NXE Problems and Complaints Sticky

am I doing something wrong? My avatar hasn't showed up on my gamer card, and its been like 6 days. They told me to wait, that it might take awhile but its already been 6 days.

The gamer card updates all my recent played games, I've played online like 3 times since I made the avatar, so it should be no reason it shouldn't update to the gamer card.

no, i was playin Left 4 Dead on Live last night.

i dunno if its just coincidence but i DLed it the day it came out, today i was playin Fable 2 and the graphics went crazy so i turned the game off. now my 360 is f'ed up. i got a red light in the lower right circle of the power button, and it just shows an error screen. my damn 1 year warranty JUST expired too. like i said, may be coincidence but i guess ill never know....demonlord6696

i am actually really happy with nxe besides some points that include not being able to jump straight to the game you have in the 360.

but the main problem that i really care about is the lag and random things that are going down.

I have been playing GOW2 a lot latley and ever since i have gotten nxe it has majorly lagged everyonce and a while and today my 360 froze for the first time. so i am kinda scared

I can't for the life of me figure out how to set a profile to auto log in on the NXE.  

THey shouldn't have changed things locations so much.

Go to the Guide, the Settings blade, Profile, Auto Sign in. 

Wow, I feel like a total moron now.

I had remembered that it was under profile settings, but I couldn't find that earlier.

I hate how when you start up the console, it will start up on the "Spotlight" page and not on the "My Xbox" page. I wish you could hide it or alter that like on the welcome pagekart_racer

Yea, i got my 360 just last november and have NEVER had one problem, lock up, or game freeze one time. and now my 360 is dead?

I am trying to change my Windows Live ID associated with my account, I know it's possible via xbox as there is an option for it. But when I go to the option it says "Unable to connect to Xbox Live" - this is when I am actually connected to it. So I popped over to xbox.com to try and change it on there, but the Contact Information page doesn't even work as well... (https://live.xbox.com/en-GB/accounts/ContactInformation.aspx). So I phoned up a geezer at xbox technical support, I was on my mobile for 17 minutes and it cost me 8 quid to get the most useful advice asking me to delete the gamertag off my xbox and then try restoring it and then try to change my windows live ID on my xbox again. As with all customer service advice, it never ever works and is never the problem. He gave me another number to ring but I have 89p and it still wont ring because of the pathetically high rate call charges. I've come here for advice in the hope to get it, why couldn't he just change it manually over the phone or something? ;s

When my console RROD after NXE I felt like Robinson Crusoe. Now I don't know if I'll fit on the island it looks rather full.

At least MS have given me a reason to want a PS3.

hi I was wondering if someone could help me out. I like to listen to music on my 360 while I play. so the old xbox experience let me hook up my mp3 to the xbox and listen no problem. but the nxejust says loading ive waited for half an hour at one point and it still says loading any help?metaknight36

I dnt see hw everybody is complaining here, u americans are jst afriad of change, jst like u wer afraid of gettin a black president for a change, the new design is far better looker and better designed than the very plain an outdated blades, i agree that the avatars have limited choice but hopefully there will be content updated regulary, the people who say that there games end up crashin or jst wenver its supposed to start the game after loading an it goes black, that isnt because of the nxe, its because of ur disc coz this has happened to both my halo 3 and gtaiv disc BEFORE the nxe came out, and the one who is complaining about the red ring of death, it isnt coz of the nxe its jst coz nearly all microsoft hardware is faulty so its total coincidince

Good luck with the repair! Hope you've already sent it in since the three-year warranty doesn't cover this problem. Unless, yours is dead by RROD. Mine just reached the service center today.

I played online with some friends the Night before launch, but ever since the NXE I can't join parties and can't voice chat Private or any other kind. I basically can't play anything online. It says there's a connection fail. So I tested my connection and it was strong. I used the same connection for 2 years now and played online without any mishaps. cotton1229

I've had some major problems with this. Does it tell you that your NAT is moderate or Strict? Test your connection again........ When the pop up screen shows up telling you there is a problem with your connection, click into it. That should tell you exactly what's wrong. If your NAT is moderate or strict, you may have problems doing the things you mentioned. That's why I think it's your NAT. If it is your NAT then you'll need to either buy a new, "Xbox Live compatible" router(which I own and I still had this problem) or do some port forwarding on your router. It's a really annoying process but it can fix it.

Oh and is anyone having any problems with Netflix? When I go into it, it says that the service is temporarily down. It's been showing me this for a few days now....

i hate how it freezes now thats the only thing i dont likewwedx
