The saved games from STALKER 1.0 are not compatable with the first patch. If your saves went from 1.0 to 1.005, they would not be compatable. The saved games from the first patch are compatable with each new patch after that.sinjin536
how f ing gay anyway do u think the performance boost from the patch is worth starting over, im only an hour into the game. How about halo 2 how do i fix that. i really hate the game on vista, legendary is so freaking hard. anyone know a place to trade in old pc games, don't say ebay because i can't deal with their fees.
as the above poster menbtioned it serves to deter piracy altough its effectiveness leaves much to be desired and ends becomes a nuinance for the legit buyers.johnny27
Thanks, i was just making sure it wasn't something i did during installation. or the fact that i took the disc out before i ran the game for the first time. i heard something about that, that if u take the disc out before u run a freshly installed pc game for the first time, u will always need the cd after that. any truth to that rumor.
cus they think it makes a difference in pirating? Obviously never heard of cracks.Grantelicious
but other games like lost planet, stalker, and halo 2 don't need a cd to play. im all for curbing pirating of games but why inconvienice your loyal consumers. i guess that is what steam is for.
Why do games like crysis and splinter cell double agent require a cd to play. this is really annoying because i always have to get them out of their nicely shelfed cases to run them. Crysis didn't do this till i installed it on my new hard drive after unistalling it from the old one. and now because of the new patch i can't use the no cd crack.
Splinter cell double agent is just a mess on vista, it crashes alot, and quick save and checkpoints don't actually count as saved games after a crash, plus it doesn't even run super high resolutions, i.e 1680X1050. and why do i need a cd to run this game. would it help if i unistalled both games and reinstalled them to get rid of the using a cd to play? does this even make any sense. thanks
