I think you're doggin' on Mr. 1984 (which I'm okay with), but are you implying he should've used a better insult on sexuality? If so, I'm not at all okay with that.
Video games will never get the respect of the community as an art form as long as gamers act like hd1984. Show some respect for yourself and respect others. You don't have to like everyone or agree with them, but the basis for civilized society is respect.
By my name, you probably can figure out that I'm an American. However, I respect a different style than my own. I do recognize that the action in this game has a "japanese" feel to it, if you will. And although that's not my cup of tea, I respect that others like it. I've enjoyed my share of CoD and BF games, but I do enjoy others (Demon/Dark Souls being my all-time favorite franchise). And, unless I'm mistaken, I believe those were developed in Japan.
Shiotaka, you are mistaken. No streaming games are remotely rendered. The processor power on servers would be astronomical. That's why you rely on local hardware. The only thing streamed is the information needed to render the game locally. For example, if you play CoD online, the server just tells your PS3 where the players are at, what direction they're facing, how fast they're going and when they're shooting (a relatively small data set). Your PS3 then takes that information and draws it on the screen while sending the same data set about your character to the server for other PS3s to use. Streaming ALL the data would be huge. One frame of a 1080P game is 1920x1080, which is 2.07 MB of data. On a game that renders at 30 frames per second, your looking at 60.14 MB per second download. In an hour of gaming, you'll have downloaded 216 GB of data. I don't know too many ISPs that can support that. I'm not even sure if Google Fibre could handle it.
