the draw sounds alot smoother when it opens. But there's also something about itI don't like.

So not worth it. My 360 with 250GBHD works fine and does the same thing except the Kinect port. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! If they wanted a postive outcome they should have surpassed the PS3 and required the release of new games that could handle the graphics engine.:(
