Yeah, its a real problem and it gets me mad when a pre-teen kid is playing adult rated games like Battlefield 2 or Ghost Recon. Some parents will always be irresponsible with their children and supplying them with 15+ or 18+ games there is no excuse for. I hope one day things change.robshenmue

In my opinion i dont think battlefield 2 is a bad game at all. and u guys need to quit complaining and actually use the mute button or just dont play. its like the people complaining are the kids here

yesterday i was playing with some kid who couldnt have been older then 10, named Austin Powers. everyone on our team muted him

every five seconds he said "shut up, shut up. hey listen! guys shut up!"

he didnt really affect the team's performance, but we still had to make up for him. at the end he was 3 - 32

we lost cause we couldnt make up for how terribly he did

the thing is. its not that all little kids playing are annoying. some are really cool but when u get 8 year olds playing gears of war, halo 3, cod 4 and everything with ADULTS and other older players..its not right. Its like if u were 8 years old and u wanted to hang out with people that were 16-30 years old. I wouldnt want some 8 year old talking to me and stuff because my friends do talk about and say profanity that some 8 year old shouldnt hear. But parents dont relize that is what their kids are exposed to.

Ya in any game u play theres going to be an annoying nine year old my voice is still high as well but I only use it to talk with other people about strategy and tactics. I don't try to spam peoples headsets trying to be black or trying to get a reaction out of being annoying. What I do if someone is spamming the mike is i mute them and then i go out of my way to kill them, and during intermission i get people to make them feel bad so they quit. You get a great sense of victory when you make a nine year old quit.

love the last bit of your comment rugbymen2, lol. Ye, i totally agree with ianp_91 and also agree that its merely a lack of correct parenting....why not send them to the strippers, atleast then they dont have to stay at home. hehe

well to let you know you idiot im 21 years old and its retards like you that i dont play online anymore;the kids never bothered me online it was the other people that complain about all the uselees crap, so ianp-91 get you effin story right before you start spewing a bunch of crap out of your mouth. i believe a saying goes. dont assume because you make an ass out of you and me.but this time you've only made an ass out of yourself.i love how intelligent people are on here. let the effin kids play so what if you dont like it.dont play it;its you damnn people that think you have seniority over little kids because there younger.its actually pretty sad;if you actually have this much time to complain about kids you need a new life buddypatrickhorta87

Congratulations on making no sense, how's that working out for you?

Calling everyone retarded because we disagree with little kids seeing content they shouldn't and then getting the media to put pressure on the games industry we support in the first place is as useful as a chocolate fireguard, as are your English skills. Brush up on bothyour ability to respect people and your English and maybe we can talk after that.

Welcome to Xbox Live where pre-pubescent kids run free and enjoy playing music through their headsets.

You're right. It is a different ballgame (or videogame) when playing online. I too played NES/SNES/GENESIS games when I was a little squirt, but I wasn't interacting with 25 year olds who at anytime could say things that I shouldn't hear. Or pressure me to take part in a unsuitable conversation for a child.

I was playing Mortal Kombat around the time it was causing this commotion in the media about it being too violent for kids. But I turned out fine. And so did my friends who played as well. But I wasn't extremely young either, maybe 13? Even still, kids a lot younger that than were playing it, and I don't think it had any negative effects on them either. It was just a fun game.

And if I had a child, I probably would let them play it too. But not online. I wouldn't want my young child talking to adults on a headset about...well anything.

The movement to censor violence in videogames has kind of died down. Now it's all about sex in videogames. But if these people had any idea what children are really being expose to when playing online, the content in the game would be the last thing on their minds.

Very true. You can definitely see mature stuff on MTV any day of the week. Or even the nightly news for that matter. I'm not arguing that.

I hate censorship. Whether in TV, Film, Music, or Games. I think if entertainment is made for adults, then it shouldn't have to be censored. If parents want their kids to stay away from stuff like that, then it's their responsiblity. And I don't think parents should completely isolate their child from all the naughty things out there. I think talking and explaining things is a lot better.

But I'm not saying kids shouldn't be allowed to play 'M' rated games, or see 'R' rated movies, etc. I'm saying that the interaction a child may have while playing a game online, will be far more mature or explicit than the M rated gaming content itself. He or she could be playing Viva Pinata online, and still be able to communicate w/a perverted 20 year old, or idiots that just wanna use every racial slur that they know.

If I had a little kid that wanted COD4 or Halo 3, I would buy it for them. I wouldn't have a problem w/ the gaming content. I would just have a problem w/ the stuff they would be exposed to online. Which is something that I think most parent don't know.

But we are a generation of gamers, whether casual or hardcore. We know what to expect w/ this new era a gaming. So maybe we will be able to use a different type of discretion w/ our kids.

And I know kids will do whatever they want. Somehow. If I don't let my kid play online, he'll just go to his friends house and play there. Or if I don't want them to learn about something, they'll learn from a kid a school.

But hopefully my child and I will have enough communication so that I can explain certain things that they may not fully comprehend or understand.
