Well, what do ya know? A long awaited (or dreaded :P) update! Just for future warning, there is a reason this is rated T, and it aint violence ;)
Chapter six: The witches
"Witches of woodstock?"
"That's what he said. If I'm correct, they should be located at that island to your left. No! Your other left. Woah, Lao Shi, slow down, or you're gonna..."
His sentence was interrupted by Lao Shi and him crashing onto the beach of the lsland.
"...crash."
After spitting the sand out of his mouth, Lao Shi spoke. "So, how far inland are these witches?"
"I'd say around four, five miles. If we fly we'll be there in no time."
In a split second Lao Shi had Fu on his back and ready to go.
"But don't go too-"
He was again cut off by the abrupt taking off of Lao Shi, followed by Chang.
"Oh, I knew I should've passed on those brownies...ah!"
About half an hour later, they arrived, with Fu Dog feeling as though he'd just rode a rollercoaster...
And he felt a strange rumbling in his stomach.
"Uh, guys, you mind if I-"
"Shh! Commanded Lao Shi. "We are trying to find some very important information on the Dark Dragon! Whatever it is, it can wait."
"Hello, greeted Lao Shi. "Pardon our disturbance, but we are told you have some information we need."
"No problem, the eldest, Monica, replied. "what are you looking for?"
Lao Shi's face became serious at the question. "Information on the whereabouts of the Dark Dragon."
Monica's eyes widened. "Perhaps we should go inside to talk about this."
Lao Shi and Chang nodded, then motioned for Fu to come along.
Once inside, Monica spoke again. "The Dark Dragon attacked us about two months ago, ransacking our house for what he wanted. Strangely enough, the only items he took were a mind control potion, a power enhancing spell, and a magical tracking device."
"That explains how his powers are greater than before. Do you know where he is now?"
"Sorry, we don't. But...we know who does. It's risky though, and it'll cost you."
"We have the means to pay."
"...Alright, if you can arrange to meet the Huntsmaster of the New York clan, he should be able to tell you where the Dark Dragon is. If you can pay. But, are you sure it's a risk you want to take? This is the Huntsclan, after all."
"We will take any risk necessary to ensure the safety of both the human and magical worlds. Good day to you all, we must be going." And with that, Lao Shi, Chang, and Fu went outside.
"Lao Shi, just how do you intend to arrange such a meeting between yourself and the Huntsmaster?"
"It is sunset. The time when, in Hong Kong, the Huntsclan would go hunting fairies, sprites, and other small creatures. I am sure it is no different in New York. Fu, do you know where the fairies and sprites reside?"
There came no answer from Fu, only a gagging sound, followed by the emptying of the contents of his stomach...onto councilor Chang.
"Heh, sorry about that..." He was quickly shut up by the glare she gave him. If looks could kill, he'd be dead by now.
Fu Dog cleared his throat uneasily. "Uh, most of the smaller creatures, leprechauns, sprites, fairies, etc., live in Central Park."
"Then we must go there at once."
"Okay, but take it easy when you're flyin', unless you want that to happen again." He said, pointing to Chang.
"Perhaps I should get cleaned up, I'll meet with you later."
"Okay, but don't take too long, Lao Shi has some things planned for tonight." He said, winking at her.
"Hello, Fu interrupted, "I'm standing right here. I hurled once and I don't wanna repeat!"
Lao Shi gave Chang a soft kiss, and then left, with Fu on his back.
Once they were gone, a figure came out of the shadows. Chang kneeled before him.
"Master, how did you find me here?"
"I made use of the tracking device I took from those witches. Tell me, have you made any progress in getting Lao Shi to side with us?"
"I haven't had the time, master. We have been busy the whole day, attempting to find your whereabouts. Speaking of which, when do you wish for him to find you? I can arrange it whenever you like."
"You will arrange nothing, Chang. The man is smart, he will find me when the time is right. But before he does, you must pull him closer to you somehow, so that he will more easily take our side. If we are to succeed, we will need him on our side."
"But master, what is so important about this one dragon?"
"What is so important, is that he is the only dragon to ever face me and live. If he is that powerful, we need him with us, rather than against us, or else it is a lost cause."
"Yes, master."
The cloaked dragon smiled. "Soon, those pathetic mortals will be no more..."
