@NoR4Me @nickpeck36 @northArrow It's you kids that are so blind to what this generation is doing that is the problem. They are moving into dangerous territory by requiring an always online connection, cloud-based gaming, and shit hardware that has a harddrive built in while you are required to install games onto it. People like you that blindly follow a company is what's wrong with this generation. No one that is truly upset is upset with the lack of games. We all know they are coming, that's not the issue. Neither is the entertainment aspect. The core console "features" are the issue.
@experience_fade Also, did your router stutter? Oh no! you just got booted out of your streaming game with no chance to save. This is a common occurance and a frustrinting one. You may think you have the best internet that NEVER falters, but when's the last time you reset your router because it was slow or it cut out? I bet most of you would say within the past month or two.
Cloud based gaming is bad because it requires a constant internet connection, and a good one at that. OnLive tried a service like this and it fell through because current bandwidth that is widely available cannot sustain such a connection without the occasional falter. and when that happens, that leads to corrupted save files and content. The tech is not available to support this on a wide range. Know your hardware before raving about your fangirlism.
@Gr3gSolidus @A_Rabid_Dog Blue ray disks can take upwards of 50gigs installed. that means about 10 games you get.
You can't borrow games MS has stated that. If you want to borrow your friend's game, you have to pay a fee because you have to download the game to your hard drive.
You cant buy used games cheap because there will be an additional fee to install said used game on your hard drive. again, confirmed by ms.
it's not an inconveniendce to lose all previous market purchases. I can understand the non 360 game compatbility, due to different disk types, but arcade games are digital content that can and should be run on both systems.
I don't understand the people still willing to buy this console. I get their arguments that "xbox is just offering more", and yes that is true, but they are TAKING MORE AWAY on top of that. You cannot switch your hard drives. You cannot "borrow" games. You cannot buy used games cheap. You cannot play ANY 360/arcade games from the old system. You are required to have a monitoring device active and connected to the internet daily. They are even pushing "cloud" based gaming, which is also always online.
They have done nothing to deny these claims, and every single one of them is a step backwards for the industry.
No one gives a shit that they only showed the media. It's extra usability, fine, whatever. We know they will show games, whatever. The problem is that the console itself is so ass-backwards that it is a ridiculous amount of DRM, rivaling even Ubisoft's notorious DRM shit.
I will say again, No one cares about the entertainment, or the lack of games showcased. The console itself is just plain rubbish.
2) shouldnt have to sacrifice anything when a console is supposed to be an improvement. especially not THAT big of a sacrifice.
3) Happens a lot actually. Go look it up. The most popular was when a friggen SCHOOL turned on student's webcams. It happens, yes, so stop deluding yourself there fangirl.
4) see reason 3
You can't see why because you are blind to anything but your fandom.
