How many people that are excited for Killzone 2 have ever played Killzone 1? There were tons of things wrong with the first one. The first game had the worst sound I've ever heard in a game. The game also could not get you to care about the characters much (Templar, Luger). The story has extremely good potential, which was the reason I bought it, but completely fails at even making you care about the story.

What does this have to do with Killzone 2 you may ask? Well, Killzone 1 and 2 have many similarities. Killzone 1 was a graphically impressive game on the PS2, and it looks like it will be the same in Killzone 2. It even has a new set of characters, making the characters in Killzone 1 obsolete. It will probably have the same problem with the lack of variation with enemies. But if all the same problems exist in the second version (horrible characters, story), why are you excited for Killzone 2?

Your post is a bit confusing, your saying that KZ1 had bad sound, characters and story.

Then you say KZ1 and KZ2 are similar because they both have good graphics for their era (a good thing), but that KZ2 has a new set of characters (also good since you didnt like the original characters).

And from this you conclude that KZ2 will have the same problems as KZ1 (characters, story and sound)

For the record I havent played the original but am looking forward to the second because it looks fun.

My review

I played Xbox live after buying a month card, for what aounts to less then a bag of crispsm, because MS is a company out to make profit.

I went to market place to download some maps, but realised that as its a marketplace, things are for sale,as devs like to make money also.

I booted up GeOW and got stuck into a match, with a 13 yr old texan,he was shoutin his mouth off,i was rather amused as he talked the talk but had the skill to back it up.

I then played PSN,and aside from the terrible interface, the 12 people online, the horrible friends list,it was free ,so thats fine

I then tried to play Warhawk,as it come s with a free mic,i assumed would be in use,i was wrong.

XBOX LIVE 9/10 - it could be free

PSN 6/10 - it works.....and its free....

My "review"

I played PSN over my wireless connection without buying a month card because its free.

I went to the playstation store and downloaded some new themes for free.

I realised that as its a market place things are for sale, as devs like to make money also. So i purchased Pixeljunk Monsters for what amounts to less then a bag of crisps and played for a few hours.

I then popped in warhawk and strategized with my friends on how to beat the other team.

Then I went to my friends house to play Halo while listening to kids swearing at eachother and he complained to me about spending $170 on a wireless adaptor and another $100 for a 1yr XBL subscription (AU)

XBL - 6/10: makes you pay needlesly

PSN - 9/10: has everything you need and is free

It all depends on what your looking for in an online experience, which is why there is no winner in this argument (the PSN vs XBL argument that is).

The 60gb SKU in Australia only had software emulation for PS1/2 games.

hidys

Meaning you can play most ps1/2 games on it, whether its through emulation or the EE it is still BC with around 85% of ps1/2 games
