My big announcement.

You all should know me well enough to know that I'm always early. The reason I wrote down my wish list, the reason I made a big hoopla about this is I’m leaving GS. I’m leaving, period. I’m not coming back. This site has taken up too much of my time. I should have left back in Mach, and I could’ve gotten a lot more done in the summer. But I’ve learned from my mistake, and this time I’m going to delete my account via the manage account section.

My time here at GS was quite enjoyable. I like voicing my opinion, but I don’t like finding myself with no time to do anything I want. My whole summer has been church, Mindy, GS, sleep. That’s it. That’s not how life should be lived. I need to have time for reading some books, playing some games, raising up money, writing in my journal, many things! And with school starting soon, I’ll have even LESS time and this would just prove to be a stumbling block. A man has to have his priorities. And GS isn’t a top priority.

Matthew 5:30 "And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell." (KJV) Is GS going to send me to hell? No. Nothing can, I’m covered in His blood forever. But my life would be the closer to hell if I don’t follow God and I don’t do what’s wise and what’s best. And the best thing I could do is quit GS. It’s proved to be nothing but a waste of time. Is anything I’m posting in those forums really making an impact? No. The only good thing about a GS account has been this journal. But I’d rather lose this journal and live life like I should, than have everything be a wreck.

You guys are all great. I’ll miss you all. Follow God. Crack that Bible open some time and listen to what God tells you through His Word. Before you do anything, think it through and ask yourself "Is this really worth it in the long run?" to my fellow Christians, before you do anything you even FEEL is immoral, ask yourself "Would I say/do this in front of my pastor? Or my parents? Or my girlfriend or boyfriend’s parents?" If the answer is even "MAYYYYBE…." Let me tell you something: God is a little bit more holy than they are. Don’t do it. Proverbs 3:5, man.

To you all, I say God bless and stay focused! Live your life for those that you love, like I do. And we all know Whom I love the most. And when dealt a raw deal or when someone makes a mistake, don’t be bitter. Don’t hold a grudge. It hurts you and affects you. It not only makes you bitter to them, but also to a lot of other people. Be quick to forgive, but do not forget. Learn from the experience, but don’t ever mention it to them again and don’t feel any negative feelings toward that person or situation. What’s done can’t be undone, just let it go. Respond to your PMs through this entry's comment box, or e-mail me at lebajr6195@yahoo.com. Good bye all! Good bye!

Big announcement tomorrow, big list tonight.(no 56K!) (come on in y'all!)

So I wrote down every game in my wish list that I NEED to buy and it ended up to be 52 games. Better start saving up. The games either release this year (I hope) or have already been released. I'll write a blurb on SOME, but not all. But I know me, so I think I'll probably write a least SOMETHING for all of them. Don't fall asleep!

The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess

You all know me. I may be an RPG-fanatic, but the love of my video gaming life goes to Zelda! This one looks like it'll definitely surpass Wind Waker! It probably won't be better than Ocarina of Time, because if it did, it'd instantly be the greatest game ever made. I doubt it'll be better than Ocarina of Time, but I could still hope. But whether or not it's better than OoT, one thing's for sure. It'll be completely awesome! To Aonuma! Nintendo forever! 8)

Final Fantasy X

While not better than Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy VIII, I still want it more. It's truly the defining game of RPGs for the PS2. Spectacular in every way and simply one of the best games of all time. A good example of the amazing Square of old, not this Square-Enix garbage!

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

Okay, okay, so this was above Final Fantasy X on my other smaller and similar entry, big whoop! Maybe I really started missing FFX. Maybe Newborn trash-talking the game hampered my desire for it slightly. Either way, I still REALLY want this game badly. I know, Newborn, I know, but I don't care. I really want to get this game! The sequel to the best GC game and has gotten very high scores as well. Yes please!

Final Fantasy VII

Ah, what can I say about a game so amazing? The second greatest game of all time? Yes, that's quite fitting. The RPG that only other Final Fantasy games could ever even TRY to compare to.

Dark Cloud 2

Ugh! I miss this game so much! This game was SOO good, and I never even beat it! It was so amazing! If Sony was trying to make a Zelda killer for the PS2, this one is certainly it! Yes, it's better than Wind Waker! Yes, better than Majora's Mask! But it's not better than OoT to ANY extent of the imagination and Twilight Princess will probably pwn this too. But to give Zelda a run for its money? That's certainly a major accomplishment! Also, Mindy's buying me this for my birthday, the day I get a new PS2. It's sweet of her to think of me like this. She knows how much I want this game.

Final Fantasy VIII for PS screenshot 1
Final Fantasy VIII

I absolutely loved this game, and still do! While it's probably better than Dark Cloud 2 (maybe, my minds a bit fuzzy at the moment) I still want Dark Cloud 2 more. This however, I really do want as well! So much that when I saw it at my GS last week, I hid it so no one else could get it and I could come back for it later. I hope it'll still be there by the time I have the money for it. :?

Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean

Ever since the first time I HEARD of this game, I knew I needed to buy it one day. While it may not have gotten fancy-pants high scores at GS, it got high scores in my mind from my brief time with it and the concept of it all. I really need to pick this bad boy up!

Shadow of the Colossus for PS2 screenshot 6
Shadow of the Colossus (Not box art)

The game that the PS2 fans are already idiotically touting as the Zelda killer. Ahh, what fools. Shadow of the Colossus is made by the same team that made ICO (Sony) and is certain to be one heck of a game. Zelda killer? No. Killer period? Definitely.

Final Fantasy IX

So underappreciated. Sure it wasn't EXACTLY what FF fans were expecting, but it was still an awesome RPG nonetheless! I only got to disc three I believe before I had return it when I was yea high, but I knew it was a pretty darn good RPG. Certainly not the best in the series, but certainly not the worse. That dubious honor goes to Final Fantasy Tactics, which I don't REALLY consider part of the FF series.

Lost in Blue

Yep, out of the 'Q4 onslaught' for the DS and in a myriad of great, great games, I choose one that most people haven't even seen a screen shot of! Why? I've been wrapping my head around that for quite a while. I suppose the biggest factor is the whole romance possibility between the game's protagonist and female counter part. As you may not know, I'm a romanticist. Love a good love story! Also the whole survival thing piques my interest as well.

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness

Yeah, I've never mentioned this one before. Why? Because it wasn't until recently witnessing the video review that I became VERY interested in this game. Everything about the game sounds completely awesome. Not to mention, 200 hours of gameplay? Good bye summer '06!

Silent Hill 3

Never got to finish this during the time I rent it, but I could tell this game screams quality! As a moderately big Silent Hill aficionado, this is something I need to get. Great graphics, interesting story so far, and everything about it was pretty great! Check the reviews yourself if you don't believe me!

Heard many good things from this game, saw the video review myself and I must say, I was surprised! Surprised at how interesting and appealing this game was to me! Something about it gravitates me to it! And for only $20, that's a steal! (Assuming it's as good as I hope)

I remember playing this back on my original Playstation.... Simply put: INCREDIBLE! You can ask MAILER_DAEMON, this game pwns! Certainly one of the top twenty, if not one of the top ten games ever created. A must-play for everyone! Even those that hate Sony! (Like me)

Chrono Cross(Forgive me if pic doesn't appear.)

A perfect 10 from GS!? AND it's an RPG!?!? This just screams my hands on a controller with this game in the disc tray!!

I've never played a 2D Metroid before. EVER. So why do I want to play this so badly? I'm ashamed to admit that mere curiosity is the biggest factor to my interest. The other factor is because of Metroid Prime - so good, I need to see everything else about the series.

Tekken 5

I like fighting games. Not so much as to where I'm teh cowsual :P, but I do enjoy fighting games! And this one is rated pretty highly, and Mindy loves Tekken, all the more reason to buy it. I must confess that the only thing that puts this above Soul Calibur II is that Mindy loves Tekken, and I'm just a big softie. Yeah, yeah, make fun of me why don't you?

Harvest Moon DS

I haven't played a Harvest Moon game in forever! I played the one for GC last, but it got kind of boring after a while. I still have #3 for GBC and I loved it until my farm went under at the end of the third year ........ Famitsu (which have 4 people review it) reviewed it and the scores were 7, 7, 7, and 9. Hopefully I'll be the 9. :?

Silent Hill

Cult-classic, and I'm in that cult. As I mentioned earlier, I'm a moderately big Silent Hill aficionado and I must say that this squeaked by with the title of 'best in the series'! It was and still is a great game. Very captivating and disturbing.

Brave Fencer Musashi

A title that never really got much popularity when it came out. I'm sure Japan liked this game, but bad-tasted Westerners probably abhorred it. It still doesn't change that this game was spectacular. A real stand-out job done by Square. Square got into every genre, and I must say that this was one of their better outings. It was truly great, and still is. So much fun, this game was. Like Obi, done talking.

Mega Man Legends 2

The sequel to a game on PS titled Mega Man Legends. I was impressed by Mega Man's good transition to 3D and I thought the first game was fairly great. I didn't think they could come out with a better formula to succeed the first one. Then Capcom proved me wrong. This game was fun, enthralling and worth scouting my town over for a used copy.

Legend of Legaia

I just recently looked up the scores for this game, and it didn't fare too well. I suppose this is my Legend of Dragoon, because Mindy loves Legend of Dragoon, and it got bad ratings. And I remember finding it pretty boring. Legend of Legaia on the other hand, also has bad-average scores and I loved it! i absolutely loved it! It was so great and so enthralling, and I found it innovative and unique! Truly one of the best RPGs I'll ever remember playing. So shut up GameSpot and IGN, my opinion is mine. No matter how persuasive your passive nazi-regime of forcing your opinions on other people is!

Final Fantasy X-2

A game that has the dubious title of 'worst FF ever!' Idiots. Was it overrated by IGN? Yes. Was it different? Yes. Was it disappointing? Yes. Was it still a much-higher-than-average RPG? YES! Get off Square-Enix's back already! They tried and they still delivered a very good RPG experience! Sure it was disappointing compared to the other FF games, but it was still pretty darn good! This probably about as good as Final Fantasy XII will be, but XII will probably be better. Ever since the merge, Square hasn't been the same. But can they still deliver great RPGs? Apparently so.

Nintendogs: Dachshund & Friends

Mindy doesn't like dogs, so don't think I want to get this so I can like.... I don't know. What WOULD I do anyway? She doesn't have a DS. Anyway, this is for me baby! It's all me! {Percentage range of wish list consisting of RPGs: 32.69%-37.5% Either way, that should be enough to show I'm an RPG fanatic! If one out of every three games I buy are RPGs, then that's a lot! I'm pretty diverse in my gaming selection, but RPGs are just..... the best. Simply put.}

I recommend everyone of you check out the video review or read up on these games, except the classic remakes like SMW and Sonic Adavance 3. Also, you can comment and say if any games on this list match up with some of your most wanted games. Start some conversation!

So I what's the point of all this? Why did I write down every game in my wish list and prioritize? It's all related to my big announcement tomorrow night. See you then. Also, make sure to check your PM box when you log on the day after tomorrow. My announcement will be up some time between 10:00 PM and 12:00 PM EST. That's from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM according to GS's time, which is PST. See you tomorrow night.

Also, congrats to everyone that read ALL of that! If you did, I think you should be institutionalized. The only thing crazier than reading all that, is writing it!

Whoopin' and a hollerin'!

Most video game stores won't carry AO games! *commences celebration dance* Virgin pina coladas for everyone!

UPDATE: *Finishes reading article* Drat... Take-Two (Rockstar's main branch) will be producing a new version of the game where the whole hot coffee programming lines won't happen. __________________________________________________________

Went to the beach for the first time in like 5 years! We had youth service on the beach, it went off pretty well.

Welluppers...

(WARNING! Long and tedious entry ahead!)

So I think I'll catch up on the past couple of days. I'll start with Saturday.

Well Saturday was the day that an acquaintance of mine, who's actually one of Mindy's old friends (hence how I know him), had his birthday. And I acted like an immature jerk, and I hate that I did. I'm not going to go into why, but I was foolish in doing so, even though I didn't do it PURPOSELY, but I wasn't wise in my behavior. Overall, I did have a good time and so did Mindy. I just had a lot on my mind. But eventually I got it straightened out, after the party.

Sunday I had church in the morning. Pastor just got back from Romania after going to Romania with our missionary to Romania, as well as like a bunch of teens from our youth group and some college and adults too. Then at night I went back to church, and those who go on Sunday night to youth are part of 'Active Praise', our youth drama team and choir. We rehearsed a skit which we plan to do in youth group on Wednesday night in a couple of weeks, and probably during a Sunday during morning service. I play the lead role, Jesus. It's a wordless skit though, so no lines to memorize ^-^ Then I got home and talked to Mindy on the phone for a while, and I can't remember what else I did.

Monday was Mindy's mom's birthday, so I didn't get to talk to Mindy until like 5:30. I tried to work on those lockers (Yes, I'm still working on those!) but as soon as I started, I had too much stuff on my mind. So I went home, and then I had a headache and I took an aspirin. But I needed something enjoyable for me too do, that was rather silent. So I went over to both of my GameStops and looked through their entire GC, PS2, PS1, and DC library and I mostly went to just remind myself of what I need to buy. I am buying a PS2 again, sadly. I need to. Anyways, it helped. Then I went back home and talked to Mindy and had a great conversation. Then after 8:30 (the time she has to get off remember?), I read some of my book and then I think at like 11 PM I looked up like 6 reviews on GS. I read 4 of them, but then my computer froze so I went to sleep. I also downloaded a demo of the PC game from '97, The Curse of Monkey Island. Haven't played it yet.

Then finally today! Woke up, called Mindy and had a wonderful conversation for about 2 hours. Then I went to clean those lockers and I cleaned for about an hour. This time I used a gas-mask thingamajigger, because some fo the stuff I use is not the healthiest stuff to take in. I probably lost like 10 years of my life for not using it those past times (kidding, kidding). So then I stayed about an hour afterwards and talked with some church staff. Got home, talked to Mindy for about an hour and a half. Then I went back to my Gamestops and I took a paper and pen with me this time and I wrote down every game I wanted, plus their priced, plus whether or not they were used. I racked up like 39 games in total that I wanted. So that's why if you look at my wishlist now, you'll see it has about doubled. I really need to get a hold of those old PS1 games, before they're snatched up. So once I get this money fountain to start working, I'll have the best collection ever! :P I also downloaded 4 video reviews and I'm currently planning to read through 7 GS reviews. I also plan to try out the Curse of Monkey Island demo tonight.

I really do want to get a hold of a lot of those games though.... Just so I know I'll have them available to me whenever I want. Because I mostly don't have the time to play video games, but it's nice to know I'll have something to do and a lot of memories to make and remember whenever I have the time. So here's a top 5 available games sort of thing for each platform, excluding the DC because they didn't have any good DC games, and I only know of about 3 I want. This is also excluding games I've already beaten.

  1. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

As you can see, 10 of my 15 games listed are all RPGs. The DC games were Shenmue, Shenmue II, Jet Grind Radio, and Soul Caliber. That's basically it. And lastly, a question to all viewing this journal. What game was given the lowest score on GS that you'd give an AAA score to? Thanks for taking the time to read this gigantic thing!

Ignorance in intelligence's clothing

I strolled into SW today and on one thread this guy who claimed to be a Christian was disccusing with a non-Christian, and at firs tI thought 'good' when I see his first two or three posts towards the non-believer, but then he starts saying some ignorant stuff. I'm not saying the guy's stupid though, there's a difference between ignorance and stupidity.

He first off starts by saying that God created people after the Creation, which is not true. Gensis 2:2 "And on the seventh day, God ended his work which he had made." He ended it. There's no more creation to be had, and if there were other people, then the Bible would have mentioned it. He backed up his reason by saying that there had to be because of different races and stuff. Let me share a word with you, it's called "climate." The climate of people affects there skin tones, and as for other distingiushable features of the face and body and such, it's called mutation.

Then some posts after this, the other guy said, "Well I was a Christian, but I stopped believing when my prayers weren't being answered." Then the Christian said, "Well if you prayed for something unselfish or something, then He'd answer them." And the other guy said, "My grandma was sick and I prayed she wouldn't die and she did." Both of them have made fatal mistakes. First off, as for your prayers not being answered, I say you weren't praying with the right heart attitude. In James 4:3 says "Ye ask and receive not because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your own lusts." God's not a lia, He says He'll give you something He will. But you need to prayer in supplication Biblically! That's kind of what the other guy was trying to say, but he messed up. He said if it's an unselfish prayer, then God will answer it. Slightly true, slightly not. Let me use the example of that guy's grandma. He was praying that she lived, that's what he wanted. You don't ask God to fulfill your plans, but rather His. A friend of mine is probably moving to New York soon, and he's already arranged his whole life here, he doesn't want to move. I don't really want to see him go, but when I prayer for him, I don't say, "God, don't let him move." I say, "God put him to where he can come closest to You." Pray that all things are for the benefit of God's kingdom, not your own. The guy with the grandma, with a faith that goes unfounded in just a couple of unanswered 'prayers' I assume just prayed "Oh let grandma get better." The Biblical prayer IMO would've been "God, if you can use grandma anymore, if she can share the Gospel with anyone else and lead them to You, please do so. But Lord if she has to die, let her death be a testimony of your awesomeness and wonderfulness God. Let people get saved by her death. Let Your glory be shone by her death." And that'd be a hard prayer to pray if your grandma's dying, but THAT'S the unselfish prayer seeking after God's kingdom rather than yours.

Sorry, just thought I'd say this. So how have y'all been doing? I'll write about the last couple days tomorrow probably. Also, I'm listening to Superstar by The Carpenters. Not that you care :P

P.S. J-Freak, you're riling me up! I just saw a dev interview kind of thing on Oblivion!..... ARGH! Why does this game sound so awesome!?!? So that's one game that I'm sure is going to be awesome. I'll need 3 or 4 more on the system to fully convince me to buy one (after a price drop of course).

Oh well....

I planned to temporarily take off my sig and avatar, but I made a mistake and my entire sig is gone. My avatar I don't mind, I like being mysterious and different. But my sig is gone... *sigh* Oh well, I was getting tired of it anyway. I need to ask someone to photoshop me a new one, unless I get photoshop myself soon, which I might. I'll probably have it match up with my avatar. Sorry, just thought I'd express my mild regret in losing my sig.
