What should I do?

A local store is featuring each set of Nip/Tuck seasons 1-3 on sale this weekend for $23.99 each. Now, I've seen all of the episodes, I don't remember seeing any huge extras on the DVD's when I rented them, but c'mon - this price is hard to beat, especially when they are normally $44.99 each.

So what should I do? I mean, it's one of those shows that I like, but do I like it enough I'd sit down and watch each entire season again? I don't know. But at this price, it's almost less than half of what it would be if I bought them not on sale. However, the thought never even crossed my mind to buy them in the first place.

Oh what to do - to Nip/Tuck or not?

Goodbye Peter Boyle

Yesterday, we lost a great actor in Peter Boyle, whom I mostly knew from "Everybody Loves Raymond," and also in his infamous role as Frankenstein's monster, especially singing "Puttin On The Ritz" in "Young Frankenstein." He will be missed.

What s'new?

Yeah so I've been flopping around Level 11 here for about a month, after having so quickly climbed up the TV.com ladder and having obtained my first editorship all within five months of joining. But for the last few weeks since my mom went back to Kansas, I've been spending a lot of time catching up in another dimension of my life: My Simmies.

It all started out with me and my hubby and we had a child, whom we named Augusten.

Then Augusten grew up and went on to major in economics at college, and came home to marry his college sweetheart, Allison, and they had a son, Eamon.

Most recently they have had a second son, Ian, and they all live in a little cul-de-sac across the street from each other, me and my hubby in one house, and Augusten's family in the other house.

Now, for anyone who has ever played the Sims, the events which I just described above has taken many days, Sim and real-life, to all transpire. Especially while Augusten was away at college; that seemed to take a week alone.

But anyways, I just wanted the folks over here at TV.com to know what I've been up to. My little virtual family is growing, and my hubby and I are in our twilight years, so pretty soon Augusten will become the patriarch.

When I'm not in the game, I am also insanely addicted to downloading at ModTheSims2.com and TheSimsResource.com too. So while I've been floating around TV.com, I haven't contributed much, but like I said, I've got a family to raise!  :D

A funny site

Do you have/know someone who has a Wii? Neither do I, but I still found amusement from this site, which lists a few very entertaining experiences of people breaking their own and sometimes not their own TV screens and other non-plastic things which are sometimes found in a house upon playing with their Wii.

So Lost is moving...

At first I was mad, because it's hard enough to spend a Wednesday waiting around for 9pm as it is, but then when I realized the perfect gift which had been given to me, I was mad no more. Since Taylor has been enthroned, I haven't even thought about American Idol, but apparently ABC doesn't want us to have to choose between Lost and American Idol, which is oh-so-kindly of them. However, it's only the results show, which typically I only watch the last five minutes of anyway, to see who died that week, but whatever.

I guess this means no more competing to see which show will follow Lost either, no more Invasion, The Nine, or Daybreak. And at least come April, we'll have the Sox back, so ideally the games will be ending before Lost starts and everybody will have Happy Wednesdays all around!

Heroes and Dreams

Before the alarm went off this morning, I was right in the middle of having this dream that I got to Level 54 on TV.com. How pitiful am I?

In other news, how awesome was last night's epi of Heroes? That show really has just gotten better and better each week. I was about ready to give up on it, but now that the stories are really unraveling, becoming so much more complex, and the major cliffhangers they keep leaving us - all I have to say is Wow. I can't believe I have to wait another month to find out what's up with Peter and if Silar escaped and all the other questions I have now!
