Finally - Level 12!
by *Simdroplets on Comments
Wow I really can't believe it. I'm finally at Level 12. While I can't say for certain, it really does feel like I've been at Level 11 for about four months. Now granted, I haven't been doing much, but that has been more due to the fact that I heard there was a new level system coming into play, and I figured why put a lot of work into here if I won't get the level credit for it anyway. Perhaps not the most productive attitude, but at least my patience paid off, and I was finally granted Level 12 status today.
I keep trying to change my profile icon from Kermie to something more personal, but it keeps saying that all of my URL's are invalid and just keeps reverting back to Kermit. I have tried uploading from my hard drive and from Photobucket, and neither method are working. I was trying to find answers in the forums, but to no avail.
Oh well... Happy Level 12 day for me!
Ahh ... moving

We are preparing to move out of our apartment into another place, however our furniture and such will be stored for about three months until we find said place, and we stay with my in-laws. This is the fourth time in my life I remember moving. I know we moved a few times when I was a child, but the first move I was really involved in, packing my own stuff, was from one house to another house across town back home in Kansas. Then when I married, I packed up my clothes and his stuff and we brought it in our single vehicle from Kansas to Massachusetts. But of course that was a blur, because it was our honeymoon, and I was just moving out of my parents' house, and so I was really only bringing things with me like old journals and my cap and gown, really odd stuff.
Then we moved from our first apartment, funnily enough, in again with my in-laws for about three months, until we got this apartment. Somehow that move is also a blur. I do remember making several trips with our stuff to my in-laws house a few miles away, my brother was here visiting and he helped a lot, and I do remember moving our stuff into this place, it just kind of happened in one day that it all landed in a huge pile in our living room, and now two years have gone by.
So here we are again, moving, this time hopefully to a bigger place with more room for the family to come visit, rather than sleeping on the couch. We are going to be out by 1/27, and so that seems really close, but on the other hand, it's kind of far away, because I can't really start packing up dishes yet or that kind of thing.
So while I go stir crazy, I keep to my Simmies, and this weekend we are going to see the Body Worlds exhibit in Boston. I've only been saying I wanted to see it since July, and now here it is, the very last weekend of the exhibit. Talk about procrastination! With that and the playoffs, we do have a busy weekend, but hopefully I can start getting some stuff packed.
I hope in time, this too shall be a blur.
Ugh...back to work

After having a few days off, it's always hard to go back to work. And I swear I'm going to think it's Monday all day today. This won't be fun, but at least Friday will come faster this week then.
It's almost the end of the year, and time for the start-up of the mid-season shows, like American Idol and Apprentice. However, I really doubt we'll tune into Apprentice much this season. Personally, the whole Miss Universe debacle makes me not care much for Donald Trump anymore. I think he just didn't want any bad publicity for himself or his pageant since his show is premiering, and he won't take his show off the air since he thinks that is a sign of failure, but believe me, it started have just ended with Bill Rancic. He was the best apprentice out of any and all of them who have been appointed.
Trump thinks that Rosie is the one who's going to make The View fail, and while I don't watch the show, I'd have to believe that she is the one who revitalized it, and is going to keep it going longer than The Apprentice is going to last. With so many decent shows being cancelled this season, why don't they just already do away with the stupid Apprentice and serve Trump what he deserves.
Blech... just another manic Monday. Although it's actually Tuesday. Blech on Tuesdays then. :)
The Level Thing and MSCL
by *Simdroplets on Comments
So I was just reading about the new level system they're planning on implementing after the first of the year. I wonder if we'll all still be equivalent to the levels we have now, or will we all have to work up from 0. I wouldn't think that would be the case, because there are a lot of people who have worked very hard to make a lot of great submissions and deserve their higher place on the ladder of TV.com.
I haven't been making many submissions lately, so I haven't been shocked that my level hasn't been on the rise, though I was taking it for maybe I just moved up thru the first few levels really fast and then it really slows down after Level 10 or something. Because there have been a couple of days I've made one or two submissions, and I would have liked to see a little bit of an increase, and also I thought I'd get increases for blogs and for that one review I did last week, but alas - I'm anxious to see the level system revamped and hopefully it will work a lot smoother.
And another thing about My So-Called Life that I posted yesterday - did you know that they released all 19 episodes a few years back, in some huge boxed set, and now you can only buy it on eBay for like $200, with no plans to re-release anytime soon? That really stinks. The more I was thinking about the show yesterday, I thought now there is a show I would watch over and over again, so I looked on BestBuy.com to see if I could buy the set, and that's when I found out that you can't. I could get three entire seasons of Nip/Tuck for under $100, but I can't get MSCL just like I can't get Red Sox tickets. That's messed up. I really hope that ABC or whoever owns rights to MSCL will change their minds and re-release it in the near future. I heard it's on Youtube, yeah, but I'd kinda like to be able to watch it on my TV, you know? I'm weird like that.
