Hmm good question most games that are popular i like for the most part. That doesn't mean that i would buy them persay. Off the top of my head I can only think of popular PS3 games LOL XD
Everyone raves about Fallout 3, but I could never get myself immersed in it. You spend so much time working around trivial little tasks and obstacles.
MGS 4, i really tried to like it but i suppose not having played the previous games i just didnt get it,
also GTA IV, that bored me to tears, i perfered saints row(both of em)
Mafia 2 was crap IMO but I rarely see anything but praise for the game...I really see no reason why people like it so much and to make matters worse they have released two lots of DLC with 250 gamerscore each...What a joke seriously.
[QUOTE="B-boy"]gta 4 bioshocknarog84o yea bioshock was such a generic shooter if you think bioshock was generic, you need to play it again and open your eyes.
So DLC makes a game bad? Man you must think Halo 3 sucks.Mafia 2 was crap IMO but I rarely see anything but praise for the game...I really see no reason why people like it so much and to make matters worse they have released two lots of DLC with 250 gamerscore each...What a joke seriously.

Don't see anywhere I said DLC makes a game bad so I am not sure what post you are reading...I said the game was crap, nothing to do with DLC...I just find it amusing that DLC is released for what I consider below par games,it really is a joke...But the Fanboys love it so that's all that matters....And yes I think Halo 3 sucks...I was going to put that in my first post but Mafia 2 is my most recent dislike.;)

So Mafia 2 has fanboys now? Interesting.... As for Halo 3 I've never played it so I can't comment on it. I was just using it as a comparison point. DLC being released has nothing to do with the quality of the game. As for Mafia 2, it seems you're the outlier here. Maybe you just don't like that type of game?Oblivion.vashkeyAnd Fallout as well, the game would be much better if in real time (no vats or whatever) and if the people you met had a sense of meaning there are too many pointless people / side missions to make one stick out from another
[QUOTE="narog84"][QUOTE="B-boy"]gta 4 bioshockdarkghost75o yea bioshock was such a generic shooter if you think bioshock was generic, you need to play it again and open your eyes. Agreed.

LOL you are taking me a bit literally...Fanboys was meant for any game DLC not just Mafia...Probably not the ideal word to use but what I meant was that there are some people who buy DLC regardless of game quality just for achievements/trophies/completion and still want more...As for Mafia 2 game type it is one of my favorite Genre's and a lot of games I play are that type...Maybe I play enough of that type I can judge a piece of crap for what it is....a piece of crap.:P
Yeah i couldn't stand it.. Also not dislike, but i agree AC wasn't the best of gamesGTA 4
I have an undying hate for that game
Rhino53
The Legend of Zelda series, Halo Reach and Assassins Creed II. Halo Reach MP doesn't seem nearly as good as Halo 3 or Halo 2, and the campaign is not as good as previous games. Zelda series never interested me. AC2 didn't feel as fresh as AC1 did to me. The Graphics in AC2 looked worse than AC1.

Well alrighty then. In regards to Mafia 2, you're still in the minority. But I agree about the DLC. I thought it was hilarious when people were pissed cause the AC2 DLC didn't have achievements.there arent many games that ive played and disliked. i tend to only play games that ive read about. however fable 2 was the worlds biggest disappointment, it as a glichy, short watered down, horrible mess. and like another poster said, dead space, although i didnt hate it, i never finished it, i got to a point where i couldnt really progress and i just called it a day.
Anyone who thinks Oblivion and Fallout 3 are bad is crazy and u obviously arent big RPG Fans. Those games didnt have bounds at all and shows game developers what an RPG should be like, it would take you dozens and dozens of hours just to do some stuff. Oblivion and Fallout 3 offer such an open world and so many quests i barely touched the main storyline. So much guns, things you can make, including their are some awesome glitches you can do in the game after your done enjoying it to make it a little bit more fun (oblivion took the summer of 08 away from me, i couldnt put the controller down). You have to not like exploring an open game world to dislike those 2 titles. But i respect your opinion and would like peoples opinion's on why they didnt like it.
As for the games that i dislike and everyone else likes. I would say Bioshock and Red Dead Redemption. I didnt really get into the feel of Rapture, the plasmids were awesome but it feels like the plasmids could of just been the only source of your attacks, ive never played a game where the guns just stink so bad, including the upgrade system was poorly implemented.
Red Dead Redemption didnt deserve the reviews it got. Huge Open world, but the only thing you do is ride a horse the whole game for 10 minutues at a time while saving boring strangers from the side of the dirt road.. to playing the main storyline of just riding a horse, slowing time, and just shooting the guy with a rifle or a pistol the whole game. Not to mention the story wasent really good either.
I guess I have to go with Oblivion. I Tried t get into this gam at numerous occations, but I just can't enjoy it, no matter how much I wish I could. I do like the concept and I like similar games. I suppose Saying that I hated it would me a lie. I do like some aspects of the game. Howevermost of the time I just feel bored while playing it. Everything just takes to much time with not enough rewards (Im talking about the story. not the equipment.)
Another thing I dislike about it are the animations. This might be because I'm working as a 3D-artist, But watching those animations is like injecting burning napalm slowly into your eyeballs.
i hate halo!!!!!......what the hell was that campaign all about???...............i also dislike mw2 n bfbc2...........all of these have bad campaign..........
There are quite a few, although I wouln't say I didn't like them. Just thought "what's the big deal?" Suffice to say I differ from the norm with my tastes. In no particular order:
1. GTA IV
Did not deserve a 10, was poor compared with previous GTA games (the default driving controls were horrific, they removed the more realistic elements from San Andreas and it was generally just average), and I had just had enough of GTA by the time it came out anyway, to be honest.
2. Gears of War
Good. Not great. Good. Fun, but I just never got the adulation. I don't think a gun that doubles up as a chainsaw is a sufficient reason to buy a game. Gameplay wise it wasn't quite my kind of game anyway, and even if it was, it didn't appeardo too much original.
3. Oblivion
One of the reasons I have such a love/hate relationship withthis game is not that it's "bad" per se; it could have been so much better. The levelling up system was atrocious (who wants to sit and jump up and down just to improve their athletics stat?) and the game just wasn't as fun as I had envisioned it to be. The characters were flat in my opinion and lacked personality.I also get put off a bit by the fantasy setting. There are only so many games where you can put up with elves and orcs all the time. At least Dragon Age, through presentation, storytelling and just a more unique world managed to circumvent my hatred of the orcs and elves high fantasy cliche'. Give me Conan or Kull instead any day.
4. Lost Odyssey
People say this is one of the better JRPG's on the 360, but it is one of the most boring, cut and paste JRPG's I have played in a long time. The only interesting thing was the memories. Marvellous storytelling. Apart from that, the characters were annoying and unlikable, the story was dull, the combat slow and repetetive, the ring system in combat was not new either - it reminded me of shadow hearts. The presentation was very, very dull, with grey, awkwardmenusand hard to read writing. You can tell I value presentation in my games, and this was one of the worst.
5. Perfect Dark Zero
I have little to say about this game other than it quite simply spits on the franchise name. Really. It was originally intended as an Xbox or Gamecube game, and you can tell by it's design. The achievements are going to be few for anyone that doesn't devote their lives to online multiplayer as well, something that bothers me about Gears of War and the 360 version of F.E.A.R (although it's such a good game that it avoids being put on this list)
6. Prey
Not bad, just "meh". Interesting story and gameplay, just didn't find it that fun compared to F.E.A.R.
In addition, pretty much anything Final Fantasy (it was good on the SNES....thats about it really!), Call of Duty, Guitar Hero (or anything published by Activision), anything Halo or any war shooters are going to bore the arse off me, so no need to list them here.
