Interesting thread. I have to say I was soooooo disappointed with GTA IV just never got going for me. Fallout 3 was a strangely unenjoyable experience. The main figure kind of moonwalked around the landscape and frankly I found it extremely boring. Bioshock. Fantastic in terms of atmosphere but it got boring very quickly. Having not had a 360 long I would say the games I've enjoyed/played most are Gears of War and Fable II so the hate here is a suprise!
Earlier in this thread I mentioned how I hated Halo 3: ODST, but after I finished Reach I got the Halo fever and went and bought ODST again as It's the only halo I haven't beaten. Man was I wrong with my first impression of this game..I love it, in fact If I were to rate all the main Halo games from best to worst, It'd go:
Halo: Reach
Halo: Combat Evolved
Halo 3: ODST
Halo 3
Halo 2
If any of you were in the same boat as me and for some reason had an undying hatred for ODST, I urge you to go play it! It's amazing! Anyway, carry on :P
BIOSHOCK. Hate it. First person mechanics are sloppy and wonky at best. Enemies repeat themselves dozens of times throughout the game. Randomly spawning enemies in what (at least to me) is intended to be a survival type of game (which is again killed by "defend this area against infinitely spawned enemies until time runs out" sequences). Everyone also praised the story. Apparently none of those people have played Mass Effect, Half-Life 2, Assassin's Creed 1 and 2, etc. I just can't stand the game.
I don't like many of the GTA or Halo games. In fact, Halo: Reach is the only one I've really enjoyed. I couldn't get into RDR either. I'm willing to give B: AA, Fallout 3 and Oblivion another try, as I don't think I was able very far into them.
Fable 2, BioShock, and Oblivion. I actually bought Oblivion twice. It was one the frist games I got for the 360. Played maybe a 5 hours and took it back. Later Oblivion got the game of the year so I bought it again to give it another shot. Still come not get into it.
Mafia 2... I just traded it in to GameStop and got 25 for it because I put it down on a preoder of Black Ops. I'm not going to say I hated the game, or its the worst game ever but it isnt nearly as good as some people think it is and I would have NEVER EVER EVER played it again so I traded it in. How people can think it was a good game boggles my mind. The game for me was actually kinda boring until the last few missions, then it got good, but not good enough to say its a good or even great game over it. Not to mention all the driving around for little stupid missions without having anything on the side to do like a GTA game. Anyways, just my opinion, Mafia 2 is wack
Mosto f my favorite games are listed on this thread haha, funny how people points of view differ so greatly, anyway I didn't like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, as there were really heavy balancing issues in the game, and people became too tricky (it's not the games fault I know) GTA IV, as slow as it gets, this bored me to death, although I recon a high production value game here, they didn't foucs all the development in the fun department and Dead Space, I dont know the game never clicked on me maybe I might give it a new try someday
Modern Warfare 2, Halo ODST, Halo 3, Oblivion, and yes heres the shocker World of Warcraft i've bought this game three times i REPEAT "THREE" times and everytime it just doesnt excite me in anyway at all.
my friends and i were talking about games we like and stuff and i mentioned that i didn't like assassin's creed. well, didn't that go down well? actually no, it didn't. but it got me thinking: what games do the spotters dislike despite their friends/critics/reviews? i didn't like assassin's creed right from the start when it was all done in flashback. what's the point? you could still have sequels without the whole "going back to a past life" crap. mehcrackpack
Call Of Duty, I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT! Everyone ruins the game by doing challenge lobbies, gliches, speed hacks, killstreak hacks, etc. It is the WORST!
