Plus if your connection stinks.
I have Roadrunner broadband its great.
No if you something like DSL or something like that than It might be your internet service provider.
I mean come on even PC games lag, is the PC ? Maybe but its probably the connection.

Lair on ps3 is a good sign that ps3 has the resources and tools to make 512mb of ramlook like 2gigs on a PC.
But it doesn't even have 512MB.
Isnt it spilt 256mb times 2 or something weird like that.
And Lair doesnt look so hot anymore.

You mean like most PC gamers are going to have to play the game.
I kidd...Not !
Ok a little green, just a little.
[QUOTE="SUD123456"][QUOTE="-Ninja_Dog-"]Its is a great system.
Most people don't vent them properly or have them in the sun or by the heater, hell Ive seen picks where hey have the power brick blocking vent holes.
Its like this if the 360 was really bad engineering then they would all break.
And that simply isn't the case.

Look, it is a great system. I really like mine. But it clearly has a significant manufacturing issue or two. The disk scratching one is indisputable and was very effectively demonstrated by a Dutch TV show. And clearly overheating isthe main problem. My Jan/06 manufactured unit died a few days ago. I own my house, which is air conditioned, and my unit sat on the floor completely unobstructed with nothing within at least two feet. I had read all the reports. I took every conceivable precaution. And is still died. And there are thousands of 360 fans like me who claim the same.
However, it isn't just my experience or internet boards. MS did not extend their warranty to 1 yr for no good reason out of a sudden generosity of their hearts. And they don't have a call centre staffed by people who have a very clear 3 red rings script and who have obviously followed that script over and over again, without a good reason. And they don't have a service contract in place with Purolator (in Canada) who have their own stock of special xbox360 return packaging, and according to the call centre know exactly what to do and will send my a box and help me fill out the paper if necessary....although that is apparently really easy and Purolator has not only boxes, but pre-labelled boxes, automatic cost recovery from MS, and automatic shipping instructions. Apparently it is brain dead easy for me.Now why do you suppose this whole ease of service exists?
Anyway. If you have a warranty you are ok. Mine ran out as it was over a year. Now for $168 I get a replacement box and a new 1 yr warranty. Rumour has the new refurbishments now come with extra cooling. We shall see. I only hope I don't get sent another problem.
In any case, I love my 360 and its game selection...but get as much warranty as you can possibly get.
agreed. The replacement box with a new 1 yr warranty is there for good reason too.
I think its good customer service. I think MS was trying to be this global game console provider but with a U.S. warranty. The rest of the world gets a 1 yr warranty for electronics, so MS just got with the rest of the world in terms of warranty.

I really believe it was negligence on the part of Toshiba and Samsung for the disk scratching. And I believe that MS closedthe manufacturing plants in China down because they were not manufacturing properly.
MS did some massive testing, I read in article in Popular Science or something, where the shaked it , baked it and froze and it and it was good to go.
So I say MS got shafted by the parts and manufacturing partners.
But with this dark cloud thats over them right now, I can honestly say go buy a 360 , you will really enjoy it.
Its is a great system. And like anything some break, but All I can say is that I have had mine forever, played Oblivion for like 11 hours straight and its still rocking.

Its great has a ton of games and its just going to get better, iI can't wait to see whats in store for 360 owners next year too.
[QUOTE="-Ninja_Dog-"]I have my 360 and its a dream of engineering.
Runningflame570
360 is far from a "dream of engineering" its cheaply made and it shows. For instance compare the internals of the PS3 to the internals of the 360, the PS3's motherboard and overall construction makes it look like you are comparing a budget Compaq and a top of the line Alienware.
You honestly beleive that someone could choose 11 straight bad ones out of a pool of 32? That just seems improbbable.Vandalvideo
Improbable by no means is the same thing as impossible, so while it may not be probable its not impossible and seeing as he continues to buy games for the thing, its not like hes deliberately sabotaging them either (aside from you know..the phone recordings proving he had that many die).
Yet the PS3 can barely muster the same performance.
Go figure.
