My Xbox 360 with 120GB hard-drive and Wi-Fi adapter works, so no. Plus I kinda prefer the old Xbox 360 design to the new one.
i say h#ll no, the 360 i have now i just got done fixing the e74 erroer and making my own vents in the case( the right way no towel BS) n this is the 3rd 360 ive goten after this one dies again im done with xbox for good sry MS but to little WAYYY to late in my eyes....
I think I would if my 360 when up in smoke however i probably wouldn't go crazy for one right off the bat tho.
[QUOTE="Phoenix534"][QUOTE="slvrraven9"] new wattenty = 120 bucks alone....plus bigger hdd 120 bucks....plus new shiny finish (spray paint = 5 bucks!)slvrraven9
Except that most of us don't need a new HDD, don't need a new warrenty because ours systems are fine, and I'm sure a lot of us either prefer matte or don't care about finish.
1. its an Xbox 360, "everyone" wants that extra reassurance that everything will be ok should it RROD. (even though hopefully weve seen the end of it) so i think that extra 3 years would be welcome to most of us who have had RROD before. 2. some of us (such as myself) hasnt adopted into a bigger HDD so im still running off my standard 20 gig from launch so after 5 years you can safely assume i DESPERATLY need a bigger hdd 3. the shiny finish.......it just looks better! (in my opinion) Of course most of these points are my personal views on the situation and by no means speaks for anyone else. im merely assuming.I'm running on a 20GB system too. Out of warranty and nearly out of space. I could use a new HDD, but that what I have USB sticks for. I do have to admit though. The more I see it, the more I'm liking the design. If mine breaks then I'll probably pick one of these up. If not, who knows.
[QUOTE="nate_c-12"]Nope. I would switch if the current hard drives could some how fit in the new design but since not I'll keep my 250gb 360. bessy67
Is it confirmed that the current hard drives won't work with it? If that's the case, then that's incredibly stupid of Microsoft.
so the new one comes with a 250gig hard drive which is the largest capacity you can get for the existing one so why would you want to change same capacity hard drives over thats very stupid!!, you can already recover gamercards from live and im sure if you want to buy a new one but already have an 360 im sure there will be a data transfer kit.
And for everybody else on here if you do have a 360 then dont buy one its that simpleim sure this is going to be marketed for new customers and those who just want a new model andnot marketed for existing users.
as soon as i found out when its coming to the uk yes. my current one is dead and i was going to pick an elite up tomorrow :ORichymisiakIt is released on 16 july in UK.
not until this one breaks. than i will sell my network adapter and some old games.
i like the new design, because it reminds me of the original xbox. and it wll match my ps3. and built in wifi.
but probably no. if i do, it will be when this one breaks.
I think alot of people here don't realize they can sell their current console back to any game retailer and pick up some store credit so it will give them a bit of a discount when buying the new console. I'm going to sell my elite back to GameStop or some company without the 120gb HDD(in order to transfer my stuff) and then sell the HDD after I get the new console.
:o
The guys at Destructoid have discovered that it is not in your best interests to pick up a 360 Slim while it's running a game. Take a look here.
Seriously, what kind of numpty does that with any non portable DVD reader?
the only reason i'd get one is if my current one craps out..
wifi and 250 gig harddrive are nice but the shininess reminds me too much of the PS3.
yes, but before I what to see if he have some problems for two month, if he have a problem I will what for a new version, if he don't have I will buy the xbox 360 Slime and the Kinect.
yes as I don't have one :D(please, no one shout at me for browsing this part of the forum :P)
I was originally going to pick 360 over the PS3 but then the RROD kinda frightened me off...now the problem has been solved!!! :D
No, I think people know that, but why would you? You'll only get a little over $100, so you'll still have to give them a 360, HDD, 1 controller AND $200 (give or take) to pick up a new one if that's the route you choose to take. No thanks.I think alot of people here don't realize they can sell their current console back to any game retailer and pick up some store credit so it will give them a bit of a discount when buying the new console. I am kind of undecided on it.. I have my old 360.. I had a 2005 launch model, that broke in 2006, but my extended 3 year warranty from microsoft got that one fixed. Then that one broke again and I got it replaced in 2007, and then that one broke and I got it replaced in 2008. And I am using the 2008 model right now.
I'll probably get one within the year since I still have the original Pro model with a mere 20GB HDD. I keep getting RROD and I believe the free replacements Microsoft has been doing expires soon, so I might as well upgrade to a *hopefully* RROD-resistant model.
I have never owned a 360; however, I must say that now is the time for me to get one 100%. I will be joining the ranks of you 360 gamers soon, so I hope to see you guys online.
