I agree best optimal combo this gen. If you dont mind missing those Wii games then you'll get the best experience. MSG4, GeOW, FFXIII, GT5, Bioshock, KZ2, WIC, CRYSIS,.... damn I could go on forever.

Meh, xbox 360/ps3 is much better imo. MGS4, Ninja Gaiden 2, Halo 3, Bioshock, Banjo Threeie, FFXIII, Lost Odyssey, Forza 2, GT5, DOA4, Tekken 6, Virtua Fighter Online, Mass Effect and the biggest one of all GTAIV (all of it!).

It really depends what kind of games you like. Personally I'm going PC/Wii.

You saying it's a waste of money is your opinion and not advice. PC gaming is great if you have the money for it. It is most definitely not a waste.

From what I played of the demo on medium graphics settings(which still lag on my high end PC.) it really is just your run of the mill generic FPS with better graphics.. So yes just eye candy.Dahaka-UK

That's just you. In my opinion it has some of the best gameplay ever in fps.

I played it on a x1900xt on medium/high settings. Boy was I disappointed. Don't get me wrong. It's technically the best looking game I've ever played. But the amount pop-up in the game was ridiculous. And even with X6 AA (the highest I could set it) there was a fair amount of jaggies. Also, the sound of peoples voices and their lips was NEVER in sync. At one point, on the aircraft carrier, the woman's voice was a whole second behind her lips.

And maybe it's just me, but it was nowhere near the best FPS gameplay I've experienced. (that would be HL2.) I played the first few chapters on hard but it got so tedious I just played the rest of the game on easy. And again, it could be my personal gameplay s-tyle but almost the entire game I just set the suit to defense. Overall, it came NOWHERE near HL:2 in gameplay. I even prefer HL2's artistic/realistic graphics to those the purely realistic Crysis. In 7 or 8 years, Crysis will look outdated and HL2 will still look great.

I'm glad Gametrailers had the guts to give this game what it really deserved. I'm not one for conspiracy theories but after this whole Jeff thing, I'm left wondering if EA didn't slip GS a few Benjamin's for the 9.5. (Compare that to it's 9.0 GR average)

That's your freaking problem if you don't know how to use the nanosuit well. I always switch between all of them and try to use different approaches to things and it makes it a lot more interesting. I'm on my third play through already and I'm having a total blast. HL:2 didn't have amazing gameplay at all. I love HL:2 for the atmosphere and story telling a LOT more than the gameplay. Crysis takes a big dump on HL2 in terms of gameplay.

I agree w/ the 8.8 score they gave Crysis b/c the game is NOT that fun to play more than once and the game is not nearly as innovative to the genre as the GS review claimed. I spent a lot of money to play the game on high settings and even though it looks great, it's still not even close to being worth the money.

For me, Crysis is not even close to the best shooter on the PC right now. I'll still take BF2 over Crysis any day of the week.

Thank you sir for your honesty. I kept away from videos of this game and mostly looked at the still screens. Seeing it running I could not believe this site gave it a 9.5.

It deserves a 9.5. Legendo can have his own opinion of it and I have mine and so does Ocampo. I have played BF2, COD4, Bioshock and all the other big shooters and I can clearly say (imo of course) that Crysis takes a massive dump over all of them. Maybe Legendo didn't didn't the gameplay was fun but that's his problem cause I think it's the best single player experience I have ever had. Also it look AMAZING on high. The gametrailers video doesn't do it justice.
