@biggamer194 @GSGuy321 by doing that, they will probably spend less anyway. I mean who asked for a single player in Battlefield 3? Did anyone really play it? haha BF2 and 2142 didnt have single player.
@experience_fade @-ArchAngeL-777- I wasnt talking just consoles actually. Steam is the best digital download option, but no one else uses their philosophy, including other PC services like Origin.
@Kryptonbornson @-ArchAngeL-777- CDs, DVD, BluRays and books continue to fly off shelves at places like Walmart and Best Buy and Amazon. There is still a huge market for physical media.
@experience_fade @-ArchAngeL-777- Of course I have. Where can I get Uncharted on Steam? How about Forza or Halo 4? So you have to go on PSN and Live to get those which means you will be paying more than you would on Amazon or Gamestop.
We are at least a generation away from all digital. Too many people are used to going out and buying disk media, swapping them with friends, and just in general having a reason to get off the couch and get out somewhere. CD's, DVDs, Books...they aren't going anywhere as long as the pre-internet generations are still around at the least. Also, digital does not usually equal cheaper, especially since the devices cost enough money that a lot of low income families or those with tight budgets dont have them. Games on PS Store are a lot more expensive than at Gamestop or Amazon.
If the budgets are too high, then cut out the mo cap, expensive cut scenes, and focus on the gameplay. If the game is good, no one cares about that stuff. Sony invested in a mo cap studio for Sucker Punch on Infamous Second Son. Why? Infamous is a great series already. Is mocap going to double their sales? No it wont. AAA games were coming out before the big budgets of this past generation. It can be done, but these studios seem to be one upping each other with added costs no one asked for.
I wish I could say I was shocked. Seriously though, considering the overwhelming numbers of extremely high reviews for the game, this kind of review just looks bad.
@1RazvanClaudiu Exactly. There's a reason these games are cheap, and many are severely limited by the touch controls. Nothing more frustrating than trying to play Pac Man on an iPhone. Racing games are a joke as most auto accelerate for you. There are a few exceptions of course, but for the most part buttons and analog sticks are essential to making good games...always have been.
