"Kids have the right the play a M rated game"
Wow...that's some BS.....Why on gods earth do they have a "right" to play such games?..I can maybe see 17-18 playing, by that time any values that you implemented in your children will hopefully have stuck..any younger and it is a huge conflict...
Any parent that allows a child to play games like COD should be sat down a bitterly slapped. If a parent needs some time to themselves ...any dumb *** can come up with a hundred different ways to do so...At least give them a game that is more age sensitive.
Parents need to do just that "Parent" and stop taking the BS way out
About 8 out of 10 matches (sometimes more) there will be a kid playing who has to be less then 11 years old. Last night a gamer named Fenz, who was obviously very young, was being so distracting that the entire team did horrible and we lost.
Don't parents realize that their kids will be playing online with adults? They're exposing their kids to vulgar language, adult conversations, and mature content both with gameplay and online experience.
If I had a child as young as some of these gamers, I definitely wouldn't let them play games online that are rated M for Mature.

Yeah, that's irresponsible parenting. I don't have any kids yet, but when my fiancee and I do there is no way they are touching games like that until they are mature enough to not talk smack and play a clean fair game.
10 out of 10 matches in Halo 3 have a run-the-mouth 12 year old in them........ugh......
YEah young voices piss me off but as someone said before everyone has the right to play ,IMO COD4 shouldt be rated as M , im 17 , and i think we shouldt blame parents i mean , who are we to decide what someone can play and what cant , its a mental maturity thing i mean some people are really mature for their age , i only play M games and IMO the ESRB rating is overacting
--sry for my english i know ist the best :P
Kids should not be playing these games and I don't even let my 2 kids watch me play these games. The only time that I play them is when they are not home or outside playing or something. Parents have a responsibility to control the content of their kids surroundings in whatever way they can. I agree that the parents of the children that are playing these games are either unaware of the content or taking the easy way out for a moment's peace and quiet. I don't really care if a kid is good or bad, they shouldn't be playing these types of games.
Im 31, i got yelled at by some kid who had to be 10 because i had a bad game. Sorry, only been playing COD Live a week. He told me i had no clue how to play war type games. I have toured in Iraq and Afghanistan with the 101st and wanted to break this little kids neck. Im not saying all of the kids on there are bad. Ive played with some that are helpful. I dont even care about the high pitched voice. Just a matter of respect to others. Ive probably met just as many jerks over 18 as i have others.2003gagt
agreed. and I lol'd at the highlighted section;) how easy is it to say something like that to someone without even knowing them:)
When i was a kid, i was only allowed to play stuff like jumpstart adventures and all that stuff. Now that i'm 15, i'm allowed to play any games i want to, so long as i can buy them. I haven't experienced playing Live yet because i'm still saving for the WiFi router i need, but i do know how it's like playing with itty bitty kids on MMORPG's like guild wars. To be quite frank, I really don't see the reason why anyone should have to brag about killing people better than anyone else. To me that's just immature and it just proves that anyone who calls anyone a n00b just for playing bad is a BLAND, LIFELESS, INSOCIABLE geek. Like, come on and crawl out of that hole you call a room and enjoy REAL friends to brag to, if that's your thing. Plus, it gives ignorant people like *cough* Jack Thompson *cough* something to bring to court, like that'll change a thing. Right.
Sorry for the english, i'm filipino.
Well im 14 and ive noticed my voice is still a little high on the mic, so i do everyone a favor and dont use it! I wish to God everyone else would do the sametunasandwich395iam 13 but my voice isnt like little kids and i do agree they are so annoying they keep telling wow lastdevil (my gt on live) you are a really good freind you are my best freind i hate it i just hate it
I usually bloack and give a bad review to all little kid's I come accross. But the thing that pisses me off about that is let's say the kid gets made fun of or hear's certain words he thinks are bad, then he tells his mommy. And instead of his mommy saying oh I shouldn't of let you play that game, or just don't play that game any more, they go ape s--t and want to sue Xbox or something ridiculous like that. It's b.s.SpecialED1020
you sound like a "little kid'' yourself...
This is one hot hot hot topic folks!!!!
Some suggestions for CoD4 live, to helps all me friends out there in the interwebs:
change your zone to underground, I did this, and noticed a drop off of the wee lil ones.
Play in hardcore matches, here I found that: A)there are less kids and "immature adults", and B) if someone is being a tool, you can do more than mute him/her, your whole team can "kill" them over and over and over till they leave.
I am not a parent, I do have a younger brother who is 15, he is a good player, and one of the quietest players on live, he just kicks behinds and takes names. I don't really care if a kid is in the room, I don't really care if they are good or bad, I have been more irritated by the interracists, and net-tough guys out there. Trash talking can be good, I see no problem when someone kills me eight to ten times in one match, and telling me to call them daddy afterwards, they did good and deserve the right to let everyone know. It's the ones who go 3 and 27 and talk trash all through the match and in the lobby that need to shut it.
Just remember go hardcore, and vent......VENT!!!!
I cancelled my XBOX live membership because of problems like this. I'd be playing GoW or CoD4 and fool kids would be acting crazy and yelling at the top of their lungs about nothing. And no, reporting them doesn't help at all. I thought live was going to start having moderators in matches. Oh well. Gualoh
there is an easier solution. go to privacy settings in the guide menu and set your voicechat on Friends only.. It has been paradise for me since then:)

Chat about stuff they are too young to know about, that might shut them up.SpigleyMcCheese
No thats just making them crazy even more!! maybe we should all chat about politics??:P
The majority of people I;ve met on Xbox Live couldn't even spell politics.
I think... P.. O..L..I...T....I....C....S is a stupid idea, why the hell would you want to talk about politics!
I hate playing aganst pepolethatunder the the age of 17NeloAngelo4
They're not all bad. I have some kids in my friends list who are really cool.
I really do agree. I don't mind the kids though if they aren't annoying and cuss like every two seconds thinks its the coolest thing ever. But seriously parents do need to spend more time with these kids. Like this for example I have a kid on my friends list that is a Brigadier Grade 2 in Halo, I know this is not the highest rank but he is the only one of my friends except for one that is this high skilled and he's like 10! But he's cool so I do play with him on Halo.

Because there parents are very annoyed with them so they buy them a game to get them of thier backs and on to ours. PARENTS FAILL
But really I dont mind playing with kids if they don't talk and make my ears bleed with their mindless yelling, screaming, singing etc...
i'm 15 and i really don't talk to people on live. I don't talk unless someone asks me a question or someone needs help. So don't be stereotypical toward anyone under 18. As for the ratings, stupid idea. Kids no matter what age will get their hands on mature content.
A 360 is not the same a daddy's porn collection sitting under a mattress, or the cigarettes that are stashed in the shoes of a closet..maybe the weed hidden behind the speaker in a speaker case/tower.
If parents would do there job then no... it would not be a problem..the 360 has the means to control the content. So you can get your hands on the content...but should not be able to play it..
In-fact..if the child feels the need to go play such games because of whatever reason...Other friends, boredom...then the parents still has failed..They needed to give what the child was asking for along time ago..could be attention..could be 100 other things..it does not matter.. The parents job is to figuare it out..
Parents that allow kids to play M rated games that are 17 and below should be beaten with a cane no wider then there thumb
well i'm 13 and i'm always coming 1st or second in matches.i havent came last ever.there may be alot of adults on cod4 mp but they sure are sh*tcheames748
this is exactly why we don't like you, cos you're all obnoxious little stains on the underwear of society.

lol nice
COD4 was little kid free up to a few days ago, I dont enjoy playing with these little children who scream their heads off and try to act cool over xbox live. I wish Live had another gamer zone that only let players who are over the age of 17 to play in peace without dealing with abunch of highpitched voices rambaling about nothing.

Yeah, they can put "pwning n00bz" on their resume when they need a job and see how far it gets them in REAL LIFE. Another funny thing would be to send those little pricks to Iraq for their 18th birthday and see how much "ownage" they get on the terrorists trying to suicide bomb their convoy.
High pitched voices don't concern me. I've even got no problem with "newbs" (not "n00bs" Nobody likes n00bs. See CAD for a definition). It's the idiot children who want to feel older by yelling at the guy who manages to accidentally land himself last (or who curbstomp your rightful kill because you were in a really bad position and taking the extra time would lose the match)
Heh, I don't feel satisfaction by telling somebody I killed: "omg you suck like sh*t man! hahah!" Me trash-talking after a good match pretty much comes down to a sarcastic: "Nicely done, guys."

sometimes i think im the only one who thinks this way but kids who are underage shouldnt be able to play M games. sure, im more likely to not care for a 15, 16, or 17 year old, but 11?? come on. an 11 doesnt deserve and should not be playing an M game, especially MP. it takes away from the experience.
Lazy parents that don't want to spend time with their kids so they stick them infront of the xbox with halo or any other sort of game. I'm sure they won't turn out anti-social....:roll:mikel222222
LOL..Good one
too be honest im only 15 and i play cod 4online and i understand were you adults are getting at. Its most likely kids around my age come and start cursing being annoying, trying to be "gangsters", tryin to pick cyber fights and all. well i find this really annyoning too not all kids do it its just the ones that are sick in the head and have no friends.
___PEACE___

I don't mind your average kid on Live, it's the ones like this guy who talk crap that need a "TIME OUT" & a good old fashion COD4 Butt Whipping.
