BF3 all the way. After all the crap that was MW2 and BLOPS I'm finished with the series for good I had a lot more fun with BFBC2 multiplayer anyways. All were going to see is the same old tired CoD engine since 2004. With laggy broken multiplayer that they didn't even bother to beta test. sledgehammer is an unproven team that for all we know might screw up big time. And even though the IW name will be on the box everyone knows that almost the entire team has moved on to Respawn. Add to that the rumor about the teir system for multiplayer and all I see is a giant stinky pile of Fail in CoD future.

I think you are confusing run of the mill wannabees who don't actually know anything other than how to download somebody else's software off the internet and install it on their system with the folks that are actual hackers.

The actual hacking has barely begun. The teenagers running scared, all worried about their systems are not hackers.

I am all for Sony taking what measures it deems necessary to reduce/curb the everyday wannabee teenage pseudo hackers. Good for them and I hope they have great success with it. But the real hackers are going to defeat these latest efforts at which time the teenage wannabees will jump back into the fray and the cycle will repeat.

You do realise that after upgrading to 3.56 you can't go back to 3.55 even the real hackers and not teh kiddies are saying this too. Also with 3.56 Sony fixed the problem with their private keys so hackers can use that exploit to sign their CFW on 3.56. Not only that but the hackers cant disable their PS3's from phoning home if their hooked up to the internet. This is embedded on the hardware they can't get around it unless the don't connect to the internet. Their choice is simple stay off line and buy another PS3 for PSN or upgrade to 3.56.

Or filter all incoming traffic to your ps3, and make any needed modifications.

That fine but if you try to log onto PSN they will find you and the Ban Hammer will say Hi...

[QUOTE="FIipMode"][QUOTE="2beers_in_hand"] I know isn't it hilarious when the PS3 first got hacked they were like were unstoppable Sony can't do anything. Sony releases 3.56 making it impossible to go back to 3.55 and now Sony sends out a warning about banning their consoles and all the CFW users are freaking out. I can't wait for when the mass ban hammer drops it's going to be great.

Yeah people really did act like Sony were infants dealing with adults (the hackers) way too many people were putting these guys on some sort of pedestal. now that the hackers know they can be terminated they don't seem so untouchable.

Sony knows who has CFW and who doesn't. I for one can't wait to hear the excuses from the banned hackers LOL...

I expect an anti-detection detection countermeasure whoop dee doo within 96 hours.

This cat & mouse game should be fun to watch over the coming year.

Meanwhile, if we really wanted to put a dent in piracy we already could without any new tech, or any security devices at all. Start by enforcing the current piracy laws against a few thousand middleclass kids by dropping $1,000 fines on them. It really isn't difficult, but as a society we are unwilling to do what is necessary.

You mean the Sony fanboys will have to cancel the 'We got rid of teh Hackerz' party? You know how expensive a Mariachi band is ?

Have you read some of the other forums like at Gaf??? The hysteria is already starting people asking about ways to delete CFW so their poor consoles don't recieve the ban hammer. Of course it will be a cat and mouse game but as long as it keeps them to a minimum on the PSN it is a win in my book.

Gentlemen if I wanted to build a good PC gaming rig and have about 800 to throw down on it what would you recommend. I would want to build a new one from the ground up.

Idk man, I don't think any of our fellow kind hearted GameSpotter's would ever participate in such pathetic behavior

I find nothing pathetic about it. If someone has fun with cheating online who am I to call him pathetic?

I have seen my fair share of cheaters on the PC and you know what? I don't care if they find it entertaining then let them be. It's just a game.

You would be a person who bought a game in order to play it the way the developers meant for it to be played and to not have your fun ruined by some low lifes who obviously have too much time on their hands

I'm with you Poole if you can't play the game the way it was meant to be played you shouldn't even be playing then.

Sony is already dropping the ban hammer on hacked consoles for violating TOS... Hackers are getting error messages saying that theirs accounts are banned. http://attackofthefanboy.com/news/reports-ps3-bans-begun/With the last firmware up date Sony fixed some of their mess ups and made them able to find hacked consoles. Look for Sony to sell a lot of new PS3's in the near future.
