Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I think there is an option for purchasing games online only (no discs) on release day.

The dealbreaker for most (albeit subconsciously) I believe is the under-powered hardware. Had X1 been more powerful than PS4, people might've begrudgingly accepted the privacy invasive Kinect.
