Create your team mates feature, more force powers, more feats, more cutomisation, more weapons, more story, more different planets...something along those lines for new ideas...But the best idea is that they just ***** release KOTOR 3 on X360 so I can play a decent game that will keep me entertained for a few months. I also hope they see this thread because then they would understand that I ***** need KOTOR 3 on X360.

i never thought about creating your own team mates that would be sick. id like it as an option though since i definitely like npc team mates with cool histories etc ;) . but definitely that would kick ***.

I would have preferred an actual single-player game that continued the unfinished story rather than another stupid WoW clone.UT_Wrestler

This would have been my idea for a KOTOR III game

Story: The game will take place ten years after the events of KOTOR II you play as a student of The Jedi Outcast from KOTOR II and you are sent out into the galaxy to find Revan and help him beat "The True Sith Lords".

Gameplay: Gameplay would be the same with more ofrce powers, feats, weapons etc. but also allow force powers to be used on certain pbjects for additonal damage (force push a fuel canister to an enemy). In conversations have a system like Alpha Protocol were you will have a certain amount of time to make a response that way you can prevent awkyard pauses and it would also be cool if people would actually say your name and if you had a voice as well.

Graphics: Just use an updated version of the Mass Effect engine.

Additional Features: Allow devleopment for your charater's backstory,a dynamic character creation system, and the abillity to make one "friend" character that is a fellow student that will be very important character to the story and will change the story based on how you make that character.

Things I would like them to keep: The influence system from KOTOR II was cool but very poorly implemented and as long as they would keep the story 30-40 hours long then I will be happy.

[QUOTE="hughami"][QUOTE="KorruptRaiden"][QUOTE="hughami"] i dont understand.......but yeah i wouldnt have blamed you for playing it while your friends were over lol.

just emphasising the brilliance of the game. That is all. Maybe they could hand the star wars rights over to square enix, and we beg them to make a game, im sure they could come up with a mad story for it.

i still didnt get it lol the "just bring one out" part. what games have square enix made? i think any company wouldnt be able to resist making kotor since it would be such a huge success, as long as they do it right and take in our ideas ;) . seriously though, anyone else have ideas or things they'd like to see in kotor 3?

Basically was saying that they should just bring out a KOTO3 lol

How could Lucas Arts not see that KOTOR 3 would sell very well? KOTOR 1 and 2 were both given so much praise and game of the year awards, most of us thought it would be a no brainer to make KOTOR 3. Afterall, the storyline revolving around Revan is still incomplete. Not to mention, there are also other storylines in the KOTOR series that are still incomplete. Does the republic rebuild itself? Will the last remaining Jedi unite and fight back? What happens to the other KOTOR characters you've grown to like? What about Bastilla? Carth? HK-47? Mandalore? What happens to these people? Aren't you interested to find out what happens to these characters? I know I am. This story needs closure! Not only is KOTOR considered by many to be one of the best RPG games on the original XBox, but also considered by many a great game that will be remembered and talked about for a long time. Even today, we still talk about the KOTOR series. The Knights of the Old Republic gave us an excellent story that both Star Wars fans and RPG fans craved for. The choices we made in that game could not only effect the outcome of missions, but could also influence the ending. It was certainly unlike any other game we've ever played up until this point in time. It truly was in a league of its' own back then. I'm just stunned that there hasn't been a sequel to this series on this generation's console. Judging from this post, it appears there would certainly be a majority of people willing to play KOTOR 3.

Oh damn is this still Hughami's post...HELL YEH! LETS KEEP IT ALIVE! creating your own character doesn't have to change the NPCs history, they could just let you change what their pre-made NPCs look like...For instance in KOTOR 2 you had Bald... what ever the hell his name was the gray guy with the bot he talks to...yeh him, they should let you customise hair types and other features but keep his story the same. Or better yet they could do both, let you create one or two allies that have a story in the game as well and let some of the allies be pre-made NPCs. More customisation for weapons, think what they could do now...could really change a lot of different parts of the guns and sabers to make them look the way you want and change the effect of attacks...for instance a blaster shooting red lasers into a plasma cannon shooting out blue bursts of energy that can melt NPCs on kill...or better yet a weapon setting that lets you shoot both at the same time. More planets ocean, beach, cities, forest, jungles, volcanic, barren, ruins, SNOW, themed levels...I love levels that have weather effects like Rain and Snow more of them. A variety of different looking cities some rural cities some highly developed cities. Beach and ocean themed levels would be nice, volcanic and caves maybe the worst but more of them, ruins of ancient civilsations, barrens and deserts...but most of all a god damn snow level because I like snow. Lol. More death physics and effects like gore...maybe not so much but it would be nice to see bodies breaking from force powers or something...enviromental effects...as I said I want bloody SNOW and RAIN, however I would just like to see effects in the air...I don't know maybe glowing spores or something on some random planet we have never seen before. A better god damn ship would be nice, one that has more then one gun...It would be brilliant if you could customise your ship a little..very unlikely to happen, would like another HQ though, like a base or something. Force Powers and abilities and levels I want more and more ways to customise your character More story instead of just four planets have about 10 it can be done...the story should have more then 2 endings, a combination of about 6 big events in the game with each with each event having AT LEAST 2 ways of solving them so as to alter the way the game ends...more sidequests of course would be nice and maybe some more rewards for being good, evil or staying neutral. Customise those god damn robots the only one i like is the orange one, would like to make his arm into a chain blaster or something. That bloody little grey one has nothing but a blaster, dump that bucket and get a real robot one with god damn rocket launcher o his back or something. And also for story same gender relatioships...I am leaning more towards female only for this one, but yeh. Lol. Bloody NPCs that help you like in the first one at the end you got some back up..even though they were bloody useless some backup would be nice in some battles. A.I. better, programmed to attack each other sometimes that would be nice. More dialog options not always involving good or evil but Chotic and Lawful as well. .....(pant)........(pant)......and a god damn choice whether you want to be a Jedi....(pant)....(drop)...Lol. That would all be nice. ....(pant....(pant)....and lastly no ****** MMO!......(death)...............

I dont like many MMO's, but hearing from Bioware that this will be the first MMO with a fantastic story line made em super excited.

Also they announced that this MMO for KOTOR will have enough missions/gameplay for 9 KOTOR singleplayer games. Can you belive that?? Enough missions to do 8-9 KOTOR singleplayer games!!!

I seriously cant wait to play this game with friends!!

At first i was very dissapoiinted in the new KOTOR being an MMO, but with Bioware behind it and the fact taht its going to have enough content for 9 KOTOR campaigns is fantastic!

Ill be getting this on day one for sure!@ Looks to be a masterpeice!

At fisrt i thought they where ruining one of my fav rpg series for a WORLD OF WARCRAFT clone. But the fact taht Bioware is concentrating on the story and amount of content in the game makes me VERY happy. This game will be like KOTOR1 and 2, just youll be able to play it witha friend or two!!!

*They also announced that if you want to, you can do 98% of hte game by yourself,so you dont have to find a huge party to party up with to play the game*

valid points but a huge amount of kotor fans hate mmo's, they arent any where near as good as rpg storylines and they dont have player-centrality, you have to pay ridiculous monthly fees, you have to have expensive computers, consoles are preferred by many kotor fans over pcs, you have to have a really good internet connection, and the original kotors were rpgs, not mmos, and it shouldve stayed that way, while this TOR game could have been made entirely seperate. plus instead of fighting with revan to defeat the true sith and be the main character of the story, youll be one of 1000's of others fighting the true sith without revan, and not getting to discover them.

Same here, except I don't like any MMOs. I'll be interested to see if BioWare can do something really different with this genre.

We'll see. It seems to me there has to be dungeons that only large parties can raid. Otherwise, what are all the max-level players going to do with themselves?

I've been enjoying kotor on computers more, but mostly because that was how I first got exposed to them; didn't have an xbox until very late, and by the time I did get one, the 360 was already out. And yes, I too get frustrated with the fact that the game seems to want me to join up with about 60 people just to wipe my own ass without getting killed half a dozen times by the enemies.

i got my xbox when i was 8 and the 360 came out a few years after and they stopped making games for xbox it was lame. i just got kotor 2 for pc yesterday and now i know why i like console games better lol pc games are a hassle i ony got it to do mods but they werent working and the game wouldnt load so now i have to wait 4 days for my dad to to help me with it lol. but the reason you mentioned is a huge reason why mmos are whack. plus, have you seen the pics on the TOR website? the carachters are hella cartoonish its retarded man.

Quite frankly I would rather have a Knights of the Old Republic III. This is the way I see things: The first two KotOR games were all about giving the player the opportunity to make influential and far-reaching decisions -- to shape the world as he or she wished. Massively multiplayer online role-playing games, by their very definition, have to be careful not to let any one player character -- whether level one or level eighty -- have too much power or influence. Therefore, I can't help but wonder how Bioware will reconcile this fundamental part of an MMORPG, with the pedigree and legacy of the other two KotOR games. Am I wrong? (Don't get me wrong -- I love Bioware, and I love their games and the stories that give those games meaning, but I can't help but wonder if and how Bioware will circumvent the issues noted in the previous paragraph.)

The Old Republic is garbage it's not even worth giving a chance. I'm tired of game developers turning great single player games into MMOs. Warcraft is the obvious example of this. MMOs just aren't fun anymore and with the economy the way it is people aren't going to keep playing these MMOs forever.

do you mean like a new story era? i mentioned that it would be cool to have a storyline set in one of these eras: the great hyperspace war, the sith war, or the mandalorian wars. the star wars galaxy is huge their are tons of awesome possibilities.

i think they think that they can be greedy lol. such a lame move to make with a franchise like kotor, lucasarts screwed up kotor 2 by rushing obsidian and blame them, then screw everyone over by having an mmo made theyre a bunch of money hungry dbags.

Thank goodness that we can do hundreds of things with the Star Wars universe and a KOTNR would be very cool but we should finish the Old Republic story arc first.

Actually the KOTOR story is finished...it pretty much tells you what happens after in KOTOR 2...I heard TOR has the desendants of the characters from KOTOR but not the actual KOTOR characters themselves...as I said before though.....Don't want another god damn MMO...like I haven't experienced enough MMOs. I just want either a KOTOR 3 or a KOTNR whatever the hell you guys called it...so long as it isn't a bloody MMO, I would like it. I wouldn't mind but its been ages since KOTOR 2, and after waiting for so long they finally tell us yeh we are making TOR...I say "HELL YEH! I AM BUYING THIS GAME!" and then they say at the end "YEH! ITS AN MMO" and then I call them all a bunch of ******** for not making my KOTOR 3. and thats pretty much what happened.

Yeah but what about the "True Sith Lords" KOTOR III would have to continue from there but KOTNR would be cool and could take place a few years after Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi.

yeah we know what happens kinda in kotor 2, revan goes into the unknown regions and he's looking for "the true sith" that he and malak encountered in the mandalorian wars, and in kotor 2 the exile goes to help revan. although that might not be true since their is a choice, in the end of kotor 2 i always said i would go fight with revan and i was dark side as always ;) , but in kotor 2 revan is said to have changed to the light side by default so i dunno. in TOR the plot is that you (and 1000's of others :| ) face the true sith 400 or 500 years after the events of kotor 2. in a youtube vid from kotor 2, mandalore a.k.a. canderous tells the exile that revan told him to gather the clans and prepare for war, but didnt tell him what they would face, and that revan never told him anything after that. but in TOR revan "might" be in it because there is a picture of a powerful holding cell and it is speculated that its revan and that he was captured and somehow survived (whooptee doo :? ) but its just speculation. in my opinion there should be a sequel to kotor 2 not long after the events of kotor 2, personally id love to discover the true sith myself or something, explore the unknown regions, it would kick ass :) . and that whole thing about descendants filling the void left by the original kotor characters is f****d, i want to fight with canderous and HK-47 again they were my favorite characters from the series.

heres the video of canderous talking about revan to the exile. and heres the pic of the holding cell thing that is speculated to contain revan somehow lol. and like strike22 i hate mmos, i just bought kotor 2 on pc yesterday and i forgot what a pain in the *** it is installing pc games, the graphics suckk, i only got it to use cool mods and that didnt work out, and then the game wouldnt load  , so yeah i like console games way better, i mean you can install your games to the harddrive now on the 360 and it takes maybe a minute max and adds to your disc drives life etc, i have nothing against gaming computers, but theyre dying fast. all i know is that there are too many of us who want kotor 3 or a kotor rpg thats in a different era to be made for it not to happen, its just wrong to slap us in the face by making us wait for kotor 3 only to find out its an mmo, and its on pc only. we want rpg kotor on consoles/pc. kotor on xbox 360 would be amazing, it was mind blowing on xbox and old pc's, just imagine the potential on the 360 and new pc's!

[QUOTE="stike22"]Actually the KOTOR story is finished...it pretty much tells you what happens after in KOTOR 2...I heard TOR has the desendants of the characters from KOTOR but not the actual KOTOR characters themselves...as I said before though.....Don't want another god damn MMO...like I haven't experienced enough MMOs. ITS AN MMO" and then I call them all a bunch of ******** for not making my KOTOR 3. and thats pretty much what happened.KamikazeDonut
Yeah but what about the "True Sith Lords" KOTOR III would have to continue from there but KOTNR would be cool and could take place a few years after Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi.

i dunno, that would be cool, but old star wars universe era stuff really gets me psyched, their is just so much more mystery and stuff especially since movies werent made set in that era (there should be though that would be awesome :D ) i would like to see either a kotor set in the wars i mentioned or just a continuation of kotor 2 etc. i just want it period!

[QUOTE="dracosummoner"]Quite frankly I would rather have a Knights of the Old Republic III. Am I wrong? (Don't get me wrong -- I love Bioware, and I love their games and the stories that give those games meaning, but I can't help but wonder if and how Bioware will circumvent the issues noted in the previous paragraph.)

thats something that only an rpg can do, an mmo is the opposite plain and simple. the game doesnt look good. even the character models look really lame, theyre cartoonish and the lightsabers are too big etc, in kotor 1 and 2 everything looked good and it wasnt cartoonish.

Maybe the picture is from the beta? However, I did hear that the old republic was going to look cartoony. I can't possibly imagine a developer like Bioware to leave some of the character models like that in the picture. Afterall, this is the company that created Mass Effect and Jade Empire. Shouldn't you expect a little better graphics on the xbox 360? I'm not saying they need to look as amazing as Mass Effect but come on, they can do much better. Even though I'm going to atleast try out the old republic, KOTOR 3 would have been much much better. When I think of The Old Republic, I can't help but think of Final Fantasy XI. The Final Fantasy and KOTOR series do have some things in common. Both of these franchises have a huge fan following, contained great in game enviornments, superior storylines, and well developed characters. When Square decided to take Final Fantasy online, it was a HUGE TURNOFF for Final Fantasy fans. I can't help but feel the The Old Republic will be a huge turn off for KOTOR fans. These kind of fans (KOTOR and FF fans) just want to play a great single player game with a great storyline. They don't want to deal with internet connection and monthly fees.

I want KOTR III. I want a game that will finish the story, not this MMO crap that they have presented to the world. I hope they do pull it off though, but I doubt I will play it.

its noton the 360, its for pc. the head guys at bioware said that they plan on maybe bringing tOR to the 360, but if its still an mmo, im not getting it.

im still really confused about whether or not kotor 3 is actually in production, was in production, what stopped it from coming out etc. i mean from what ive seen, it looks like obsidian was well into development on kotor 3 and sounded good, why didnt anything come out? there are tons of possible reasons swirling around in my head, but i have a gut feeling that its still being developed and perhaps obsidian is keeping it under wraps still and maybe even improving it or something. here is all the "proof" or "rumors" ive gathered on kotor 3. #1#2#3#4#5 (there might be some new star wars games possibly according to the vid?). i know that there isnt any solid proof in there and alot of it is already known to be crap since there were release dates set to be years ago etc, but i still wonder if its in production and being kept heavily underwraps?

oh yeah and theres a few legit-ish petitions around im supporting them 100%, even if its just voting on it lol. here's one, and heres another one and heres another one . i found another one the other day with over 15,000 votes! but i couldnt find it.

he writes good books. i think its all about your personal tastes and opinions etc. many, many, many kotor fans including myself hate mmos, the pics with characters show that its extremely cartoonish, and its 300 years after kotor 2 so instead of PLAYING where you fight with revan and the exile and discover the true sith firsthand, you have to listen to NPC's tell you about what happened, and you'll only meet the descendants of the original characters instead of fighting with guys like canderous etc, they'll all be dead. i have no problem with an mmo, but instead of giving us a new and deeply improved kotor on nex gen consoles we get a pc only, non player centrality story, monthly fees, and pc game. not cool. im sure that when karpshyrn said that, he said it as an mmo fan and because he'll get fired for talking negatively about the game, and the game most likely might be really appealing to him. but kotor was a player centralized rpg where it was all your story, in an mmo your 1 of 1,000's of cliche sith lords etc so your character has no real meaning or importance. im sure that TOR might do well (even though ive read literally 1,000's of comments from fans that are really upset and outraged over the game being an mmo etc) but as a true kotor fan i want kotor 3. and the possibilities on the 360 would be amazing, the graphics would be great, bigger environments, deeper interactions with NPC's and the environment, a real character creator (i'd wanna see long hair and sith tattoos lol) and the list could go on.
