[QUOTE="PrimusGears"] damage control over a boring demo with graphics nowhere near the hype that cows were saying, ok, FIipMode

This is exactly what I am talking about, your so intimidated that you can't crack on the physics anymore or the wall riding mechanics so now GT haters like you have to resort to attacking the graphics even though its been stated time and time again this is only to "showcase the realism of the brand-new physics engine" You still have to act as though these graphics in the demo somehow represent the final product but you yourself know deep in your fanboy heart its not the case at all. And for the demo being boring thats your opinion, but since your just a hater it doesn't surprise me one bit. ;)

well said

about a 6/10 you have to many sports games that dont appeal to me.

Here is my collection, I have a few missing such as WarHawk, Wipeout, echochrome, pixeljunkeden, MK2, AND STARTHING HD as I got them of PSN and I also got Hanna Montana lol, X-men Origins and WET. but over all I think I have a good variety

Gran Turismo has had a bit of a mixed history on gamespot - I dont think it has anything to do with bias, but more to do with the fact that the games take so long to come out that they are not as good as what they would have been if they had been released a year earlier.Compare the old scores to the scores of Forza and its not looking good for GT5.

Forza need to be given credit it has achived alot more then PD in less time.

Playstation

Gran Turismo - GS Score 8.6

"No matter what flavor of racer you favor, Gran Turismo will take you for a ride you won't soon forget."

Gran Turismo 2 - GS Score 8.5

"Fans of the original and those looking for a pure driving simulation should flock to store shelves without delay, but for the rest, that add-on philosophy may not sit well."

Playstation 2

Gran Turismo 3 - GS Score 9.4

"Its endless tuning options and many racing events will keep you engrossed in the game for many months, and it's accessible enough to be enjoyed by anyone who's the least bit interested in driving an exotic car."

Gran Turismo 4 - GS Score 8.9

"When GT4 works to its strengths, it delivers like few games of this console generation."

Xbox

Forza Motorsport - GS Score 9.2

"Forza Motorsport lets you own, customize, and race your favorite cars. You can collect models from more than 60 manufacturers and then race to earn money for upgrades and aftermarket parts."

Xbox360

Forza Motorsport 2 - GS Score 9.2

"Forza brings real cars, real locations, and realistic racing to the Xbox 360."

Forza Motorsport 3 - GS Scpre 9.5

"Microsoft's acclaimed customizable racing series is returning for another lap on the Xbox 360."

Lets also take into account that the Forza developers have not milked thier fanbase by releasing demo's for £20 a pop.

^ I think I do enough to help Sony lol.

I am a PS3 owner - I buy games - I play games - I am a gamer.

Just because I dont play Uncharted 2 constantly it does not mean I dont play games. I have never played uncharted 2 online. The only reason for this is that I like it for the single player. As good as it is online I never bought it for this reason. With all the great games avalible for the PS3 at the moment the number online for this game dont come as a shock.

Lately I've been playing great single player games such as AC2, Deadspace, falllout, infamous and MGS4, online has not had much of a look in.

Halo 3 is a game for online gamers, uncharted 2 no so much imo.

Uncharted 2 is an example of a very well optimized game, which was made faster and more easily then MGS4 because Naugthy Dog was building off of the completed Uncharted 1 engine. Uncharted 2 apparently streams most of the data off the bluray disc as the game plays so that it feels completely seamless once you start up the game. however it's not perfect. remember that there is a load screen when you first boot up the game, showing the spinning dagger. this load screen, which is a harddrive cache, I believe, can go on for over a full minute. (that harddrive cache is temporary, unlike MGS4, where it stays on the HDD and you don't download it everytime)

Mordred19

Metal gear solid 4 was in development since 2004 for its 2008 release.

Uncharted was in development in 2005 for a 2007 release and Uncharted 2 only took 18 months to make.

the development time for both uncharted games was less then that of MGS4.

while uncharted may not be perfect it shows how a game should be done and improved over its original, I would rather wait 1 min for the game to load ebery gaming session, then 3 to 4 mins every level.

Naughty dog have alot more to show for there development time then the MGS team.

[QUOTE="anthonydwyer"]

[QUOTE="HAZE-Unit"]

each act had the potential to be a different game but Kojima didn't hesitate to put them all in one package of delivery.

I mean look at all of the MGS series, each game was only inside one environment.

HAZE-Unit

Yet it seems alot of people like them better then MGS4.

And alot of people also disagree :?

That was not the point, you wanted to know what made the install in each act and Im bringing you some possibilities of why.

like I have already said games the same could be said for uncharted 2, it has excellent graphics, excellent machanics a longer campaign and does not have an install.

I think tbh metal gear could be done on the 360 with 2 dvds and no installs (with a bit of compression and still look as good). If it carn't, whats the point in MGS rising?

if rising is done on the 360 and PS3 and looks and plays as good as MGS4 and only reqiures an install on the PS3 version, it would prove it is a development fault.
