Well I eventually bought all three and my impressions so far are these...

360 - Had this since launch. It's great but I don't like the blades and most of the arcade games. Looking forward to more retro titles tbh. Can't fault xboxLive can you?

Wii - Not enough variety in games yet (and where our G** ***M Trauma Centre for the UK?!?!? Grrr!) but otherwise it's genius, small and perfectly formed.

PS3 - No idea why I bought this at launch tbh but I'm loving it atm. It's simple, the menu system is clean and faster to navigate than the blades on 360, it's powerful, it's familiar (but not too familiar) and so far it's getting more play time even tho I only own one PS3 game. I've even bought a few older PS2 games to play again as they definitely look better through teh PS3 output.

Laughable (or not) I'm basically enjoying downloaded games far more than most of the titles available on the shelves atm I just wish the PS3 had more DL'able games, that the 360 had more interesting DL'able games and that he Wii had more retail games! Not much to ask for is it!!!

I've got the Official MS wheel and it is sweet :) You get PGR3 with it and it runs ok with Test Drive too.

But, imo, it's far better with PGR3.

Well it looks much better on my 32" HDTV than it did on my old 32" SDTV so imo...

Well the PS2 was launched here in the UK in 2001 IIRC...so I'd go with 6 to 7 years for the 360 and PS3. The higher end gfx and capabilities will shine by then. Also some Sony commentators have said that the PS3 will go for ten....hmm you never know!

It's not a question of time it's a question of licensing...

Wish Sony would get it sorted personally as there is loads of space in teh sixaxis for rumble :)

BUT I imagine rumble would mess with the motion sensor side of things somewhat.

Well I picked up a copy of the game today. Sorting out the subsxription tomorrow sometime.

 Just wondering is it easy to cancel it and how do I do it?

 The reason I'm asking is that I'm moving house in a month or so. So I would want to cancel the subscription for that time pierod so I'm not playing for something I cant use.

You have to go into the billing section...Ie start FF from teh main menu and then choose Content ID -> Cancel ID.

Easy as that ;) When it works well it's quick. If you try near the billing date (usually beginning of month) it doesn't seem to work very well. Also if you resub, ie "Reactivate a Content ID" if you reopen it before the end of a month you get charged for that month (plus the next) regardless of how many days it's got left...Sux but it's true.
